Fair prices for the movies and the concessions. Small arcade. Good sized restrooms. Parking is limited to what is available on the streets or nearby lots, so allow time for walking.

Old review but this coming from a street kid from outside the theater. Back then, the movie never stopped outside which was awesome but now its calmer and more peaceful (read: kinda dull but still awesome)However, the establishment itself is amazing!! Most theaters are amazing and this one is no exception

Great theatre, munchies and close to the beach. So after the show you can take a nice romantic stroll on the beach. Or as a family . Its a great place to let the tide come in and take your worries as it goes out. Even if its just for one evening, it helps us relax. As we see the ocean washing away those feelings, we realize that it could be worse. Go and I hope you have a great night .

While I like the theatre I really like the staff! I forgot a backpack there with valuable contents. They called me, retrieved the backpack and held it in safe quarters until I could return to get it. Class people! Thank you!

Very nice theater and very helpful staff. Had to have an usher come in to stand guard to prevent a couple adolescent girls from disrupting the whole movie...but stand guard they did and we enjoyed the rest of the film. Very nice!

Pretty uncrowded, surprisingly few people there and after a certain time which I’m guessing is 10pm they close ticket sales out front and you have to go in and buy from concessions. Seats were comfortable and the theater had decent sound so not much else to review. Staff were friendly

Located in the downtown plaza, this is the locals theatre. Wish it had 3D, but other than there is always enough variety of different movies to choose from and they are very community oriented. Have been to red carpet openings, local church services and fundraisers here. So they are more than just a movie theatre and part of Oceanside

Probably my favorite theater in north county. Its ALL ABOUT DISCOUNT TUESDAYS! Sometimes you have to wait for the newer releases to be included. Sushi and drinks around the corner at Harney and EXCELLENT TEAS across the street!

Such a beautiful little movie theatre with all the major movies for a good price. Service was great and all the screens were very clean. Its also in a superb location surrounded by restaurants and near the beach.

The theater and seating are good and pricing is also. They need to make one improvement. Sometimes you need to go inside to the concession stand to buy your tickets. When that happens, they need to have a separate line for the people who are only buying tickets to the shows. To have to worry about missing the start to a movie because you are waiting for people to get their popcorn, etc., is a big mistake!

The theatre itself is great. I love that there are a variety of Good choices for lunch or dinner before your show. I only deduct 1 star because the weekend nightlife can get a little rowdy in the area and you typically have to park a couple blocks away.

Long time customer and Regal club member. I am so disturbed about the direction of this theater. Every time I am there it is practically empty. #1. You need to reopen the ticket booth. Buying tickets at the concession takes too long. #2. Stop the ridiculous assigned seating.Wondering why no one is coming to your theater? Start with the two above. Then lower prices, and give seniors (55+) a real discount.

I used my pass to buy a ticket to knives out. And half way through the movie. An attendant asked me;Just me if I had a ticket. That people and the manager wanted to know if I had a ticket. (Of course I did) but I did not like being singled out. This has never happened before and i will never ever return to this regal location. As a matter of fact the attendant did his walk and then came back to where I was. If I could give a lower score I would.

When we got there the picture was not on or sound. Went to ask why it hadnt started, because it was 5 minutes late. When the movie came on, it was not the beginning and there was no sound. We asked for our money back and they did. Very unprofessional

Theater 5 had no a.c. and no one turned the lights off til 4 of us went to complaint... That was 30 mins into the movie... But we got our money back and the manager was awesome!

Ok so I am a long time regal customer & Emma R. from this location is giving me grief about staying on a certain side of the theater while I was scanning posters for the app and looking at the selection of quarter machine options. I asked for her name so that I could make reference to her his situation to cooperate, as I made clarification of what I can and can’t do, while she was very rude interruptive and then wouldn’t share her name when I stated I would contact upper management about this “rule”. IT was actually so outrageous of how rude she was being I started video recording it where she began to walk away as I was asking her to please stop and talk about the policy and who I could talk to about this “rule” she went into a door and slammed it ! I’ve never been treated this way!I will update this as I seek to file a complaint.

Being that this theater is located very near to many restaurants you’d think there would be some kind of leniency with bringing in your take out boxes from a restaurant that is located 10 feet away next door. I fully understand no food allowed in the auditoriums. Could lockers of some sort or a checker be available so that movie goers who have just come from dinner to watch a movie don’t have to throw out their leftovers? Waste of money and a waste of food. Being that the public parking garage is a few blocks away, if you’re showing up to your movie with about 5 minutes to spare then you run the risk of either wasting the money you spent on food, or wasting the money you spent on movie tickets.Very annoying that there isn’t something in place so that guests can bring and store their belongings or takeout, instead of tossing in the garbage.

The Regal Theater in Oceanside is the one that I just mentioned while I was talking about Knockout Pizza. The sheets are very very comfortable the price is not bad guys if you taking your girl out for a date on Friday or Saturday night and youre going to take to the movie theater take her to Regal in Oceanside. Right there in the same area is a place called Knockout Pizza go enjoy some of their Pizza then go to the movie theater and after the theater right next door as you walk out to the right side is Cold Stone ice cream take her for ice cream afterwards you going to score lot of points. People if you looking for a place to go during the daytime on the weekends and during summer or the kids are out of school Regal Theaters pretty good place but that whole area has real neat places to shop and different restaurants to go to. Knockout Pizza is real good for the whole family but youve got several other restaurants up and down that walkway out there youve also got a Tea Cafe a coffee cafe and several other places out there that whole area is real enjoyable just to have fun during the day.

We were there today for a showing of Avengers End Game. We were there early and had 10 minutes to spare so we hopped in the concessions line. This dude, ROSS, took almost 30 minutes to serve 3 families and took him 10 minutes to serve us!. I have never seen anyone move so slow in my life. The snails in my garden are faster! We were 10 minutes early, but ended up almost 30 minutes late to our movie!

Great snacks. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. I live in Vista now and i still always go back to this Regal to watch movies. Specially on Tuesday where tickets are discounted and popcorn and drink is half off with your regal card. Awesome!!

Nice theater. Very clean. Ive never actually picked out an assigned seat before, but I guess maybe thats the difference with Las Vegas and California.. Unless its just A Regal thing..

The movie was great but waiting for it to start was 25 horrible, abusive minutes of loud, offensive commercials mixed with an occasional preview of a coming attraction. I won’t be back to this theater, even though it’s less than 10 minutes from my home.

A two star theater with four star prices. This place is pretty run down, definitely my last choice of movie theaters in North County.

First off this isn’t the grandest nicest theater you will ever be too, but it’s small and old, which to me has its own draw. It’s in the center of town and has an old time theater life to it! I love it because it tends to bring the whole town together and it does it’s job showing great new movies, which since this theater isn’t too busy you can normally see new movies all the time with minimal crowds! Hope this stays forever!

I went to Regal 16 in Oceanside today to watch the re-release of Avengers: Endgame with my boys. After 3 hours of waiting for the bonus footage, it was not there. We watched the same movie over again. The manager offered our money back or to come back at a later show. Regal customer service initially lied to me and said the only addition was the new spiderman trailer but, in the end I corrected them on that. They gave me 4 tickets but, I dont feel like they have an appreciation for the time and effort of mine that was wasted by them.

Came here to see a showing of Greta (the movie was a lot of fun). This is a pretty average theater, though cleaner than most. The ladies room is immaculate! The staff are friendly and the snack selection is fair.

Great place even for its wonderful view by the beach

The staff is kind and polite but the theater seats smell like mildew and feel nasty old....this locations is badly overdue for a serious remodel! I do not like this location! For Oceanside this is unacceptable in my opinion! Building tons of view restricting apartment complexes but not upgrading the theater by the beach?! Really?

Well managed and good service from employees. That is about the only good thing about this theater. The seats are subpar and in comfort and dont even recline. The screens are small and worst of all; everything costs as much as a luxury theater!

Unfortunately we went here to see the Sherlock Holmes movie which was the absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my life and I wish I could get that time back but its gone forever like Will Ferrells career apparently anyway this place was super nice and the popcorn was awesome also I enjoyed all of the really friendly people that served us from the beginning until the end thank you Regal Cinemas of Oceanside you are so awesome

I dont dislike it except for the fact the place is old and rundown and needs a make-over.

Kinda old and not the fanciest and cleanest but inexpensive, never crowded and super convenient.

This theater was clean from outside all the way to inside the theater. Staff was great and helpful. One thing that online said is that there is valet parking but the box office said there is not. Signs on mission lead to parking lots that either arent there or a couple of very long blocks away. Theres a parking garage but the box office said next door but there isnt one next door. Not sure what people with disabilities do that need to be a little closer. Dont go on Thursdays due to a farmers market going on along street across from theater. Street parking is 2 hours or less so that eliminates movie goers. The theater is great otherwise though. We would love to go back but the parking is an issue. We parked in a lot that was $5 but then that makes it more to see a movie.

It was amazing, especially you have your family and enjoy the movie.

We went here hoping for a great experience. The movie was good! But we complained 2 times during a movie about people talking and being rude. The management did nothing to fix the problem. What a bummer! Not so happy about that. They were having fun putting their hands up on the projector, shining lights, talking so loud, and being so rude when we asked them to be silent. Not one time Did management address this. :(

Nice theater with relaxing seats & tables

We always go on Tuesday the tickets are $7 each and popcorn is also half price.

Staff is nice and friendly. This is the type of theater where you dont have to chose your seats before and its first come first serve. A good thing is that the showings are never really packed so its not too hard to find a spot. However the seats count be updated.

Early movie, Deadpool!! Not crowded at all. Like I said it was early parking could be an issue but they do have a valet service. Pretzels were tasty. Prices are what they are. I suggest an early movie if you are looking for a lower priced showing

Watched a double feature of ROb zomBIEs, the devils rejects and 3 from hell. the last showing in theaters. Being the 1st time coming to this theater seemed like a NUICe enough place to return. Enjoyed dinner at one of 3 restaurants located just nextdoor of the theater, and heck the beach is practically across the street. How nICe. So if you wanna head to the beach before or after your movie- bring your swimming atire. ALL thIS will enlighten a fun filled day for you!

Our most recent visit was during opening weekend of the biggest movie in history, by box office earnings, but it was obvious that the theater was understaffed and/or poorly managed.The concessions stand routinely has very long wait times for basic popcorn and drink orders. It was especially bad during this big weekend, when one would expect extra staff and a streamlined process for filling orders.There were several problem patrons in the theater who made it impossible to enjoy the film, and when I went to find a manager, he just wanted to know if someone was drunk--as if that were the threshold of a disturbance worthy of acting on a complaint. We considered leaving and demanding a refund, but simply telling one of the obnoxious groups that management was coming made them leave first.I was vaguely aware about an hour later that he had eventually made his way into our theater to look around.The bathroom reeked of urine and was strewn with trash.Two stars because we think the seats are pretty comfortable with enough room that the person next to me texting through the entire movie was something that I was eventually able to block out of my consciousness.

Solid theater. Always clean and well-kept. Parking can kinda suck when it’s a busy evening, but the parking structure by the train station is best.

I only had one chance to see “They shall not grow old” due to the limited two days of showing. Waited 30 minutes after the movie was supposed to start to finally hear “we’re having technical difficulties” and waited 20 more minutes for it finally start. When they finally did they started it several minutes into the film...

Did not like this place at all. They made us wait outside in the cold, they also argued with me about going to the bathroom. I was 35 weeks pregnant...

The movie experience was partly ruined by the terrible experience with the staff. Some kid names Ross at the concession stand took 25 minutes to serve 3 different orders, I worked at a movie theater as a teen and I dont remember anyone being this futile and slow while keeping their job. He couldnt take a complete order without walking away from the stand. My family almost missed the beginning of our movie while waiting on food. Theatre room 6 was a bit sticky but its expected for such a big movie season so thats not a major issue.

Takes too long just for popcorn, and last time I was there all of the registers stopped working for debit cards. Even tho I just paid with my card to get my tix. Asked to speak to a manager he said he couldnt help me with out having cash,I asked if he could ring up my snake order at the ticket window and directed me and my 3yo outside to an atm. No discounts were offered, even when I asked.i spent 20mins in line,before he sent me out side, at 1:15 and my movie started at 1:20 plus everyone un line was upset ay me and my kid thinking we just cut them. Most them didnt even know the machines were down. I work in customer service, I would have expected more from a manager espically if the customer is trying to drag along a feisty 3yr old kid that is absolutely not going to stand still in line again. I had $8 cash and the snacks were $14 and some change. Just disappointing.

Tried to order a beer at concession. Understandably the cashier couldnt ring me out because he was too young. He contacted the manager and flat out was ignored, heard it from the manager umm, kind of have alot going on right now.There were multiple employees over the age of 21 that could have assisted.The manager looked pretty not busy to me, the customer, who was willing to pay almost $10 for a beer.Im not sure how the staff is trained here, but it is obviously not with a customer centered approach.Terrible service, still no beer.Time was 6:30 pm on Sunday July 28.

Where to begin? Usually dirty, no parking, and the movies never start on time, it usually takes someone finding an unenthusiastic employee to try and start the movie. Its nice that it is located in downtown Oceanside, but if you can go somewhere else, i would.

A good hangout spot. A few crazies always in front of it. At least you cannot hear the posers setting off car alarms with their cars from inside. Pricey like any theatre. Seats are comfy and floors well maintained.

They were very accommodating with my three year old son!! Will definitely return!!

Great place to watch a movie

This is an all right place to see a movie. The staff is helpful and nice but the chairs are cramped and uncomfortable.

Parking is hard to find. Most spots only 2 hours. Theater is neat and clean

Parking is definitely not easy for someone new in town (most of the street parking is 2 hr limit) Snack bar is decent and includes beer/wine. Theater is old and worn but clean.

My wife and I saw a good film there. I wish since the 2 theaters in San Jacinto and Hemet are owned by the same people couldnt there be a wider selection of films available. Both pretty much show the same pictures. A wider selection would be appreciated.

Well, you saw me again soon. You still have that dreadful reserved seat setup -- this in a house of theaters that never sell out. Only a dozen or so patrons in an auditorium that seats hundreds -- and you send someone around to check to see that everyone is in their assigned seats! What a waste! Please listen to your patrons and do away with this terribly bad idea of a policy! Theres no need for it!Problems experienced this visit: All drinking fountains are still out of order -- after months of being so. Work lights were left on in the theater even after the show started -- I had to go out and complain to have them turned off. Do the boys who clean the theater after the show check to see that the work lights have been turned off? Apparently not.Its always sad to see a good thing die. I have many pleasant memories of the glory days of the Regal Oceanside, but those days appear to be over and the theater appears to be dying. Please bring it back to life, and start by doing away with those confounded reserved seats!

Not horrible. Not great. But it works and I have had a good experience both times Ive gone. Its dirty and old but the screens are good and the sound is decent. Staff is nice. They do check purses but I assume they are checking to make sure youre not bringing in food.
