Sneaky good track!! I love the place. Pace of play is fast. So why 4 stars instead of 5? No cash is a start. It is time to be safe, but no cash? At least tell me this on the phone before I drive all the way there!

We live on the course, love to watch how they stager the player and work very hard to keep it in shape. I can see them at 5am mowing trimming and blowing out the area. Great job with irrigation

They book tee times 5 minutes apart so good luck if you get stuck behind slow residents. And in the middle of a pandemic, they want to charge $10 extra for a single rider. Ill pay the same amount at a much nicer course so Ive played my last round at Royal Risk Your Life Oaks.

My friends and I have played this course around a dozen times this year but we will never go back. They now charge $10 if you do not want to share a cart. They have signs on the pro-shop door requesting masks to be worn and only two people at a time, but its okay to sit next to someone you dont live with for four hours? The staff was apologetic and nice but stated the rule came from management. The course is average and is starting to go downhill, certainly not worth the $50 it cost to play at 2pm.

The course has a beautiful and challenging layout. The only reason it is rated 4 is that several greens were a bit spotty. Either need overseeing or a little more springtime weather to correct this. They are sweet green surfaces with fun contours to putt on.

I use to work at oak run as a kid. Those were very memorable days doing dishes. I recently got to visit again and see the beautiful new addition. What a nice place to hold a wedding. .

I enjoy the golf course and the fact that it is close to my home. It is frustrating that depending on who is at the club house determines when you can or cannot get tee times. I frequent this golf course at least once if not 2-3 times a week. I work a regular job so I try to get off a little early for 9 holes before going home. Several times I have shown up at 425-430 and I’m on the course and back in my car within an hour to an hour and 10 minutes. Other times I show up at 418-420 and am told it’s too late to play. I’m strongly considering visiting the next closest course out of convenience and consistency. Nothing more depressing than looking forward to a quick round and being told no.

A great place for a meal. The staff is very courteous and attentive to their guests and can offer excellent pairings of wines and other beverages to go with your meal. If you get near the windows/doors, youll get a view of the Golf Course as well.

Super rude.....Harassing you on the course .....Unreal, never been to a place that was constantly bugging you to hurry up when you are actually ahead of schedule . Just unreal.And the comments.... WoW......Never will return here!!!!

The food is good. Just wish the servers were more friendly. Like hello good morning how are we today. Or goodbye hope to see you again. I heard some clients saying goodbye girls and nobody answered. What a shame.

Ok dear, please clean your patio windows. Old, needs significant updating and needs a nice nice happy hour bar. Follow the trend of the Club at Candler Hills. 3 stars for the folks that work there, always nice and prompt.

They really made it look beautiful it feels like a resort.

We had lunch in The Royal Oaks Dining Room with friends of ours who are residents of Oak Run.The building, grounds and dining room are aesthetically pleasingOur server, Ashtin gave good service...meals were delivered correctly, temperature hot and within a timely manner.Tom had a Bistro Burger and fries that he said was very good. I had a cup of delicious seafood bisque and an Asian Chicken Salad with that very tasty Asian Sesame Vinaigrette dressing.My only complaint was some of the lettuce in my salad was black and way past its prime. I did pick it out but it shouldnt have been there at all.

Course has been in great condition since September. Best the greens I have seen in twenty years. Got some pace to them for the first time.

Nice staff and course appears to be in good condition and taken care of. Had to stop after front nine due to taking around 3 hours because of the speed of play. Course appears to be over booked. There were 2 groups sitting on the first tee waiting when it was our tee time. Drove over 1.5 hours to go there and play and wont go back because they wouldnt give us a rain check due to slow play in front of us.

Very reasonable green fees. Course in great shape. Course lay out very challenging yet fun. Plan on playing their again.

This is rapidly becoming one of our favorite courses! Its in decent shape, couple of the t-boxes could do with some work and a couple of the greens. We like it because there are plenty of trees for shade during the summer. Challenging course without being overly difficult.

I did not play, but my son and grandson played several area courses when they were here in April. They said the best course was Royal Oaks. The grounds, and the people running it.

To bad members only in the restaurant. Community very nice people very friendly. If your looking for a home in a 55 plus community check it out its worth your time. Only bad thing is you must be a member to eat at the restaurant. Try there crab Benedict if you can get in very good

Played a few time. Decent course for the price we paid. Condition was 6 out of 10. Not being able to get a drink after round kind of stinks. I know its a community setting, but maybe think about some type of visitors bar???Where I live if you play the course the bar is ALWAYS OPEN !!!!

Course is wellmaintened, staff was ready at all venues to go above and beyond to make my visit a very pleasant one!

I’ve been playing at this course regularly for over a year but my recent experience was so unpleasant that I am no longer going back. Their grass, especially fairways and greens, is so poorly maintained that numerous ball marks are left never repaired throughout the course. The green, in particular, has some easily visible spots with weeds. Awful. Most importantly, the ranger would yell at you for not keeping in pace. I was given a warning on the 14th hole as I was playing for my third hour that involved exaggerations and threats — that I was backing up everyone else on the course. Later I was suddenly yelled at as I was wrapping up the 16th hole after having played for 3.5 hours. He approached my playmates and rudely screamed and demanded that we play quicker. He said the teams behind mine were all backed up and just waiting to play for the hole but when I looked back the team right behind me had just got on green on the hole right before. Quite discomforting and appalling. Beware.

Its a wonderful place its a little noisy cuz its a club for the Oak Run neighborhood in Dunnellon Florida. But thats good services and its great food.

From the time we crossed paths with the not friendly name taker at the gate It was all down hill.1st, I was told I could not play because my wife had denim shorts on but also a golf shirt from Superstition mountin golf course in Az.2nd, they was told the driving range was 2 miles from the pro shop.3rd, there was a 15 $ rider charge, non of wich was noted on golf now.I think cause I am a vet with a beard and long hair I did not fit their eye. Got the old snake eye when we walked in the shop.Decided to cancell and find a more friendly place to play.Dave at golf now set us up at Ocala country club, and had a great time, and good round, with friendly people.The day was not a loss.So if you are a vet with long hair and a beard Royal Oaks may not be the place, for a friendly round.....
