William our server was Fantastic! Came here for my birthday with my two sisters. Had the pot stickers as a starter, delicious. I had the bourbon burger, one sister had pepperoni pizza, and the other had artichoke and arugula pizza. Everything was delicious, and our server even sang Happy Birthday! Thank you for making me feel special.

Got there checked in, they took our number down so we didnt have to wait inside. Very friendly staff, meets cleaning standard plexiglass separates every two lanes but only allowed to have one group for every two lanes up to 8 players. Tables are marked every other table for safety. They have staff cleaning machines at the arcade side. Would have been 5 stars but food staff took a little long to take our order and they handed me someone elses order when we got transferred to our bowling lane. Other than that fun. Velcro shoes for women and men.

The bowling staff was amazing. The bowling experience was really well set up. The spacers are probably a good permanent thing. It minimized the sound of the drunk guys next to us. I would give this 5 stars but my food was prepared poorly. I ordered a classic burger medium well and the burger was pretty much rare with a light sear on the edges. I was so caught up in my bowling experience that I didnt notice until I was half way done and I took a very chewy bite. Bowling A+ Food C-

Plenty of outdoor dining which is nice and they have the heat lamp for the cool evenings. The inside has not reopened yet but it looks like theyre preparing to do so I seen some plastic up at the bowling lanes. I would have given it five stars but the service was a little bit slow. Overall it was good though.

The best thing about this place is that its on the water front. Everything else about this place is a straight 3 star. The food, the beer and especially the service. This isnt just a Covid thing either, ever since this place opened its been mediocre at best. The location and outside dining would make you think it was a decent spot, but unfortunately it just isnt.

Had a great time bowling, the food was great, definitely recommend the tacos, friendly service. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

Save 2 hours of your life! Food was good and busboy was nice. Getting a seat was fast. Here is the bad.1. Took 30 minutes for someone to take our order.2. Wrong drinks. When fixed it was made wrong. 30 minutes.3. Food was wrong order.4. Took 45 minutes to get the check. Asked 3 serves and asked our own server twice.5. Neighboring diners started yelling asking if anyone works here and the other walked off. Glad they did because it was then and only then a manager showed up. We took the opportunity to finally ask for our check and actually get it.

Ordered our beer! Ready to order food! waited! waited! Waited! finish our beer! Waited! 4 other tables with people! 3 servers. Waited! Walk up to the bar, wanted to pay the bill! Bartender- you have to wait for your server! Omg!! Ended up at forge restaurant just a few feet away! Thanks Forge!!!!

Sat outside on Saturday at Noon. Lots of trees for shade on a warm day. But indoor seating is also available near the bowling lanes. There’s even an outdoor playground for the kids.Looked at the menus. There are tons of outdoor seating to enjoy the nice Oakland weather next to the bay here at Jack London Square. The tables are spread out if you want to be private and some are grouped together if you have a desire for big crowds.After a few minutes a nice person came and patiently took our orders. Not an expert on beer so didn’t know which beer was an Amber. But that’s what friends are for, right?Bocce ball courts outside for fun. Play a few games with your friends.Food is a mix of healthy options like salads or Brussels sprouts, pizza, Mexican, ribs, fish and chips, stroganoff, burgers, and sandwiches.

A very fun place to hang with family and friends! The food is good and games are even better but dont be caught here from 9pm on with your children. They have contractor security guards aka flashlight cops aka top-flight security guards that will tell you that you need to leave. But not only that. They will try and tell you that they need to see everyones ID like if they are the police. So go early and leave early.

Although it was not very busy we could not get any of the several bartenders to take our order for a drink. Not going to beg anyone to take my money so we left. Sad, because it looks like a fun place.

I actually didnt come here for the bowling; partner and I stopped in to the arcade and enjoyed a bit of time playing skee ball, air hockey and some virtual reality arcade ride. It was a fun selection of old and new games and a nice place to pop into after dinner as we walked along Jack London square.

The plank was great oh, there were four of us ate there and we all came away with the same feeling that this was a very good place to eat. We have the Bourbon Street Burger that was great. One of the parties had the brussel sprout salad said that was the right choice and the waiter Steven was a good waiter. We only come to Oakland once a year but the next time that we come there we will definitely eat at the plank.

I cannot give a rating on the food because after waiting for 20+ minutes no one even checked on us to begin service. I got up and went to ask 2 different servers for assistance and still no one came to our table. Everyone else around us received service. Very disappointed to say the least.

Hit Or Miss, mostly when it comes to the service. Last time here the service was really pretty bad and slow. Yes, I was here with a large group. Its to bad the service was bad last time I was here, makes me wander if I should ever go back.

The beer was good, wings are ok, we got the habanero sauce and they were not spicy at all...disappointed. Pizza is decent but not delicious. Not very satisfied with server customer service.

I went here last night but wasnt drinking. My friends were. I loved the atmosphere, people watching & vibes. A real classic SF spot. Music was a tad too loud, but I guess thats to be expected.

We decided to celebrate a birthday here. We all had so much fun. We started out with bowling since there was lanes avaliable. After we started bowling, they came and took our food and drink order. We played and snacked on some really good fried shrimp and fries, sliders and chicken wings. After that we moved in to the pool table upstairs. More food and drink as they kept our tab open. The group split up to play some basketball and air hockey in the arcade. Youll need to get a card and load it with money for all the arcade games. I suggest starting with at least $20 to get more game credits. I ended up leading $30, but several of us in the group was loading up to play games. We never made it to the outside activities.They have spaces for private parties which well need to consider next time. Our group of 12 had a great time n we ended up staying for almost 5 hrs.

I like this place where everyone from every age can enjoy playing games. I spend my time playing Bowling inside and Bocce Ball outside.

Fun place to go. However, the bowling shoes just dont fit. I would much rather have the option of wearing my tennis shoes. Also, they could use a variety of bowling balls with different weight.

Hmm.....it does have a cool local vibe, thats why 2 and not 1 star. Not enough staff (waited a REALLY long time with several others for a beer, only 1 bartender), the games are not maintained. Ski ball didnt work, beer pong didnt register hits, air hockey was not smooth....they really need to fix up their gear, I mean, if youre drunk, its still fun, but not as fun as a real, functioning arcade.

Expensive but fun. A lot going on in the outside patio area almost all parking nearby is paid. Good for a date, for a family I would look someplace more affordable.

We went for a group event in the backroom. The food, drinks and staff were superb. The backroom bowling lanes are different than regular bowling lanes. The pins are on guide wires instead of the traditional pin system. The lanes you walk on feel a little short but it shouldnt bother anyone unless you need a standard bowling lane. We would definitely go back many times if we could. I cant say enough about the professionalism of the staff and their service. A++

Fun place to go with a group as they have bowling, bocce ball, and arcade games. The appetizers are good, and the beer selection is substantial. Tap beers can be up to $10 though so keep that in mind if you’re on a budget!

Plank is a fun venue with very good food, but it gets a couple of dings for slow service (after messing up our order) and the fact that our table was drenched with water when we arrived. Its also quite loud, but thats not a big deal if you go in prepared for it.

Great place food & fun for the whole family

Food was good. The waitress was spread thin, and running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Very sweet though, but she needed help so we could get our drinks and food. Enjoyed my burger, thought it was delicious and Id come back for it. I didnt get a chance to walk around for bowling or the arcade portion so I cant talk about that. But I plan on going back to play around.

Is a really fun place not gona lie but the food. Is spensive and for the price i should be getting really good food and kinda suck. But beside thar it eas fun

You might like it, you might not. We stopped by for a beer and a bite, so opted not to brave the caverns inside and went for the beer garden instead- so this doesnt cover the interior of the joint. And, I suspect that if wed gone there to go bowling, Id have to adjust my review somewhat.The garden itself is rather nice. Row-style tables (just grab some available seats) which are exactly the sort of thing a beer garden should have, and plenty of overhead heaters to stave off the evening cold.Unfortunately, our server was completely overbooked. There should have been at least one more person for his section, from watching the guy run around like a madman trying to take care of everyone. Thankfully the folks next to us were jovial, as from what I gathered there had been several problems, including getting the wrong order- and to the servers credit, did everything he could to make things right. But, he saw us right away, and we didnt have to wait too long to get our drinks. I suspect we got lucky since we were on the fringe of the seating area, and the folks next to us needed a little more attention.Food-wise, She had the Barbacoa fries, and I opted for the cheese steak. The meat on the fries was pretty good, but the cheese steak was pretty...well, it shouldnt have been on the menu. In both cases, the fries were pretty generic food service fare, and not worth eating on their own. Decent beer selection tho.

We keep getting shafted by this place everytime we come here. The staff is nice, the place is awesome, but I would suggest calling before showing up. Everytime we show up, there has always been a private event going on, so we cant bowl, or stay inside. This time it was the Oakland As that had the place rented. The time before it was a wedding party.

Expensive, weak dark beer selection. OK food, not good for the money. So loud inside you have to eat outside. Poor attention to detail although staff is friendly. Shame. Seems like it could be really good.

Really fun place and after 9 is 21 and up only great place for double dates. Is kinda expensive though food and drink wise. The mixed drinks are good though so the bar tenders know what there doing.

Well it started out amazing. Bar Tender was awesome, got my food fast and a nice drink. We started with Blood Orange Wings and Plank Fries and my family took them down quick. Then I ordered more, plus some water for my kids who were playing in the play area outside. After asking 3 times, still no water and the pizza came out cold.

Had a great time at this place. Lots to do. Only downside was the server didnt come around to clean our area after the last group of people left. Drinks took a long time.

Went there on a Sunday and the service was terrible. They were unstaffed n there system crashed. Some of the bartenders lacked customer service. By the time our food got to us, it was cold(the serve didnt know which table it belonged too so she was just walking around asking the customer until I called her) Maybe I just went on a wrong day.

Service was ok. Although it was not busy we had to look for our server in order to pay our bill. Not sure about the food as I did not try any. Beer that I ordered was not that great so I didn’t even drink 1/4 of it. Even my friends tried it and agreed. Perhaps next time I’d have better luck.

This is my absolute favorite place. Especially when my friends comein from out of town and they want to be entertained. Plus you can take a nice walk to the water and look at the scenery. Its beautiful

It was really busy but what do you expect on a Saturday. Everything was a great price the food drinks and games. I belive for shose and to blow was 10 or 14 dollers cant beat that . you can also buy socks here for 2 dollers. Will definitely be back

Great place except the bar staff actually sucks. Like really bad. Prefer the same drink twice and they were completely different both times. Also the bartender didnt close me out for 10 min. I just sat there and asked again and again. Also the food looks pretty marginal.

Enjoyed myself bowling but the customer service with one of the staff turned me off but another staff was this young lady who helped assist us better. The overall experience was good. They need to hire ppl that actually wants to work there and not have an attitude like that male staff did.

Fun place for an evening out. Food is all decent pub type food, on the high side for cost in this area. Lots of games for the kids,$25 bucks bought about an hours worth of games. Bowling and Bocce available at a premium. After 9pm it is 21 and over so time your trip accordingly. Service is fine, nothing to write home about.

Good Times!! Bowling, Arcade, and Awesome Beer Garden with tons of rotating drafts; super fun atmosphere.. It can get pretty busy especially during big sporting events.. so sometimes patience is necessary. But overall great place to hangout, play games, watch Sports and grab some great grub!!
