This is the hidden gem on East Pond. It is an old fishing camp that has progressed with the times and now offers rustic lakeside accomodations with a full meal plan that cannot be beat. They cater to their guests but also offer dinner service on an as available, by reservation only, basis. One of the highlights of each week is the Lobster Feed served outside the refurbished barn. This is also a reservation only meal so call ahead to check availability. It includes; a Lobster, Steamers, Mussels, boiled Onions & Potatoes, Coleslaw, Rolls, Blueberry Cake and Watermelon. Alcohol is BYOB which is great. We like going down by boat and pulling up on the beach for the short walk up the hill for a meal you wont forget.

Been coming to Alden for five years (without the kids). This year we took the kids (and our dog). The more the merrier. Love this place. All of the cabins are on the water. All of the meals are (great) restaurant quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. You get your own motor boat, located on the dock in front of your cabin. Fishing is great. You can hear - and see loons every day. There is an active bald eagle nest on the lake. Great biking (wide shoulders - paved in 2014). Amazing view of sunsets and thunderstorms from the screened in porch. If all of this doesnt sound good to you - stay away (please)!

Carter and Martha who own and run the Camp are as good as they come. Their kindness, customer service, attention to detail are top notch!!!! The Camp was founded in 1911, it is rustic and cozy. The camp staff members are extremely kind and always willing to assist.

Im biased because Ive been going for over 30 years, but Aldens is a delight. Low-key rustic lakeside relaxation, with great food and great fun always. Opportunities to swim, boat, water-ski, play games, or just chill in the hammock. Area is great for cycling or hiking as well.

My husband and many friends have been going to this camp for at least 15 years and I believe its been longer than that. It is awesome you pay one price and your breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacks are included. There meals delicious. Your have your own cabin and have fire places or wood burning stoves. Bathrooms of course. . And depending on how big your party is, is the size of your cabin on the water. With a dock. And if your have your own boat no problem put it on your dock for your vacation. No boat, rent one from them. Great price per day or week. They have their own beach and they do banana boat rides and theres floating sun deck. Basketball court. Just great .great place for familys. Ill find out what the pricing is and will up date my review. 2 thumps up
