Great layout for drinks/and shows. General admission you have to stand. If its a show youre not all that into its a good situation for going back and forth from show area and bar. I cant stand that long so I thought seated tickets were worth it. If youre a smoker, they have a smokers area so you dont have to leave the venue, and you can bring your drink! Parking is limited and expensive. Id definitely go again and would recommend it.

This is a beautiful club and I have to say that unlike a lot of other clubs in the area their staff is super friendly and welcomes everybody with open arms. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a VIP section because this club gets busy quick

I I LOVE THE UPTOWN!!!My old band, Lipstick Conspiracy played there years ago!Its a smaller, more intimate club. Where you can get up close to your favorite bands/performers. Awesome stage setup where bands can get on and off stage super fast!Chill bartenders, happy to chat while hooking you up.I was sad to hear rumours that they were closing, but it looks that may not be true?If you get a chance to see a favorite of yours there, by all means check it out!

This is a great spot to check out a show. The review for me would highly depend on the talent there on a particular night. Overall a decent, intimate spot to check out a show.

Came all the way from manteca on my birthday to enjoy the comedy show as well as have a drink...The bartender was extremely rude to us...the moment I asked what drink would she recommend Thats fruity and strong...she was not helpful and embaressed us in front of a crowd...we left never returning again...

If you would like to experience absolutely outstanding staff, chill locals, be a part of Oaklands history and have grown tired of boring run of the mill places, this is a must visit venue.Its a dive bar with class. Simply awesome local music performers and owners who ensure all patrons are taken care of.I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends as these venues are extremely hard to find these days A+++++.

So glad this place reopened. One of the best venues for live shows. And the front bar room is GORGEOUS.

Went for the weekly free comedy show. The comedians were pretty funny. The bar itself seems nice. Drinks were an average price.

Great looking bar but the place was dead when we went. Happy Hour was nice.

Have seen a few memorable shows at The Uptown. Service has always been fine and its nice that there is a space in the back for smokers so their not all out on the curb.

Their kind and considerate staff were knowledgeable about upcoming events and let me and a photographer interview fans watching an NBA playoff game at short notice.

Fun DJ and chill vibe the night I was in here. Good pit stop after dinner.

Stand up comedy on Wednesdays around 7:30. They were funny and it was free plus there is booze. Whats not to like?
