The history section of this park was very informative, everything about the Manhattan Project. We walked around the park and most of the trails were paved. There was plenty of places to sit. Most of the trails are in the sun so they would be hot in the summer. The Peace bell was cool and of course I had to ring it. The library is along the park so that would be great for locals.

I liked that there were many intersections in the walking path to help ppl avoid passing each other. It was fun ringing the International Friendship Bell and playing on the parallel bars next to the walking path. I enjoyed looking at the several different kinds of trees in the park, too!

The fountain and all the flowers around it is nice. Great place to go walk

Nice place to walk, kids enjoy ringing the bell and playing in the creek.For long time residence who have heard the rumors about the creeks and murcury #1 all of that was down stream closer to the labs, and #2 there have been ecological studies and there is nothing wrong at the park.

I walk my dog here sometimes. Its a nice park. Sometimes I ring the friendship bell, which is a pretty awesome experience. Theres sometimes live music events here, which are always fun. Theyve recently installed lighting so you can go there at night.

Always a nice day in the shady coverage of the playground. Tucked in right behind the Civic center and library is this quaint little playground. My son loves the roller ramp. If you dont know, better ask someone.

Newly placed Peace Bell now in a pavilion. Not quite finished but plans show a Japanese garden and lots of plantings around this 3D printed site.

So if you are in the Oak Ridge TN area and looking for some place to let children play in a safe and fun area. A K Bissell Park is a great place. The park is beside the Local Library and Rec Center, large playground for younger kids. Basketball court inside for all ages as well as pool tables that are located in the rec center as well as a indoor swimming pool (a small fee for non local residents for the swimming pool only). Very nice walking track that also historical information about how Oak Ridge was known as the Secret City.

They had a movie night at the park, they had free popcorn and drinks for everyone. It was great! So nice that they provided a place for families to be together that didnt cost anything. Very enjoyable

The park is nice. My son loves the playground and the Friendship Bell is cool.

Nice walking path stream full of fish

I spend a lot of my time here, place is a nice hang out. And, its got a good amount of shade to where, when its hot, its not unbearable. Nice place to walk/ jog too

The park is a great place to just hang out and walk around. Its even great for those who play Pokemon Go. Theres 4 pokemom gyms and around 12 pokemon pokestops. Definitely worth going. Even if just to walk.

It is a nice place to walk my dog most people are very pleasant and it usually not very crowded

Nice plesent park

This is always a nice, well kept park. My wife and I love coming here when it is nice out and spending the afternoon. Plus it is right outside of the library so you can always go get a book then sit outside and read.

Pretty park, with nice amount of room to play catch, take a walk, or sit underneath of a tree in the shade.A bit difficult to make your way down to the park, if you have a cane, a wheelchair, or any walking or mobility limitation.Better handicap access is needed.I struggled to get down the hill from the parking area, to the park below.Otherwise, the park is family friendly and pleasant.

This is a great park right in the center of town. You can walk quite a distance on their paths they have marked out. Right in the center is the Civic Center and the library. Dont forget to visit the Veterans Memorial and the peace Bell.

Nice outside walking tracks. Mostly pea gravel. Only nuisance is the geese who use the area for bathrooms. St next to Oakridge Library and newly built senior center

Great walking trails and playground for the kids. Nice large trees and plenty of benches.

They have a great 4th of July event. Orchestra is amazing. We love this park weekly!

Went to the Little River Band concert which was FABULOUS! The park was a great venue for concerts since there was plenty of room. The terrain is level which makes it easier to place a lawn chair. No bad seat in the house. Thanks to the folks who put together the Secret City festival. Good job.

Super cool Japanese bell to gong there. Its a peace bell for the bombing of Hiroshima. Its something we had to do they attacked us first.

Nice city park It has streams and paved walk ways. The best feature is the Friendship Bell. Nearly every one stops to ring the bell.

Learned from internet of the July 4th live music and fireworks held at the park. Was truelly beautiful and above expectations.

A beautiful and serene space for picnics or chill time alone.

Terrific place to walk the dogs. Nice tracks, well maintained. The Friendship Bell is inspiring.

This is a nice place to go for a walk, sit on a bench and read, or spread a blanket for a picnic. There are waterfountains, a playground, and two interesting memorials... The park has been plagued by two major construction projects for the past two years, making for a noisy experience, and disrupting walkers. The bridge between the two halves of that figure 8 on the west side is a tragedy waiting to happened. The park could use more benches and more shade along the walkway, which get very hot in summer. It would also be nice if there was easier pedestrian access to the Dunkin Doughnut and Starbucks, both nearby, but hard to access from the park.

Home to the friggin friendship bell. Yes thats right. The one. The only. The friendship bell.Also has a band shell for concerts and stuff.And some walking paths.And that is pretty much it.

Beautiful peaceful place to do some jogging, walking or just hanging out with friends and family. Conveniently located in the middle of oak ridge so its a short commute no matter where you live in Oak Ridge.
