It was fantastic to see good friendsAnd a place where kids can hang
Big playground for a variety of ages. Sandpit, slides, and of course, trains you drive (but they are only open a few hours per week, in season). The park district has information on the opening hours. Good place to use up some energy, and it is right next to a pool, conservatory, and a fire station!
This park has a lot to offer when it comes to playground areas. There are three divided sections plus a sand area section. There is a fence along the East Ave. side but with no gate to close. The playgrounds and the gate have some distance so if you have a runner you will have space and time to stop them. One major distinction is the minitaure train tracks surround one section acting as a central border. There are these special carts for kids to ride on. They require the child to turn a crank in order to go. Its pretty neat but requires a bit of strength and coordination. Otherwise it will be like train cart bumper cars. The train carts are not always available because a park district staff member is required to open and run the thing. The playground is well shaded. There are no public bathroom and no splash pad. Drinking fountain is there and a few picnic tables too. Super close to fire station and the conservatory.
Starting to get a bit dirty and run down
Well maintained, with plenty of things to keep children engaged.
I live upper south side, since I lived in oak Park a number of years I chose to bring my great grandma children to the parks there. There is nothing to compare with the value of the parks and environment of the best .
This is a great park with something for everyone. A great sand play area, 3 playgrounds, swings, and even a train that runs in spring, summer, and fall during certain times. There is a walking path and some court areas as well as plenty of grass to run around. My 2 and 4 year old love this park.
Great park for kids, from the playground and sand play area to the child sized rideable train. Shaded places for adults to sit and supervise children playing.
I have loved Rehm Park since we lived across the street from it when I was a kid in the 70s. The park looks generally the same it did back in the day. It has been upgraded and lots of new equipment. Its well maintained and very clean. If you get the chance to visit and spend some time here take advantage of it and have a relaxing moment or two.
Best swimming pool in town (Olympic sized) volleyball courts, a new soccer field, and also some interesting popular play equipment including the child propelled train cars (limited hours on the train as the train is supervised bt Park district staff).
Great family park with equipment for all ages, check the website for the operation hours of the really neat free handcart train track that the kids will absolutely love.
I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, the music, and the owners and employees are lovely.
Its a nice park kind of hard to see from expressway very clean and lots to do for all especially like the pool area I do recommend
Great playground. Train in the summer. Field to run around on, and a Gaga ball pit. Fun!
Large park with 3 different sections for different sized kids
I would have rated this a 5 because its a great park, BUT the reason Im not is because there are no bathrooms, besides the ones in the pool area, which you cant access unless you are in the pool. There are porta potties, but they were really dirty when I visited.
I grew up across the street, so I loved it. After it was redone (like all parks to be safe) it lost its greatness. 3 stars because they still have the trains.
Peace and quiet is what you are looking for this is the park..
I like the atmosphere over the park seen a snake by the water that was pretty cool
3 different levels of play from the infant/toddler, through early childhood and the bigger kids.
A nice park for toddlers. There is also a field just west of the park for whatever your needs. Mature trees provide a little shade when you need it. Maybe six or more play stations are sprawled about and the park has a little train track available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The kids can push themselves about in individual train cars connected to the track. Its a joy to warch.
Playground, tennis court, field, swimming pool, and occasionally a train the kids can ride. Fun!
Super fun, old school style park with plenty of room for running around
While i was there it was a very fun time but i foumd one lifeguarf specifacly rude. She works by the slides and rockwall in the pool and isnt polite at all please check this out.
Nice park . Wish they had more hours for the train.
One of the most popular summer parks for small kids in Oak Park. The reason for this is because the parks department runs hand cranked train cars in the summer. These are vintage train cars powered by each kids. The track is rather short but that keeps the line moving quickly. The park also has three playgrounds. The tot park is very nice with a large sand area and many structures and play equipment. The medium playground is in the center surrounded by the train track and is nice for kids 5yrs and up. The third playground is on the north side and is great for the bigger kids and has swings as well. Two sand volleyball courts and a sports field is on-site as well. The Rehm pool is adjacent. Come early or late in the day and you may have the place to your self but early afternoon can get crowded sometimes.
Good for kids to oPlay.
2 separate play areas was really nice. Equipment looked really new and it looks like they have train rides In the summer. Great place for kids of all ages...Had a water park as well

Great park, lots of options from toddler to older kids, lots of shaded areas from the heat and also every bench has a good vantage point throughout the park, so you can always spot your child from almost any point.
Lots of activities
Great park anytime of the year
The place is nice the bad thing here no restrooms.
A lovely neighborhood park with walking paths, playground and a swimming pool.
Great park! Pulleys and sand play! Kid-powered train rides around the track during spring and summer!
Nice place for a picnic. We played frisbee for an hour on the field . Great. Day!
Fun equipment. Lots of space. Usually clean.
Wonderful place to go with family and frienda, wide field for running swings and slides and the Conservatory is across the street.
Great pool! Limited parking.
I love this park. Its huge, there are 3 distinct play areas and plenty of shade. And of course there are trains on the weekends. (Its also got like 4 PokeStops). I only wish it had more of a division between the little kids are and the big kids area so my 2-yo would stop heading straight for the 10-ft-death-structure**this is an exaggeration. Its only, like, 8 feet. And he probably wouldnt die.
Great little park with something for everyone.
Very clean Park, friendly people kids love it!
Great pool, playground, spacious fields, nice trees, three tennis courts, and fun activities for kids during the summer.
A big park! If you want to do activities with the little ones and the young ones, you need to visit this park!
