I usually keep this to myself but this was a terrible experience for a game that is supposed to be enjoyable. After a par 4 hole that had a blind drive to start and the green nestled to the left (also a blind shot) the ranger comes up to us. He starts yelling at us to hurry our pace. Now I get it, we played that hole slowly, but this Napoleon complex old man with glasses thought he had the right to belittle us because he wore the blue ranger colors. He was arrogant, rude and seemed as if he wanted to pick a fight. It’s not difficult to ask politely to move at a quicker pace.If you want a fun relaxing round of golf, go to another public course.Reference Price:$76 for a non resident. You can find a more enjoyable course for that price. I promise you.

Played Easter Sunday. Got there half hour earlier than our 12:10 golfnow hot deal time. No problem. The starter let us out early since it wasnt too crowded. A good start. Pro shop and bag drop worker were very friendly and helpful. Another positive. The course itself is well laid out requiring thought on every tee. This isnt a grip it and rip it layout. The GPS on carts are definitely helpful and a nice touch. This will help the players like us that play here very infrequently (because were from NYC, not because we dont like the course). The conditions were very good for this time of year, especially since there was a lot of rain the last few days. This meant cart path only, but even though thats an inconvenience, true golfers should appreciate the fact that 1) the course management is trying to preserve the fairways and 2) trying to keep players safe since the course is quite hilly (especially the front 9). Whats the alternative? Let carts tear up wet fairways and then complain about the poor conditions later? Plus, theres nothing wrong with walking if cart path only bothers you so much. Restaurant is open. Theres a halfway house with food, drinks and toilets. Course is very close to 5 stars but poor cart paths and lack of a fourth set of tees kinda hurt it. I play from the back tees but my wife plays the forward tees, which would be better if theyd been about 400 yards shorter. Just a thought. Took us 52 minutes to get to from Queens, N.Y.Would recommend and return.

2 things: 1) Very SLOW round. Front9 has lots of short par 4s that make the front a 2.5-3 hour 9. 2) pro shop is not flexible at all. If you’re a walk-up, don’t expect them to try to squeeze you in. They will only give you the available tee times. I was there early AM trying to play 9 and they wouldn’t let me jump on the back 9. It’s a shame this is Norwalks only public option.

Easily the worst experience Ive had in awhile. Golf carts monitor how you drive everywhere. No food or drinks at the course. Cartpath only every hole. Watched a group in front of us hit 50 yard drives every hole. Thats not even considering the course has a layout with no common sense. Gives you the feeling a child designed it. What a joke. $40 plus bucks too. Forget it.

Good course, good value, friendly staff. Greens were in excellent shape. Teed off at around 4 and finished just before dark with a threesome. Some holes are tight and some were wide open (7,8,9,11) not terribly long, left the driver in the bag most holes. Good pace on a sunday afternoon. Would happily play again.

Great track for a muni course. Some tight fairways and good variation with uphill finishes and down hill greens.
