Amazing place! The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of rowing. Their learn to row program was extremely helpful. I think this place is certainly worth considering if youre thinking about trying a new sport and losing some weight.

Maritime Rowing Club marks an intersection of experience, discipline, and talent in a culture that has created many national champions and multiple Olympic athletes. Yans club has blossomed from humble beginnings through incredible hard work and dedication that characterizes the overall attitude of those who work and train there alike.Its difficult to discuss my experience without sounding disingenuously positive, because I am unable to think of a single criticism of the program now that the new boathouse is running at full steam. If you join this community - this family - youll have all the tools (tangible and intangible) right at your fingertips to go as far with the sport as you want. The only limiting factor is the amount of work you put in.Personally: I started as a lost middle-schooler. Over the course of five years I was shown (not just TOLD) that I could be fit, then I that I could compete, then that I could be good at rowing, then that I could be a serious competitor, then that I could be a national champion. I could not and still cannot imagine what my life would be like without the time Ive spent with Maritime because of the good it has done for me, both as an athlete and as a person.Youre likely reading this because youre considering getting involved. Whether youre just discovering the rowing world or are already an experienced athlete, my advice is the same: Do it.

Ive rowed for Maritime as a Master for over 15 years. They are great. Their new boathouse is World Class and the coaching is phenomenal. It is a great group of rowers who row in the mornings and then go out for coffee.

It’s been fun. rowers improve by a lot, and club has won multiple national championships. would definitely recommend if you are interested in rowing.
