This place was beautiful, so much to see and do and learn. If you have a kayak, or a paddleboard, or any small non motorized boat this is the place to be, take your family have a picnic on the beach sit back and enjoy the sun. Bring your water for the hike to the beach its a long one but well worth the walk. If you need to use the bathrooms make sire to use them before you walk to boardwalk to the beach. Its 5$ to get in but I only had to pay 4$ maybe because the all access pass for the national parks i had Im not sure and I didnt ask any questions.

This park is very good. $5 per car. I went to here a Friday afternoon, very few people, the beach is quiet and super clean. I love the wooden trial bridge connecting the parking area and the beach, not a long walk and you can enjoy beautiful scene. But it is better you take a cooler with wheels. The water is like soft silk, so pretty. The gift shop is closed and no rent for paddle board these days.

I absolutely love this place! The boardwalk where you can see a lot of wild life from is great and the beach is beautiful. It’s so nice too that there are picnic tables and benches a long the way if you want to stop to eat or rest. Unfortunately when we where there today there was an entire family, women, children and men naked and showering where you rinse off the sand. I feel bad if this is the only place these people can shower ( I can’t think of any other reason) but this is a family park and no one to be subjected to that.

While the beach and facility is beautiful, I couldn’t help but notice the juvenile loggerhead turtle that they have near their gift shop. I’m curious as to what permits they have that allow them to keep a locally threatened (and ENDANGERED in other areas of the world) animal in such a small tank. There is no way that this turtle will continue to have a good quality of life if released back, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s survival rate is drastically reduced because of this. What is the purpose of having this turtle here if they are not injured or sick?

I love this park. Its close to my favorite fishing spot. ( Under the burnt bridge) We saw a sting ray, and daddy swore he saw a crock sticking its head out the water for air. There is a boardwalk where you can see the ocean and a lot of the wildlife. Its great we have places like these where the nature is natural and untouched. Its as real as it gets people. Lol

It is a beautiful, beautiful beach. Right now the tram service isnt running to take you to the beach, and it is a bit of a walk. Especially at 3pm on a sunny day and you are not use to the south Florida heat. Our special needs son was overwhelmed and overheated, after the long walk and we called the rangers and the graciously came to take us back to the car. Everyone was nice and it really is such a gorgeous place.

An awesome state park. The beach feels secluded despite its close proximity to town. You have to cross a fairly long bridge to get over the estuary, but the park has a golf cart shuttle service that can help transport you and your things. Being a state park, there is a nominal entrance fee that is well worth it in my opinion.

This place is heaven, and took my breath away. The water is crystal clear and blue. Its mostly very calm and the sand is soft and white. When I arrived to the boardwalk, which you can take the beautiful 6-7 minute walk yourself or take one of the ongoing golf carts that transport people until 4pm most days, I was greeted by a large green iguana and walking onto the sand I could see medium-sized crabs that blended in with the sand poking their heads out of the holes they made to see if the coast was clear. It costs $4 for entry if youre alone in a car, or $5 if you have 2+ people. This beach is simply perfect and showcases the very best of Florida.

This spectacular park is Palm Beach County’s only state park. It is truly a gem and I had an incredible visit recently. You can plan your visit to kayak to Munyon Island or the estuary, or take a hike on one of the nature trails. Our goal this visit was to go to the 2 mile beach on the ocean. It’s approximately a third of a mile from the beginning of the boardwalk, so if you’re planning to take a lot of beach gear you might want to think twice about it. They do offer a complimentary tram but unless it’s empty, it would not allow you to bring much as it only seats about six people. You can rent a kayak, which is located near the nature center. There is also an aquarium and water tanks that house sea turtles. The gift shop is stocked with snacks as well as drinks. I asked the sales person there how the snorkeling was and she said it was great. You must rent a diving flag for $20 in order to snorkel or scuba dive. The park has many programs which include birding and butterfly walks, moonlight concerts, turtle walks and more. There is a $5 entry fee per car and this is free should you become a member of the park. Ask for a map at the gate.Having returned from Hawaii recently, walking through some of the park’s trails reminded me of Hawaii’s lushness. it’s a peaceful oasis and you can get lost in it just listening to the birds and other animals that reside in the woods there. I’m looking forward to returning soon and possibly becoming a member.

One of the most breathtaking beaches Ive been to. Taking the tram, and then long trek on the boardwalk to the beach makes you feel like youre being transported through the jungle to a far away, private escape. Clear water and hot sand welcome you, as well as baby sea turtle nests. Fairly quiet and a short distance to the water (once you make it to the beach, finally...), so you can set up anywhere. Feels like the edge of the earth when you are on this trip of the island. Beautiful.

We rented Kayaks for a half day and we had the best time! The kayaks are in good shape. If youre renting its first come first serve so you should arrive at the gift shop promptly at 9am or shortly thereafter. If you rent for 4 hours youll get a discount. You must grab a vest first before you go into the gift shop to get your rental. They use the number on the vest to hold your rental, as well as your credit card. They also provide a map of the best route to take. Very professional staff and quick in and out.Be sure to check the weather and tides before attempting to go out. They will not rent out the kayaks if the weather isnt so great. Enjoy!

We went for a quick visit but ended up spending the entire afternoon here. It felt as if we were in our private beach. Not many people around. We had to cross a wooden footbridge before reaching the beach. There is also a tram facility. In the beach, the waves were quite strong enough for us to enjoy thoroughly. It had a clean restrooms, water taps to clean off the sand and overall, a well maintained park. The only problem was they close early and when they close all the restrooms were locked off. So, be prepared and plan for early departure.

I do like this place...BUT...just know it is a decent walk to the beach. When I say decent, its a bit of a hike. If you have a lot of stuff, you may want to bring a beach wagon or cart to haul your chairs, umbrella, etc. It is a beautiful walk through the trees, across a long wooden walkway, across the intercoastal, then through some more trees and either down a trail or across another wooden walkway, then another trek to the water across some VERY hot sand. Flip flops are not your friend here. You will need something more substantial as you will need to scale a small sand hill to get to the water and your flip flops Will get stuck as you sink to your knees down into the sand on the hill. Once you get to the water, the waves are rough. If you get past the waves breaking, there is decent snorkeling. You will definitely need a flag for snorkeling. There are no lifeguards and jet skis will come close to the shore. BE WARE...there are signs warning about crocodiles and asking that you report them if you see them in the swimming area or along the trails. Other than these concerns, it was decent/nice. Enjoy!

DO NOT PAY FOR YEARLY KAYAK RENTAL MEMBERSHIP!I paid for the entire year membership thinking that I could go kayaking. It’s not like that. They only open a few times out of the entire year for kayak rental. Even on a good day they will tell you the weather isn’t permitted. This is a lake. There are no boat come in and out, therefore, there is no wake. It’s shallow and is safe on most days. If there’s a chance of light rain or wind blowing at less than 15 mph, they won’t allow kayak rental on that day. They closed for 3 months due to covid 19, and even now that we are on phase 1, they are still closed it’s ridiculous. I will never purchase membership here again and would give a ZERO STAR if I could.

We saw osprey diving into the water to catch fish and a horseshoe crab. You can walk along a boardwalk to get to the beach or there’s usually someone with a golf cry driving people back and forth. They also have a lot of events there.
