What a local treasure, great for the family! I took my 7 yo son here towards the end of summer and had a blast! The rides were amazing especially because the price is so affordable for such a great park. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that it could use a few more smaller groups of covered seating so that you might have a little more family privacy. The group covered seating is a bit too close to one another and you feel a bit crammed in. Otherwise the place is a great summer activity for the whole family.
Living in SC, you need somewhere to go to cool down besides the sand beach. The water slides are fun, the lazy river is relaxing, they no longer have the tubes in the wave pool anymore. And the water isnt cold anymore. And they have a section for smaller kids/babies too
Nice little water park, fairly good pricing went during Memorial Day weekend and that was quite the mistake, but still made fun of it. If you have kids it’d be great, but older people probably not the best place. Price was $21.99 and locker was $7. One of the slides was closed when we went so that sucked. Can be a pretty good value for the right people.
Everyone had a good time, we enjoyed ourselves on Labor Day. We have been coming for years and it is always fun, not perfect, but pretty close. Deserves a good rating.
Fun place, just wish there was more slides for younger kids. However it was clean and my kids had a great time.
Really fun. Geared more toward younger people. Still stuff to do for adults though. I had fun.
Kids absolutely love it. Its kind of prices but worth it considering the kids have so much fun.
Great time with the Family. The kids really enjoyed it. The food was great and the facility was clean.
Kids really liked it here. Really only 4-5 main big attractions but nevertheless they enjoyed it at a fairly good price. The raincheck insurance was really great even if you miss a few hours. Well worth it the staff and lifeguards are all super nice professionals as well.
Fun spot to take the kids! Best water park in Charleston County!
My husband and I had a great time although we are in our early to late 30s he took me for my birthday. Not too much to do there but we did have a great time and its a little expensive
One of my favorite places to beat the heat in the summer. They have tubing, lazy river, wave pool, and my personal favorite: racing mats. I can literally spend all day on the racing mats. Also they have frozen chocolate covered bananas which are one of my favorites. And the price isnt bad either. Highly recommend.
A must go back kids had a blast I think everyone needs to come and check it out
Awesome water park, bring some sort of shoes, concrete gets scorching hot.
Place was pretty cool but they made us leave early and lost my receit but had my locker recite. One lady said we could look up the card and get it then a guy says no you need ur recite not letting me get a word in.
Very little lines and happy to see its open during these times.
This is my kids and my favorite place to go!! We spend every weekend here during the summer and it keeps us busy and they love it I get sun it’s a win win! Can’t wait for the summer to come backs round not happy about them not selling family passes any longer and having to buy each pass individually that’s a huge bummer exspecially with a family of five
This water park is not just for the little ones, adults can have fun too! Prices are not too high for what you get. Food options are pretty basic burgers fries and such. We were there for a few hours and were able to ride almost everything. The lines werent too bad. We went during the week in midsummer.
Always fun & even better that it has been less packed!
Had a great time! It was a great day at the water park. The one improvement they could make is to put some extra shade or something for walking around the park from slide to slide without burning your feet. Nobody wants to have to keep track of your shoes from place to place. Just a thought. Some of those sails in strategic areas.
The new slide is definitely worth checking out
We had a great experience at Whirling waters. The whole family had a great time. Employees were very nice and very helpful. Only downfall was the lazy river looked dirty and had black stuff on the bottom kind of looked like mold, so we didnt bother getting in due to the dirtiness. Other than that we loved the place and will definitely be back.
Definitely a nice place to go this summer... Needs some upgrades but you can tell they are working on them. The pass is something to consider if you think you will go even just four times. It cost about $22 per adult to get in. kids 48 inches and under get in for free. they have a wave pool, cool slides, and a nice shallow area that is big enough so its not too crowded with shallow slides for toddlers and babies. Definitely plenty of lifeguards on duty and they walk around and are very alert.no outside food or beverages allowed they will make you turn around if you have a cooler. They are open until 6 pm. And there are plenty of shaded areas!
Had a great day. Staff are great!!
This water park is AWESOME! The admission is not that expensive (I used to live in FL, where admission is about $70 for one day) and it was crowded, yet people arent smothering me. It would be nice if there was some other way besides stairs to get up the water slides, I didnt mind them, my husband isnt able to climb up and down stairs well. Not a deal breaker. The concessions werent priced too expensive, in my opinion.Customer service was excellent. Will be going back before the season ends!
Love it! Went for breakfast. Had what was recommended on some other reviews. The salmon Benedict. Asked for poached soft.Yay! Coffee was good. A nice unique flavor. Many coffee and drink choices. Nice menu featuring breakfast, lunch etc
This trip was a disappointment because of the weather. We enjoy visiting this park because its a lot of fun for the kids and adults. The newly added water slide (went there in July) was scary on the drop but exhilarating at the same time. Overall, this park is a great spot for family and even birthday celebrations! Will definitely see them again next season!
I have such a great time here. This year im buying a season pass. Three new water ride is great.
Loved this place my son (8) had an awesome time and so did my husband
We come here all the time and love it! Great for all ages and an awesome way to spend a hot summer day. Food prices are pretty cheap and tastes good
Its a pretty good water park considering that we dont have very many of them around here. One of the slides were closed for maintenance. My girlfriend loves the lazy river. I found the Riptide to be the most thrilling. The buffalo chicken wrap I had for lunch was really good. The kid enjoyed the wave pool, she spent hours in there. And the entry fee of around twenty bucks was a bad. If this review helped at all please give me a like.
Back in June, two ambulances had to come because apparently people had fell off the new slide. Me and my sister were halfway up the stairs when it happened. Shouldnt they make sure that the slides are safe? That couldve been me and my sister. Qlso, the same day, almost me and two other kids nearly drowned to death. MAKE SAFETY PRIORITY #1.
This place holds a special place in my heart. It a place where all of the family gathers that has traveled from all over the US just to be together. Its fun and most of all clean!
I would have given this a 5 star rating, but the signs for the height of the riders are not well marked. We went yesterday and stood in line and when we got up to the slide I was told my grandchild was too short to ride. Thats all fine and good, but the height requirements are not properly marked. It is very frustrating. Also alot of the lifeguards do not pay attention to detail. A lot of them where more worried about what they where talking about other than watching these kids and handling the slides. Especially in the tree house area. With this being said, I will return. We did have a good time. So yes its worth a day trip for the kiddos.
Very disappointed that they are not honoring military discount in 2020, I showed him my military ID, the guys said that they need up make up for loss of revenue due to COVID-19....its $21.99 for everyone....
Great local waterpark. Slides for all ages. Wave pool, small kids area and area for moms and young kids. Lazy river for relaxation, plenty of shaded areas with loungers, and a couple of eateries. Cost is cheaper than the big water parks, but this one is fun and entertaining
Fair pricing, reasonable wait times and especially enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river. Next time I will definitely bring my own food and go to the picnic area. The food wasnt particularly tasty
This place is definitely more engineered towards children. There are kiddie slides, a splash park, a big tiki water playground, a small wave pool and a lazy river. The best part for us were the two bigger slides that they have! Its a small water park, but it was pretty clean. They have lockers that you can rent too. We went on a Wednesday during the summer and the max we waited in any line was 10 minutes.
I had a great time! Never been before today and it was money well spent. Even got over my fear of water slides because some of the staff was kind enough to talk me through the experience.Too bad they close so early even though is technically still summer for another month.9/10 would go again :)
Park has a great convenient location and there are a lot of fun rides for all ages. The food and snacks were delicious and the Dippin’ Dots shack was great. Staff and lifeguards were friendly and professional. Will definitely be going here again.
Kids and adults loved it. Wish there was more for the little ones. My youngest (2.5) loves slides and things that go fast, but there only two slides he is tall enough for. There isnt even an option to ride with them on some of the tamer big kid slides. We got turned away from one and then saw a dad go down with his daughter the exact same size as him. He was disappointed, no tantrums or anything but wanted to go fast.
Great fun place.Needs more attractions.
Nice place to go for fun
Its a water park.. not a lot of slides or attraction just a place to get wet. The big water bucket was the best to me, but its ok
Went yesterday and it was so crowded... couldn’t even find one chair... had to sit on a towel on the grass..and forget getting a tube for lazy river or wave pool....the whole place is rough concrete.... so you need to wear swim shoes or your feet will burn and get raw from walking around....the pools are also rough concrete on bottom... my child has skinned up knees.... all of the water is warm... even in the wave pool.... no cool water anywhere....waaaay too many people are allowed in to be enjoyable..and the bathrooms were nasty..... the water is nasty.... go look at the dirt collected on the sides of the pools.... you can see it especially on the walls of the wave pool...just nasty...no telling what’s in the water...never again!
Very fun. Enjoyed the new slides. Love the 2 for tues deal. Only issue is Items in the tree house are very old and worn. A few things like the water pumps, water guns, and ropes for buckets have been broken for multiple seasons without repair. But we will visit again.
The rides are decent but the snack bar was complete chaos! I understand now why people go out to their cars for lunch. There were no real lines... just everyone for themselves! Crazy!
Smaller but enjoyable waterpark with exciting attractions and reasonable prices. Come after 3 for half price admission. We go every chance.
We went on a Friday after 3pm, and it was $12.99 per person. Great deal, friendly staff who were on top of their jobs and safety and a great time for the family. We would definitely return again if were in the area.
Me and my family had a great time here. Its always a great time. Love this local water park
Great family park. I had a good time, the kids had a good time. Customer service was very nice. They were mostly teenagers but they were friendly and respectful.
Season pass is the only way to go, something for all ages my kids really love it. Slides for the big kids giant playground thing for just about all ages to enjoy lazy river for us lazy old folks and a wave pool! Food sucks and is overpriced but that’s why you get the season pass go party go home eat go back party more
This park offers something for everyone... the slides (especially the new ones), the wave pool, otter bay for the little ones, the bucket! And dont forget the lazy river. Plenty of shade and chairs. My favorite part...IT IS CLEAN@
Kids love it and great memories to be made!
A great ending of or vacation before heading home. Got there just as they opened and enjoyed hours in the lazy river. The water slides were very exciting.
Had a great time coming here a few times over the summer. Good family fun.
Such fun for all ages!
It was fun and relaxing, but when rain hits its like the great Exodus, and I would be fine with that except for the fact that everyone is trying to leave as well. It literally took me 3 hours to leave the parking lot!!! 3 hours!!!! Wth! It should not take longer than maybe 30 mins for us to get out of the park. Something needs to be done with regards to getting people out safely and efficiently. I noticed that the traffic light stays green less than 60 seconds and I believe that added to the issue that I was trying to get out along with the rest of the park!!! Come on North Charleston, do better!
Perfect water park with a 3 year old. Kid pool had slides and a lot of water activities,as well as all the other areas. Easily can spend 3-4 hours enjoying yourself
I was there this Sunday with my friends. Don’t ever leave your kids unsupervised in the wave pool!! My friend fell off a tub in the wavepool and began to drown in 6feet. We were yelling at the life guards and they didn’t do not one thing about it. We had to carry our friend out the pool before a life guard even came to help us!! Manager didn’t do nun about the situation either !! This park is fun and all but safety is #1!
Nice, family friendly park. Fun slides, a lazy river, wave pool and two scary slides. I had a blast here with the family ️
The water is very wet and plentiful. There are a lot of slides and water activities to engage in. Can get pretty crowded but, still room to move around. A lot of food and drink options. Overall, good family fun place.
Perfect for a pandemic day
I love this waterpark
Great place and great value
I go every summer with my kids they love the water park. If you love to go to water park bring the whole family to whirling waters.
The water park itself is pretty smart only has about 5 slides. I feel like you dont really get your bang for your buck.
We had a great time here. Cant wait to take my siblings during summer break. I know they will have fun.
Expensive but fun for the kids. Height requirements could be lowered a bit. I reccomend you wear water shoes seeing as the ground get hot but loved it.
Pricey compared to some parks but much more adventurous slides. Lots of fun!
Slides and toys for kids of all ages to play on. Clean and safe (life guards through out park).
I love the water slides but, it is very easy to lose someone there cuz it is huge. I also loved the new water slides they are very fun too.
Love the new slides, kids had an amazing time. Great thing to do on your day off.
I always love it when I go there I just never do a review, the water is great Im just afraid of the big slides lol. Oh and I wish the had a single pool area just for swimming and playing other than that its awesome!!!
Its a nice local water park. With a decent lazy river. Its a good way to spend a few hours with or without kids in tow.
Great place to take the kids - they have a dedicated play area for the smaller ones and the usual assortment of larger slides for the more adventurous older ones. Theyve updated their locker rental for this season - it is now controlled by an automated kiosk that is quick and easy to use. You choose a numeric PIN, which is nice because you dont have to keep track of a key. They also feature new seat-style floats for the lazy river. We get the Super Splash Pass every year and are looking forward to using it a lot this season.
Kids enjoy it, seating areas are very dirty but pools are clean and good enough
Fun for the whole family
Its a little expensive if you have a family of 4 but its a good way to spend a Saturday. They have picnic tables beside the entrance so you can eat there rather than buy a 4$ slice of pizza inside the park.
THEY NEED A BETTER SYSTEM ON THE NEW WATERSLIDES - THEY NEED A LIFT OF SOME KIND FOR THE RAFTS, THEY ARE TOO HEAVY TO CARRY UP ALL THOSE STAIRS
Great day for the family.
This place never lacks the fun. Especially when you go with you friends
Its ok. Better for middle schoolers and below
Great place for Summer fun
Love this place. They put in a couple of new slides that are so much fun! Love the pink one!!
This place was wonderful not packed like you would expect and the facilities were very clean and well kept, even my husband told me to leave a review because he was very happy about the overall experience.
