Great place for a family walk and some photos today! I always love seeing wildlife in nature! Saw a couple of herons and several turtles. Great place to go and social distance so that you can get your vitamin D.
Fabulous park with packed mud, gravel and some manicured and paved trails, a short boardwalk, gazebo and lots of small ponds and water bodies with plenty of sitting benches. The park is traversed by a busy road. Walking the trails around the ponds is a couple of miles at least. Loads of fire ant /other biting ant mounds all over the place, so definitely wear closed shoes. Plenty of warning signs for alligators, but no signs of any. Bring a picnic and enjoy it, or hit up nearby Augusta, GA across the water for plenty of options.
Its a really nice relaxing place to unwind your thoughts. They have a trail that you can ride your bike, run or walk. Theres places to sit to enjoy the view. You can not feed the wild life if caught there is a hefty fine. If you look around you will definitely see nature at its calm. Just be cautious of the alligators that may slide by.
A peaceful escape from the everyday grind...I didnt even know this was here...Nestled on the banks of the Savanah river this park is a must see.
Very nice park. Not very large, our walk around it was about 1.5 miles.
Fun walking trail to take the kids. We did find a small alligator.
Great place to walk around with family or by yourself. Walking trail is well maintained. Plenty of nature for being in the middle of the city! We love going here.
Very nice natural preserve. Saw a baby alligator.
So refreshing, peaceful, just a nice place to walk, ride your bike, jog....
The occasional glimpse of a gator is always fun however if youve waited until the day had gotten too warm and theyre hiding, theres always more wildlife to check out. Been coming here over a year now and its always a good walk.
Nice sun & shaded walking trails that are paved & unpaved.
Nice area, really nice place to take a walk, take photos, and enjoy nature. The area is very well maintained and very clean.
Parking is a bit complicated if youre new to the area like us, but the park was clean and well kept. Very scenic, but not too off the beaten path. Good for people who enjoy the outdoors without wanting a good hike to get there.
Beautiful park with lots of wild life to view. I love walking the trails here and easily accessible from the Greenway.
Very clean and enjoyable walking park. Didnt see any alligators this time.
Calm, relaxing walk with my wife through the beautiful park was exactly what our northern souls needed. It took me from a great place into Heaven and we will remember it for the rest of our lives!
A great place for photos.
Nice little park in town. Lots of reptilian and avian wildlife. Alligators, titles, snakes. I know. This will be 5 stars for some and no stars for others.
This is the best place to take a break and enjoy a nice walk close to nature. Great for outdoors professional photography!
This park is beautiful. Quiet and peaceful not a lot of people. Perfect for a stroll or for running with your pets. I loved it.
Very good for a family to take an aftermeal walk ! Though its relatively smaller, its nicely laid out with pond and water streams.
Beautiful place to visit and walk.
Me and my kids love to go there they have all kinds of stuff to have a real good adventure
There may be many folks whove lived in the Greater Augusta area for some time or even all their lives that dont know about Brick Pond Park in North Augusta. Just across the 13th Street Bridge and situated below the Municipal Building at 88 Georgia Ave(near SRP Park), Brick Pond Park is a 40 acre restored wetland with multiple amenities including trails, areas for fishing, non-motorized boating and several seating areas for wildlife viewing. There is a diverse and healthy ecosystem here and there are alligators present(keep a safe distance). Its a great spot to visit even during winter months and an amazing example of careful civic planning resulting in a functioning wetland at the edge of downtown North Augusta and just across the river from downtown Augusta.
It was my first going there it was a very peaceful I saw alot of turtles it was fun my grandson was having fun looking for turtles diving and swimming
The Brick Yard Ponds are full of wildlife and swampy flora. Its not a place that feels like paved roads and shopping centers are within walking distance. If you are looking for a quite and peaceful place with lots of nature in the North Augusta area take a trip to the Brick Yard Ponds. Such a beautiful sanctuary. Enjoy a stroll or ride your bike. Wildlife sightings galore! Birds, turtles, alligators, fish. Great place for a photo shoot too. We take all of our visitors to the Brick Ponds. Then stop by The Larder for a drink or an ice
So beautiful. Easily accessible. Picture perfect.
Great walk through the brick ponds. Lots of wildlife, turtles, birds, water snake & squirrels
Very picturesque park. Weve had our family photos taken there twice now, and each time there are just so many options for great shots. The park is easy to access, if you know where to go. Its location at the mouth of the Augusta Greenway also makes it great for a stop along an afternoon bike ride, jog, or walk.
Its great having a place like this in the city. North Augusta does a great job of providing beautiful places to visit.
Brick Pond Park is a beautiful small park outside Hammonds Ferry. There are several walkways around the ponds that make it a perfect location to end a walk on the greenway.
I love walking the nature trails and seeing the wildlife. This place is beautiful.
Scenery beautiful, peaceful, & relaxing.
This park is literally lit. Me and my hot boyfriend go here whenever we feel like getting some air. Its a great walk and so simple. The vibes of nature is every thing here. Just watch out for the crocodiles. The turtles and birds are so cool you might feel tempted to swim with them.
Beautiful well kept park by USC and North Augusta. Great for pictures and a nature walk. Careful for the gators.
Didnt know what to expect. In general it was quiet nice. Very few people, and not to noisy from the surrounding area. Saw a couple herons, anhingas, turtles, and miscellaneous fish, lots of water lilies and other flowers. Interested in coming back on a cooler, overcast day.
Nice and tranquil park. Good spot for picnic and practice photography.
Excellent areas to hangout and watch for Gators.
I went to this place a few months ago, and it was a very nice experience. I came to see the alligators and the turtles, that were claimed to be there. Finding the pond that had the alligators were difficult, and the way I found it was by spotting an alligator a few feet away and almost having a heart attack.I was very surprised that I actually found alligators, as many parks claim to have alligators but I have never seen any. This was my first time being a few feet away from an alligator WITHOUT ANYTHING SEPARATING ME FROM THE ALLIGATOR!I dont understand how they do it without anybody getting EATEN BY THE ALLIGATORS.Very good experience, but I recommend to WALK SLOWLY and LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING!
I love this place so much I got married here
Very well kept. Nice trails and a neat floating dock. Fun to possibly see an alligator. That being said practice caution and keep dogs on a tight leash.
Beautiful park. Nice place to take a walk and enjoy the peace and quiet
Just a quaint little place to take a still and be close to nature. Nothing spectacular but still exciting
Its a nice park
Beautiful, peaceful place for a stroll aside from the construction at SRP Park. Hard to find the old access road but its right beside the new parking garage for the apartments.
Very relaxing and enjoyable
Always peaceful and beautiful.
I enjoyed the peaceful view and quiet at the pond. It was a perfect place and a perfect day for the memorial for my friend.
Great place to meet people & get a great workout & see a few animals while workout
Awesome little nature walk to take your significant other before the GreenJackets game.
Beautiful park. Well maintained! Alligators are present!!
Beautiful area for walking
A very pretty and short hike
Awesome! We had a little trouble with where Google maps told us to park but we circled around and found it. The park is beautiful and easy to access with gravel trails throughout. We came in the morning and saw a ton of wildlife, the green herons are very easy to miss, they blend in so well. When we finished around 9 the parking lot was full since the greenway trail is right there too.
Love the ponds there old clay pits. Used.to make brick dug till they hit water established since the 70 s at least they have fishing tournaments and there well used they charge a.small fee and you dont even need a fishing license to fish sometimes there dirty with weeds and snakes are everywhere a couple alligators as well fun place to fish
Its a very beautiful park
They have really done a lot with this place. When I was a kid it was a swamp we went fishing in until the snakes got so bad. There are alligators here so be careful with small children and pets near the water.
Beautiful park located at the entrance of the new Augusta Green Jackets stadium. Includes plenty of walking trails and sits on the greenway walking trail. Lots of marsh area and open water with an array of wildlife such as gators, cranes, turtles, fish etc. Includes a large Bark Park around 1 acre divided into small and large dogs.
This is a nice park but they are building a lot around there. So when the alligators start showing up for sporting events it shouldnt be news.
Nice safe place to take a stroll.
Jessica bartender was great!!!! I forgot other bartender name I think it was Jason he is going to bartender Olympics!!!! Wish him well!!!!
Nice place to go for a walk.
Beautiful place
We went to the kids Earth Day event but its a neat little place.
Amazing beautiful park loaded. Bratswart sausage very good
They are making this park better every season I visit. I don’t live in the area but visit the area once every quarter. Whenever you want to get out for your lunch break, this place offers a great opportunity to be in nature. There are places you can sit and enjoy the nature or you can take the trail for a long walk.
Great we caught two fish we put them back though
This place is really nice. I hope the trash gets cleaned out of the pond nearest to the construction though. I saw an alligator, crane, and a ton of other wildlife including a bunch of native flora. This place actually motivated me to get in touch with the conservation group here to see what I could do to keep this area clean. People who litter make me so angry.
Needs more educational reading material along the walk
Alligators to see, and also other animals, in a beautiful setting.
Great bike routes
Gorgeous place. Clean. Even got to see a huge alligator.
Beautiful birds. Well maintained path.
Nice area, great place to take a walk, take photos, and enjoy nature. The area is very well maintained and very clean. Keep an eye out for alligators though ;-)
Brick pond park is one of my most favorite places to walk its mostly quiet and you can see wildlife like deer, alligator, birds, snakes, fish and much more and I really prefer this place i rate it a 10/10
Nice park, biked the Greenway end to end very beautiful
I think training half marathon can helping me. Of course, I really enjoyed for run and running.
N. Augusta has a hidden gem! This place is great for walking, running, biking, and probably easy on the skateboarding. The pond area is very quiet and serene. Might get lucky and see a gator.
Awesome little place. Saw two alligators
Very good place to walk around and look at alligator
Nice but really small. A one-hour trip max
Beautiful and all dogs on a leash
Awesome park. It is truly a hidden gem and an excellent time with the family! I would highly recommend it in addition to the Greenway trail.
Great relaxing stroll
Very pretty for a walk and alligator sightings.
Cudos to the City of North Augusta for saving this piece of land from development. The park contains several ponds and small lakes which make for some amazing nature watching !!
Quiet small park with wildlife and alligators!!
Nice place to visit for some time to relax. Trails and covered gazebo are well maintained. Connects to the Greenway Trail.
