Really nice, well maintained park in downtown Norcross. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and a good sized playground. It isnt huge so its not great for long walks or jogs, but its a beautiful spot to just be outside.
Great open space with great playground equipment for young and older kids alike. Adequate seating for the adults as you supervise the kiddos. Small town feel with a railroad, shops and restaurants within walking distance.
My son loves to come to this park he always have fun.
About the a block large, Thrasher Park packs a surprising amount of fun in for such a relatively small space. Parking is convenient, and I have rarely had an issue getting a space right next to it even during peak hours. Well kept grounds and some amazing trees make it very pleasing to the eye. A good deal of the park is playground, making it more of a destination to bring your kids rather than a date; however there are benches and bench swings aplenty. Copious shade and surprisingly clean restrooms add a lot to the appeal. Train tracks run by the park, but are fenced off of course. My boys love to watch them go by. Plenty of downtown Norcross shopping in easy walking distance as well. The streets around are relatively busy, but the playground is situated far enough back that safety isnt compromised.
The park is well taken care of. There is a good size playground. Its always fun to watch the kids watch when a train comes through.
Beautiful park, nice playground for the kids, great place to watch the trains go by.
Great playground for all ages. Nice grass areas. Plenty of space to stay safe
Beautiful and well maintained. Great for kids and to watch the trains pass by from up close.
Nice park great atmosphere friendly people great family oriented day
Great place to let the kids play it has a great playground with intresting peices for them to play on. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing park visit.
The park was nice. A group of about 11 young teenage boys chose to play soccer next to the place on the lawn where my family was sitting. They kept letting the ball roll where we were sitting although I kindly asked them to keep the ball on their side of the lawn. Disappointed by their defiant behavior, my family and I chose to cut our visit to the park short. Didnt mind them playing soccer just didnt like the disrespect for others.
So many things to do! Many birds and squirrels! If you are an photographer or a bird water, this is the ideal place to do this!
This is a great park for families and a wonderful place to take pictures as well. Their Christmas light display is also very interesting and another good place to take pictures. Theres a shop or restaurant for everyone and lots of places to walk by and see something interesting
Love the beautiful picturesque fountains. Family friendly park. Narrow but they have an area where the babies can play in the water in the summer.
You must visit, it is a great park.
Love this amazing park! It is small, but quiet, beautiful, safe, and it has an awesome playground that kids of all ages can enjoy! It is also walking distance to downtown historic Norcross, where there are wonderful restaurants, a great little coffee shop, and cute shops! Its really a great day for the whole family!
Very nice park! Not as big as my favorite park Piedmont. Its definitely my second favorite! Its clean and very kept up nicely and the grown ups and kids were pleasant! My daughter and I will definitely be coming back!
This is my favorite park to take the kids too. The bathrooms are clean, plenty of benches under shade. Playground equiptment for kids of all ages. Gorgeous trees and right in the heart of downtown norcross. They have stage and pavillion and regularly have community events there. There is something charming about being right next to the railroad and seeing the train pass by. Not to mention, it is a 1 minute walk from to a strip of restaurants and boutiques.
Ive always loved this part its always felt safe and clean.
Its a lovely park. A lot of things for kids to climb and play on. I really like that they have a small kid and bigger kid section.
Very nice place to take your kids too
Good separate play areas for both bigger kids and smaller tots. Not as many swings as ideal but wasnt too crowded when we visited. It is right by some train tracks so when one does roll by occasionally its pretty loud... Fun for kids to watch but maybe not great if your baby was snoozing.Parked on the street which was easy but didnt see parking lot assuming there was one
This is the best place to eat at the Hilton. The bartenders were great and the appetizers when we went were like 3$. We had a great time and got fat off like 3$ wings and great beer.
A nice little park with a playground
Very nice.
Nice little tucked away park in Norcross. Hidden gem.
Its a very nice park to just relax at or to take your kids to they have a lot of stuff the kids can do there .plus the trains comes right by the park for the kids to see.
Great place to go and enjoy a free concert. Get there 30min before the start time to get a good parking spot. You can bring your chairs, tables, blankets, food n drinks. Theres no bad spots, the stage is viewable from all locations of the park and theres lots of room for dancing
One of the best walks you can take on your lunch break is around and through this park. Extra points for the huge happy frogs ^_^
Clean and comfortable park
Watched a train pass by, delightful
Clean park with facilities. Large playground with a lot of benches situated under the shade.
Nice little park with some unique playground equipment. Theres lots of shade and some benches around the perimeter, but it does get pretty hot on the main jungle gyms. Its walkable to/from the stores and restaurants in downtown. Parking might be an issue on busy days, so weekday mornings are probably best.
My most favorite park! Great for all ages! Beautiful!
Nice park. Lots of seating, play area for littles & bigs, close bathrooms, green area to run, food in walking distance. Not covered though.
Great park. Tons of shade. Friendly environment. Restrooms and water. Oh water?! Bring a towel if your little ones want to play in the fountain. (Thats in the other park next to it.)
Kudos to the City of Norcross! I am attending a Summer Solstice Shindig in the park. Ruperts Orchestra is phenomenal and they have hundreds of people dancing non-stop. There is a sizable and very enthusiastic crowd. Great fun!
We brought a 2 year old, great! Ages from 2 to 8 or 9 can enjoy the parks attractions
Beautiful place
Beautiful little park with great equipment for many ages.
This may have been the best of the year so far...Nashvilles Downtown Band are real pros that know how keep it going for the full 130 mins they were on stage. Lots of fun and better than most musically.
Its small but my grandkids love playing at this park. Very well kept.
Its a very nice park not too big or small located in a historic neighborhood where they have nice eatery and little shops. Police was nearby and on watch for safety. Kids have a variety of things to choose for play. Etc. Love It !will be going back
What impresses me is that folks are there to enjoy the music and their friends. No aggressive behavior just a good time. A zillion people and cars but it manages to get worked outThanks Norcross for a good evening
We loved this place. They had a band covering the Beatles and they are by far the best act I have seen taking on such a task. The Liverpool Legends is the name of the band. The atmosphere at the park was really healthy and our children loved both the concert and the place. ..
Very nice and clean park
A beautiful park located in downtown Norcross. Rich in history and a lot of fun for both children and Adults
THE PERFECT CHOICE!This park is an ice cold drink of lemonade on a hot day. We walked over from the Lillian Webb park and were immediately greeted by the shady trees and cool breeze. It was so nice that we took time to sit on one of the bench swings to just relax and take it all in. This park has a great cushioned play area for the kids and unique structures. This equipment appeared to be relatively new and it was very sturdy. Oh yeah, this is the equipment that I would sneak and play on when no one is looking. It was the bomb and immediately brought back fond memories of my days on the playground. This park also has picnic areas with grills and a nice covered pavilion that houses the bathrooms. There are plenty of seated areas to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. I appreciate the trash receptacles that are located throughout the park for visitors convenience and of course that awesome amphitheater.
Went here for a race with Atlanta Track Club and it was really clean! The playground looks new and it is very convenient to the downtown Norcross area. I enjoyed the park and everything that little area offered during the race.
Nice day. Alot of families out enjoying themselves
Fun times
I love this park and they had an R&B band out there and it was beautiful just a little hot but once a cool. We got up and party it was very nice and I love love love this park
Nice Family Friendly Park. Surrounded by good eating places, so just park, play, shop and eat. All in one place. Also photo perfect
Norcross does a great job with what they have to work with. The park is a hundred years old and they have made it into a great concert venue. The sound system is very good, and the bathroom on wheels is luxurious compared to other municipal venues. And the Norcross crowd keeps the dance floor packed. The Friday night concerts are the place to be.
Very small in between traffic lots of cars around. Very few children can actually play. Its clean and have a playground area but not a place for a lot of kids
A great park to walk around, the shops down from it are cute. We like to pokemon here because of all the stops.
Fun place good people interacting visit antique shop on corner near Dominiques
A sweet little jewel in the heart of Norcross. Kids play area, meeting/eating/cooking pavilion, outdoor theater. Lots of grass. A great place to play, hang out, people watch, or train spot.
Love this Park. I have a 4yo and a 1yo and its perfect for both. They have a kiddie park on one side and older equipment for the older children. Its packed on Fridays. We can stay here for hours. Just bring snacks and theyll never want to leave.
Great park for kids and large groups. Weve been there many times for birthday parties and the kids always leave exhausted. The grounds are always clean and well maintained. Its right next to the train tracks that go through Norcross. It can be loud when a train goes by but the kids love seeing trains.
What a great use of my tax-payers money.
Small but clean
Love this park! The equipment is top notch and being right near downtown makes play and food options perfect for a family outing with kids.
Clean and quiet
Downtown Norcross has a lot to offer for the whole family. Thrasher park offers a wonderful playground for the kids. There are many different pieces of fun equipment. If your kid is a train fan, they will love the opportunity to see an occasional train that comes through downtown. After playing at the park, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many great restaurants within walking distance of the park. Theres also a splash pad in another park behind downtown.
I love going to Thrasher Park, to meet and greet people at the wonderful concerts...dance and have fun...
Loved it. Nice place to bring kids wonderful place for family to hang out too
Beautiful place for the kids to play. There are several restaurants and cafes within walking distance. There are restrooms on site and picnic tables .
Good place to hold small evening concerts in the summer months.
Very nice park, my kids loved the playground
Nice, clean & convenient) great area.
Great park to take kids. Not far from a water fountain kids can play in. Lots of stores within walking distance. Kids have a great view of trains passing by as well.
Very peaceful park. Plenty if play equipment for children 10 and under in my opinion. Sits in the heart of Norcross. You can watch the trains pass by if thats your thing. Park is well maintained and clean.
Very clean. Bathrooms are clean and nice. Beautiful place. Great for the whole family.
Handicap parking was very sociable spark is very clean and nice
This is a wonderful park with plenty of pathways to walk and enjoy its beauty. They have fun events year round that focus on the local community. The lights put up during the holidays are among my favorite. The decorations put up for every holiday get you in the spirit. The entire streets become lined with American flags for Independence Day, and it gets everyone in the area patriotic. They have small concerts and movies during the summer months. There is several restaurants nearby that have excellent food. They also have art displays that pop up every once in a while. Get a selfie with the frog on the bench.
