Was a refreshing experience. Nice to be able to get down and close to the Niagara river. You can really take in the power of nature. The elevator takes you back into the older times. The boardwalk is well maintained and a small stroll to get to the end. If you are not in a hurry you could spend close to two hours
This is one of the must amazing attraction that you should be do, if you are in Niagara Falls. You will go down through an old Elevator 70 meters, you will could see and smell the river. The mini- tunnel makes you feel the cold of the river ¡AMAZING!There are some platforms where you get a better view of the river and their strong waves and also get nice photos. The side walk have a lot of history information available. Dont miss this place! You can use the WEGO buss 603 north, until the last stop or just use the address available in google maps.Prices are $16.50 per adult. But I will recommend you buy the seasonal pass at NIAGARA PARK and save something!YOU WILL REALLY LOVE IT!Visit me in Youtube as TEAM LAS DAMAS TV, I will be uploading at the end of september 2020 some videos about my experience there and other places...
Great place to walk right alongside the water and really see and feel the power of the falls. You take an elevator down and walk a relatively short tunnel to get to the riverside boardwalk. Tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for kids (6-12 yrs). Alternatively, if you have an adventure pass, they are included in your multi attraction pass. Visit the Niagara Parks site for more info, if you plan a visit. Definitely a very col experience!
Cool experience... Those rapids are aggressive!!FUN FACT: waves in some parts of the rapids can be as high as 6 meters.Takes about 30 minutes to do the walk. It’s not physically demanding (at all) and accessible for all (thanks to a well maintained boardwalk). Also parking on the street is free - simply register your car with security. On that note: the Security guard is very strict about physical distancing - and that was very appreciated Highly recommend this experience!
Unbelievable! Totally different angle of the falls river. Good angle to see the power of that current. Its not a long walk, but definitely something youll enjoy if you have the patience to appreciate it.Theres toilettes at the parking lot. Parking is free if you purchase the tickets there and ask for a voucher, then you drop the voucher on your cars dashboard.I wouldnt miss it if I go back.
Niagara Falls NEVER gets monotonous for me. This walk was so beautiful. The Rapids are BREATHTAKING. Some people might think paying 18 bucks for a walkway is a lot but I ask you to look at how well the walkway is built... how easy it is for people with all kinds of mobility levels to access it and how close you get to the Rapids... IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Am I biased... ABSOLUTELY... THIS IS NIAGARA FALLS CANADA PEOPLE!!!
There isnt much to this walk. Sixty minutes is the recommended amount of time to spend here. Will you spend a whole hour here? If you walk super slow, wait for other people to pass on the boardwalk (during these covid19 times) and walk to and from your parking spot and briefly browse at the gift shop its possible. Otherwise, youll spend significantly less time here.Your ticket can be purchased inside the gift shop or you can repurchase online, security will check any bags that you may have and then you wait for an elevator. A staff in the elevator will give you a few facts on the way down such as traveling down 70 metres to get to the boardwalk. Theres a walkway to the boardwalk from the elevator and then theres a large platform to view the rapids and the start of the boardwalk on the other side.I liked the information plaques along the way providing facts like how high the waves are in the Whirlpool Rapids (5 metres!), the rapids travel at 48 km/hr, the waves are caused by the sheer force of the water being directed through the narrowing of the gorge and that these rapids are Class 6 (from a scale of Class 1 to 6).Theres a few viewing platforms that extend from the boardwalk to get a closer look at the rapids. Beware that water from the rapids does splash onto the platforms. I wish that the boardwalk was longer so that we could spend more time beside the rapids.
Amazing experience!Prepare to be blown away by the sheer power of the water at the white water walk! The walk itself is not very long but it makes up with the wonder of the green water rushing through this narrow passage of the Niagara River which boasts to have the highest standing waves in North America! An elevator will bring you from the gift shop down to the tunnel that leads to the walk! From the walk there are still more stairs leading to a platform even closer to the raging waves!Along all the other sight seeing places in Niagara this is a MUST SEE! Don’t miss it when you’re visiting!
This has to be the biggest hidden Jem in Niagara. This was the best money we spent. There is so much history associated with this attraction. But also a great way to view the water up close and personal. We were able to meet with a.staff member who had been there since the 80s he was so knowledgable and friendly he had alot of stories to share with alot of history of the American side and Canadian side! Will def return in the spring!!!
It needs a ticket to walk on this little White Water Walk. It is maintained well by Niagara Parks. Great Rapids and the Sound of water will wash your mind. Its fun short walk but its worth it.Tip: Niagara Park offers a Combo Pass which includes this walk so if you’re doing 4 activities its worth to get a Pass. 67 $ + Tax ( free WEGO bus ride throughout destinations for 48 hours )
Note for parking: Parking is free in the parking lot opposite to entry building. When you buy ticket, please ask for parking ticket. Put that in your car when parking the car in the lot. I saw people paying for parking via parking meter in the lot. Youll have to be lucky to get available parking space first ;)Now regarding the walk itself. Rapids are great but as other reviewers said, its definitely really short and quick walk. $17 per ticket seems a bit expensive but I guess thats for maintaining such a space.I wish there was more sitting arrangement so people can relax, observe and enjoy the rapids and spend more time.Enjoy taking some photos while the sound of rapids mesmerise you.
Got there on a Sunday to a long line (almost 1 hour). Well worth it to stand next to those massive rapids and look up at the eagles soaring between the cliffs. Its a short hike but lots of opportunities for pics and videos.
OverpricedIts a little walk up and down this wooden bridge... you could easily just spend 30 minutes there..But it’s absolutely beautiful!
Wow!! You cannot beat these sights. The kids loved getting their feet wet on the platforms.
Feel the strong rapids of the mighty Niagara River as you walk along the boardwalk. Beforehand you take down an elevator 230 feet deep and go through a tunnel that feels quite cool from the sweat of the river.Lots of Instagram shoot places. Information about the speed of the rapids, depths, colour, foam and history abound along the boardwalk.Parking is not free. Summer 2020 prices: $16.50 adults, $10.00 kids. 2 under free. A good 30 - 45 minutes stay.
Fantastic way to be up close and personal with white water! The walkway is maintained and there are lots educational boards along the walk.Beautiful spots to get closer to the waters edge.
First times visited this amazing place. And observed the power of the nature. Its have some of the strongest Rapids in the world. First an elevator took us down then passed through a tunnel. (seemed a tunnel from WWII era)As came out from the tunnel, we found ourselves in beautiful Niagara Gorge, blue green water, crashing waves, roaring sound of river.A boardwalk beside the river, there are several viewing platforms and lot of informations displayed for visitors.
Simply breathtaking! I went there with family on a weekday. Not very busy and social distancing was upheld. Theres parking across the street and I wouldnt spend more than hour there. You can also buy the tickets online to avoid the queue.
Im always visit this place. people spend avarage 60 minutes. But its just 20 minutes walk.u can see another awesome view of Niagara river. U get free parking when u buy ticket.
Beautiful view..! Don’t have more words to describe it, perfect to take pictures.
Water is such a beautiful color and it’s so mesmerizing to watch the water flow so forcefully. There’s a spot at the end of the walk where you can stand and get splashed which is SO refreshing on a super hot day. They take you down to the walk via an elevator and this strange underground tunnel.Keep in mind when you’re in line, there’s one line to buy tickets and then a line for people who already have tickets. We accidentally stood in the wrong line and had to go back. The whole walk takes about 15 minutes or so
Very interesting to walk along the rapids and the gorge area of Niagara. The history is there to see on the splendour of the area.A bit pricey given all u see is water but otherwise its not bad for enjoyment.
Awesome spot to check out the amazing Niagara rapids! This is a quarter mile boardwalk along side a class 6 rapids, its a beautiful and amazing sight to see the color and power of the rapids. Its definitely a spot to see while visiting Niagara. The only caution is to note the wait to descend the elevator to reach the boardwalk as well as the line to take the elevator back up once you are done, so be prepared for the extra time necessary. Also, there is a free parking lot across the street from the entrance with paid admission to the rapids, so dont pay for street parking!
Stunning and gorgeous 1km walk with lookouts to rapids & falls. Cool underground elevator ride to the walkway...went off season with minimal waitlist.
Its the place to go and see it. With the COVID, you need to have mask, paid the tickets 18$ online, and extra time to line up. Walking short distance 500m, but its beautiful
I enjoyed the view of the river very much. It was so chilly and nice - made me feel so close to nature
Amazing niagara river! The color of the river water is very beautiful. The river is turbulent and flows quickly
The view is great, can never get tired of it. When the place is packed then it kind of sucks because you cant get a good view our a good picture, but with Covid theres less people in there so its awesome. Conversely the line is even longer, but what can you do? My most recent visit the lower observation platforms were closed due to weather and wow, seeing the waves drown out the deck is amazing, makes you feel super small
Must visit, one of the best attraction in Niagara Falls Canada. 23 story down via high speed elevator ride and walk through the tunnel will take you to the breathtaking scenery of Niagara river.Great hiking, well secure walk along the river.Open till November 3rd.Highly recommended, enjoy some of my Collection.
Its a class 6 water raft. One time visit. Small walk along the river will give you multiple spots to enjoy the view. Peaceful on a clear day.
Beautiful spot, easy to walk, clean and safe. Will visit again.
Worth walking once. The speed and force of rapids and waves is just amazing. Nature is not always calm and beautiful. Sometimes its wild and beautiful too.
Really great way to get up close and personal with the rapids! Price for entry is a bit steep but I think the walk is worth it. It’s shorter than I expected but the posters around the walk tell the story and history of the rapids and the river which was much appreciated. There can be quite a lineup in the afternoon on nice days so show up early to avoid the crowds.
Visited this in August last year (2019) and thoroughly enjoyed the White Water Walk. There are couple of photo booths available and few perfect photo spots too. Wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend.
A place to be visited multiple times. Color and sound of the water are mesmerizing. Color of water is green. View of the wood bridge, rock, water, underground tunnel are too good. Place is well maintained. Staffs are well behaved and they guide everyone. The history and fact are well written. A place to be visited multiple times.
The view was incredible. I expected a longer walk, but I assume they have to shorten the trip as a precautionary measure due to COVID. Either way, the water is beautiful with some platforms closer to the water, making it the perfect spot for pictures.
Was bored of going to Falls. But this place is a pretty new experience. Loved it
16 bucks for the elevator (6ppl at a time) down to the main floor where you walk a small tunnel the boardwalk along the rapids. Buy your tickets before you line up!(1hr wait if busy) Parking close by (2.25per hr) but can fill up quickly.
Great view and experience for families. Cheaper on Tuesdays with the toonie Tuesdays where kids can go for $2. Good place to see on the Canadian side of niagra on the lake.
Amazing experience. Enjoy huge powerful river and understand how mature can be beautiful and dangerous same time. Highly recommend.
Amazing place to be close to the water. You do have to pay admission but its worth it. The sound of the waves and the scenery is mind blowing.
A great place to safely get close to this beautiful river, great place to take some videos and pictures.
Firstly the staff working at this place are RUDE, dismissive, however funny enough were very kind to others (let me leave it at that). Remember to ask for ur free parking pass from the unhappy, rude perhaps even biased workers. The scenic walk is definitely worth it so i would say demand respect and get in to enjoy it for yourself.
One feels the actual fury of the river when you are at the eye level. Truly amazing.
Nice place to spend an hour! The water is just awesome. I think Id prefer the Glen as there are actual hikes to do instead of just a small pathway.
It is a well maintained walkway, very beautiful and gives an amazing view of the rapids with information plaques giving a variety of information for the tourists. The sound of the river flowing, the thunder as it makes its way over the rocks is fascinating and unforgettable. It is a must visit for tourists. We were lucky to have warm and sunny weather during our walk as later in the afternoon it started raining.
Fun attraction and a nice walk but not worth the price point.
Great experience! The power of the water is breathtaking. Need to knows: parking is free and no need to buy in advance. You have to wait in line anyways.
A friend recommended us to go here. We never would have heard about it on our own since we were just passing through. Beautiful nature boardwalk by white rapids. The power of the water is majestic. Great place for pictures on a sunny day. Parking included in price. Worth the money. I highly recommend stopping by.
Simply stunning. Its not a long walk but its a great view of the crashing water and its great to admire.
Scenic walk to watch the gushing waters of the Niagara Falls! It’s mesmerizing to watch it and the backdrop truly serves for a great Instagram picture
Nature at it’s best. Nice spots for taking picture. And you can feel the river!
Nice wasting time must to see !All Inclusive in Niagara falls park package. See price !!!
Blissful.. The sound of the flowing water is a blessing to the ear..
A one of a kind walk. We got here at a perfect time, around 9am in October. I imagine this isnt near the experience with crowds. There was probably only a dozen people on the boardwalk. It was fantastic and the class 6 rapids were truly awe-inspiring
Must go place with flowing fast water to see
This place had beautiful views and it was a nice, easy walk suitable for young children.
The walk is great, but short. Is it worth money I paid? Only for one time. Would love to return but it cost $16 per adult. However, the view of the river is mesmerizing!
No words to say about Gods creativity and humans mind in building the path to see the spectacular view. I stayed their with my family for a long time admiring the water its creativeness.
Fabulous experience up close to the Rapids although shorter than I expected
This was a nice walk beside the rapids. Id say that the cost of admission was fairly steep for a self guided tour, but everything in Niagara seems to be extremely expensive. There was a bit of chaos outside as you need to pay in one place then line up somewhere else. This doesnt seem to be a COVID thing, just badly organized. A bit of signage would help.
Absolutely no social distancing what so ever. You are forced into an elevator with others outside of you bubble. Even whe I had asked the others behind me to give my family a bit of room it was an issue. The walk way (bridges) dont provide enough room for families to walk through safely. I ended up leaving after about 5 min. What a waste of money and time. If you are someone who is trying to keep your self and others safe this place isnt for you. My over all experience was terribly poor. I will try back after this is all over and adjust my rating at that time.
One of my favourite Niagara attractions! You can get a real sense for the force of the water as it makes its way through the Category 5 rapids. It is peaceful in the gorge and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the sites near the falls. This attraction is easily accessible with the people mover bus. If arriving by vehicle, you can park in the lot across the street and pay by meter or obtain a complimentary parking pass from the attraction desk which is valid while youre in the gorge.
Its a great place to get close to the rush of water at the bottom of the fall. There are lots of room for photos and videos (its a pity I cannot post them here) . Due to covid, they limited the amount of visitors which makes it even better experience with less people. The wait was long at 45 mins when it opened, however, once you get down the elevator and long tunnel, its worth the time and money . Cost $16.50 per adult
This was one of the events in our 2-day basic pass, really interesting. The rushing water, creating so high and loud was incredibly surreal. It was a beautiful day and clear and couldn’t have asked for better weather. Self timed walk but there were cool little tidbits of information on the boardwalk downstream. It’s very low key, but definitely cool to experience.
The water is beautiful. However it’s pretty costly for a 5 minute walk down a boardwalk and back. Just to look at some water move with the current. I think Niagara Falls should be charging less for their attractions, since it’s a pandemic and we are risking ourselves to visit and feed money into the economy to make sure they still have jobs.
When you have seen the majestic Niagara Falls. Their beauty is undeniable. Then maje your way down river to just past the Whirpool bridge but just before the whioool itself take an elevator ride down to the waters edge. When you see the water that a short time ago went over the falls is now rushing past you. You can feel the strength of the currents by hearing abd seeing them.I was last here close to 50 years ago on a school trip and the feeling of awe was just as intense as back then. Im so happy that i got to be here again this time with family.
Beautiful but too expensive for such a short walk. With a family of 4, its ~$70. Felt disappointed after having come a long way, waited in a line, and the walk was 10 mins. You can spend however long you want, but it is designed to walk & experience, so once you have done that youll want to go back.
Definetly Recommend everyone to visit there at least one time. Its a nice place to visit
This is excellent activity to see the downstream of the Niyagara river. This is one of the best actives that you do with your family if you visit Niyagara. I really enjoy the boardwalk. Its a 750 m board walk, with places where you can be next to the river. The rapids of Niagara river can be seen very close.I was told that the water runs at speeds of 40kmph and the colour of the water is green and Blue.
Beautiful walk way to see the rapid. Excellent service and very nice staff. Great view of the River. Bring shoes with treads though since the boardwalk can be slippery.
Worth the wait for the elevator down and up.
Really cool walk. Highly recommend it. Get to see the power of the lake up close.
Very nice walk along the class 6 rapids. The churning of the water and size of the waves is amazing. There are lots of signs with interesting nuggets of information about the history of the area. Well worth the stop. Spend anywhere from 30 minutes on up depending on how slow you want to take it all in.
Best place to visit near water... great experience
The White Water Walk was a part of our Niagara Falls Adventure Pass and boy am I glad it was. This is something that I never would have thought about doing otherwise but Im glad I didnt miss out on it. Here youll ride an elevator down and youll get to walk on a boardwalk past some grade 6 rapids. This is self guided so you can spend as much or little time as you want down there and we spent a lot. Highly recommend.
Small walk way down by the rapids, the tike i went, the lower walk way platforms were closed off. A little disappointed at the size vs the price of the walk way. Its nice to appreciate the class 6 rapids and the information boards. IMO not a must do, but if you have the time, check it out!
Gorgeous view of the rapids from deep in the gorge. Covid friendly. Go on a day when the line is short and you wont regret it.
The walk was pretty nice, but it was just a bit shorter than expected, only a couple hundred meters.
A very cool boardwalk right by the falls! I was amazed at how fast the water is moving and there’s lots of places to take some photos down here.
It might be nice at the bottom, but if youre going to have a single small elevator, you need to expand the shaded waiting area or people will get heatstroke in the summer sun.
It was great! A little packed at the exit though considering COVID -19, but the place itself was great.
I loved it because there were no tourists around. Its phenomenal. A hidden gem
This is a must see place in Niagara. The sheer force of the rapids is amazing and I enjoyed it. Its as important as the fallsnin my opinion.
Really awesome nature walk down along the Niagara River. Well worth the short drive and small entry fee
I loved it because there were no tourists around. Its phenomenal. A hidden gem
A serene place to be... Such beautiful water and the sound which brings you near to nature
Absolutely amazing to witness. But its a short boardwalk for $16. If you are a large group it may be too pricey.
Peaceful walk along the Niagara River. You will see class 6 rapids. The power of the water is amazing. The whole trail is on a boardwalk. There is an elevator ride up/down to the trail and it seems very wheelchair friendly. The color of the water is unusual and its a great photo opportunity.
Such power! You can feel it!Very well kept. Very clean.Unlike the US side. Sad to say
Nature is always beautiful, no doubt, but this place is overprice, just for 10- 15 min walk and charge was 17$ + tax, we paid 60$+ for 2 adults and 2 kids,
Some of the most ferocious white water in the entire world!Rapids as large as houses!Magnificent sight of Mother Nature!
Nice river walk. Probably we went at a prime time and needed to wait around an hour to get in even though we had it scheduled. You will witness the power of the water with your eyes. Photos don’t do a good job to show it. Plan to spend 2-3 hours in case you need to wait.
Less crowded, hidden place from the regular niagra visitors
Its a nice little walk, but kinda pricey for what it is.
The walk isnt too long however the view is what you pay for and is amazing! The water is fast and a great spot for instaworthy pictures. The price is fair for what you get.
Loved the place. Went there during rainy day and it was so lovely.
A bit pricey, but the walk was very nice. Its short. I think it would be more worth it if the price was a bit less. But its a great walk!
