Very fun!!! A GREAT way to engage with my family all over the United States: Vermont, Massachusetts, California, Indiana, New York! The teacher was clear and calm. The breakout rooms were tons of fun. A great idea for ANYTIME with long distance family and friends! Thanks for an awesome event!

The Paint Bars virtual classes have been such a fun way to paint and connect with friends and family during these crazy times. My kids and I have signed up for many classes over the last couple of months, and have done a number of them remotely with friends, grandparents, aunts, nieces and nephews through the use of the breakout room feature. Its such a great distraction and were all so proud of the beautiful paintings were creating. I couldnt recommend it more!

This experience was so much fun. My amazing, beautiful step mom, set this up, for my oldest sisters birthday celebration. We all live far from each other,so this was a great way to connect. We were able to chat in a separate room with our group, which was great hearing laughter together, and seeing everyone together! The paintings were so fun. The teacher is so awesome. She .are instructions fun. Our family members would share to see what each other has painted so far. All the paintings turned out great! It was a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this to anyone of my friends and family.

The Paint Bar is doing a PHENOMENAL job creating virtual events! Ive always loved going to The Paint Bar with friends, and now the highlight of my quarantine experience was doing a virtual class with Jackie. They delivered my supplies the day before (I live in the area), created a virtual breakout room for my friends and I to paint together and chat between instructions. Painting with The Paint Bar is always a great time, and certainly continues during quarantine. So grateful to Jackie and Jody for creating some fun in these dark times!

We are beyond impressed by the virtual camp. My boys are having so much fun painting, creating. It is well organized and who doesnt love unicorn and rainbows! We also appreciate all the extra craft and ideas to do throughout the day/week. We often just leave the painting out all day and they will go back and add decoration and proudly show them off to all their stuffed animals.

This was a lot of fun, even in Zoom mode, on my own. I cant wait until I can go in person with my friends! The instructor gave good clear instructions and provided good feedback. Since I didnt participate with friend, I cant comment on what its like to be in a break-out room. But I can tell you the background music was perfect!

I wasnt sure what to expect, but the online class was fun and well-run. As much as I miss getting together in real life, I was happy to join this virtuak event with other people. And I liked having the breakout room with my friends to chat while we were painting. Also getting a video recording after so I can make touch ups is a nice feature.

This was such a wonderful Paint Bar experience to do in our home. It happened to be a rainy afternoon, and the time just flew by. My daughters really loved doing it at home. We love supporting the Paint Bar because they are essential to us and our Newton Community.

This place is fun!! Drink and Paint! You can get very creative here.We were there during the Halloween week and it was so much fun, a guided paint night with wine & beer.This is a great activity with friends, for couples, with family!Overall a good experience and a night to remember. They provide all the materials to do the job! Ambience is friendly and small so it feels private.

What an awesome virtual class! The instructor was excellent at explaining and keeping everyone engaged while fielding questions and able to navigate a large group of people. The class went seamlessly and Was so much fun and interactive. We DEFINITELY will do another!

This was an amazing experience. Youve done such a nice job setting up the Zoom breakout rooms and adapting your teaching style for a virtual audience. We loved it! It was a fantastic Mothers Day treat for my daughter and me.

LOVED the experience. We painted a doubles as a family (with 8/ 10 YO kids taking the lead) and it was wonderful. Instructors are engaging and encouraging, end results belie how simple the process is. Great job breaking the steps down so non-artists can feel accomplished when the process is complete!

So enjoyed attending the on-line version of the paint bar! The instruction via zoom was great, easy to see and follow along. No hesitation in the transmission, so it felt like you were one on one with the instructor. Will sign up for another class next week!

Jackie the instructor was great. The supplies arrived well ahead of time. There were ample supplies of paint provided, and the easel and canvas were very nice. The virtual class format worked well for me. It was actually nice to learn to paint at home. My one issue was a Zoom issue, whereby going back and forth between breakout rooms and the main room always caused the microphones to mute. Having to unmute while painting was annoying.This is a great way to spend a few hours, and could also work great as a team/company activity.Nice job Paint Bar!

This was my very first time painting.. I was invited by my daughter and grand daughter to join them...I really amazed myself with what I accomplished. The instructions were great. I would love to do this again.

The Online Hydrangeas by the Sea class was the perfect quarantine date night! The staff is super knowledgeable and entertaining. We ordered 2 Starter Kits that had EVERYTHING we needed for the class, delivered right to our door! Cant beat it!

The teacher was very nice. I like making the background . cant wait to put it in my room.

We had a great time, the use of the break out rooms was brilliant and allowed me socialize with my family and friends also participating in the class. Plus they make it so easy for everyone; like provide options for all materials to be delivered.

LOVE that they’re now offering virtual classes. Had a blast painting a beautiful sunset last night with some friends. It’s an amazing way to stay in touch and do something fine while in quarantine and the owners are awesome. Thank you for a fun night!

This was my second paint class with Paint Bar. Everything about this company is fantastic, starting with Jody in customer service and ending with our instructor. Love the painting we did, the ability to separate into rooms with my group, and how much fun our instructor made it. They even deliver materials! Im already looking at the calendar for my next class.

This was my first time ever going to a paint and sip. I went with some friends for my birthday and we all really enjoyed it. You dont have to be good at painting for it to be fun plus your art is a great souvenir of your experience. The host was great and super energetic, which made things even better. I was afraid my 21st birthday was going to be boring since it was on a Wednesday, which was literally right in the middle of the work/school week, but we all had an amazing time and I was given an extra free glass of wine!

Excellent experience! I was able to paint with friends from multiple different states! Even when we are able to be back in the classroom, I hope that you keep a virtual option available every now and then!

I had not painted anything since a high school art class when I was 12 years old (before focusing on science subjects at school and ultimately for a career). That was 56 years ago. I had a LOT of fun, it was at a good pace, and I suspect I shall be doing more painting!!!!

This was our second Time doing an on line class and this time we did it with our grandmother in FL which was extra special. The break out room worked perfectly and was as close as we could have gotten to actually being together. Thank you for all your hard work in making this happen!

My daughters loved their virtual camp with The Paint Bar and were sitting, waiting, 15 minutes ahead of todays class, ready to go! Well worth it!

Kudos to the team at The Paintbar. They completely innovated their offering in such a way that has not diminished any of the fun atmosphere that you normally get in the studio. Did a zoom class with my daughter. It was so awesome. The supplies were delivered to our home. We were thrilled by being able to paint in the comfort of our own home and feel connected to others.

This class was so much fun! Jackie did a great job of explaining the painting and the breakout rooms were perfect to feel like I was painting with my family.

The sign up was easy, the supplies arrived in plenty of time and it was more fun to paint virtually than I expected. Now that I own the brushes and easel, I hope to do another painting soon.

I would highly recommend painting classes at The Paint Bar! So far, Ive participated in six painting classes, and there will be many more to come! As soon as I step inside the door, I feel so welcomed! Everyone who works there is super friendly!Even if you arent experienced in painting, you will walk out with a cool painting, since they demonstrates each step very clearly and make sure everyone is on board! They always encourage you to change colors and add other things to your painting if you would like. The atmosphere is always very warm, the teachers are very humorous and continuously remind you to have fun and be positive! In between steps, they let you paint while playing music and you can easily socialize with others around the table, which makes this place great if you are looking towards making new friends or inviting someone for a date. Its very refreshing to see so many different kinds of people in the same class, people of all ages!At the end of the class, its so interesting to look at everyone elses paintings. Even though everyone follows the same instructions, every canvas turns out unique!

My daughter, granddaughter and I participated in an online painting class and it was awesome. All the necessary materials arrived, about two hours before the class, at our individual homes then at a designated time we logged on for our class. So fun! Went for an abstract art night and it was a perfect combination of instruction and freedom. The bar has a good selection and there is a good atmosphere. Everyone was friendly. Will definitely be going back!

I love the Paint Bar and love the concept. Its always a good time and we always come home with a fun piece of art. I was mildly bummed, though, because the time listed on the website and in my receipt said 6:30 and be there 15 minutes early, but we didnt start until 7.

My family and I have been going to The Paint Bar for years well before the painting nights became a fad and more popular. Nothing beats it here though with the smaller groups, atmosphere, and personal touch. By far our favorite place to go for a fun outing!

The Paint Bars new mommy groups are SO MUCH FUN! I first attended the newborn group and later the 3-6 month old group and both of them have given me the support and confidence one needs when everything is new as a new mom. HeHe can answer all your baby related questions and Jackie is such a charismatic and fun person to be around and she makes you feel like you are doing great no matter what you may be struggling with with your new baby. As icing on the cake -- you get to make the cutest stuff for your little baby! I highly recommend these groups to any and all moms who are looking for a judgement free mommy group with lots of laughs and fun projects to bring home to the babys nursery!

Amazing every time. My kids love it, and I receive a terrific oil painting and craft that we all take pride in. The teachers are warm and attentive, too.

My friends and I love coming here for birthdays in our group!Its always such a fun time and the folks who work here are friendly and make a very comfortable and happy atmosphere.

Ive only done one other paint night, so my experience is limited; however, I really enjoyed this place. The staff was really friendly, and getting everything set up was a breeze. They had examples of the painting we were doing throughout the shop for people to see, they had a sheet in the back with the paint to tell you how much of each color to get for set up, and they did an intro to the brushes. Every step of the way they gave you a demonstration, which helps to see what they did to accomplish the look, but they also fully encourage everyone to make it their own piece of art. Dont like this color? Switch it up. Think there should be a boat in the water? Add one. They constantly reminded you to do the sides, if you wanted the gallery wrapped look, which can be easy to forget. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend them to someone interested in a paint night. Also you can buy some wine or beer.

I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting a place to paint, a really cool place, and 5-star worthy on its own. Instead, I came to an amazing place with great artwork and Anna was extremely kind and patient with all my questions! I really recommend this place to everyone who comes, and I especially loved Annas No Negativity policy, where you may not criticize your work or anyone elses. It was really helpful as a confidence boost. Without this I wouldnt have been able to do as well as Ive always been a bad artist and it turned out that all I need is to believe in myself and have others believe in me. I know this sounds cheesy but its true! I was amazed at how my artwork came out. Anna really taught me how to paint better and I recommend this place to ANYONE whether you are good at art or not. Im definitely coming back!

Fun environment and great idea for a date! I wish the instructors focused more on the technique of painting, instead of entertaining the crowd and chilling. Hard to learn how to paint from the class.

The drink selection was smaller than i expected but they did have snacks which was a pleasant surprise. I went her for a ladies night out with my cousins and we had a wonderful time. The instructor was funny and patient and great at what she did. I would definitely recommend this place. Its great for groups or even a date night (there were a few couples there)

I came here on a Friday night for a girls-night out with some people from work. I dont like painting, but I had a blast. Good music, plenty of beverages available for purchase, and the instructor was fantastic. The studio is definitely cramped, but it adds intimacy in a good way. Really, who cares after youre a few drinks in? The instructor made the painting easy, and I left with a pretty decent portrait. I recommend!

A fun, judgement-free place to take a painting class. I came here with some friends on a weekend after making reservations and had a pretty good time. Another piece of art to hang in my place was an added bonus!

Im incredibly disappointed that one of the owners appears to have a major misunderstanding of how most people arrive on Newbury St. There is not enough parking to sustain the foot traffic of Newbury St, plus the previously low parking prices encouraged people to crawl down the street and camp out for spaces, creating traffic and shortage of parking. When the city took a market approach to parking on Newbury, The Paint Bar -- to the detriment of the public -- decided to lobby against the citys efforts. They must not realize that a majority of customers are not, and cannot, arrive by parking on the street.
