It was peaceful & enjoyable to hear all the sounds of the wildlife & boats going into the harbor

Great place to crab with the fishing pole rigs and to fish. We have had good luck here.

Nice view, lots of parking available, and convenient pit toilets that were reasonably clean. No way to wash hands after.

Exceptional place for wandering during the day - but stay OFF the boulders! They can be extremely dangerous and people have died here. However, stick to areas off the boulders and youre fine. An incredible place to watch winter waves from your car. If you look up the Newport Oregon Coast Virtual Tour youll see even more details, including some beautiful romantic dock areas to hang out at night. Catching sight of wildlife like interesting birds or sea lions goofing around is also highly recommended.

This is a great place for nice views across the jetty, under the bridge and into the bay. In the afternoon sun great pictures can be had of the famous bridge. Best shots are at the end of the road looking back at the bridge.

A great place to hike many many various trails both paved and not. Also a great place to fish & crab. If you crab here, go at a low or minus tide with waders on or shorts so you can get low enough on the rocks to make sure your crab ring/trap doesnt get hung up on the rocks. Fishing here is easy and fun. You can catch anything from Sea Bass/Rock Fish to Lingcod & Greenling & everything in between. Great views as well. Ive been fishing, crabbing, hiking, and sandblasting (in 4x4s) here my whole life. Its a must visit when you come to Newport,Oregon. It gets a bit windy down there in the summer & winter (and spring & fall haha) but the trails are shielded from the wind quite well.

A great place to watch the fishing boats go by, the cormorants, gulls and ravens fly around and the water lap the rocks.

Every time I go there. I always tell the person Im with, that we are so lucky to live where we do. Newport is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I go there Bass Fishing Off The Jetty all the time. Excellent fishing

Great place to go birding for sea waterfowl. Lots of action with boats coming and going.

Beautiful place to take the family and walk. Love to do some fishing here too.

Good crabbing

Great birding spot: regularly attracts an interesting assemblage of gulls as well as the occasional rarity. Good place to set up a scope and scan the channel as well as the rocks of north jetty for rockpipers. Though I have yet to use it, there is a new bathroom adjacent to the parking lot - sure to be a vast improvement over the port-a-john. Path to the actual jetty has some largish gravel in a few places, and a bit of dune climbing is required to access the jetty rocks themselves. As always, use caution as I have seen the occasional wave pound those rocks.

I love the jetty, I go daily just to remind myself of the beauty all around us.

Skip the jetty and go to the wonderful park across the bridge.

Nice marina .Will be using this as a place to launch our 16 boat.

Had like 3 hrs here. Crossed the whole bay. Its really difficult and dangerous to reach the end but we made it! :)
