This is such a cute little opera house! I saw Senator Warren there, so I cant comment on how shows are there, but I love the how the historical elements are still intact!

Spectacular, quintessential, New England, village performance theater/hall/venue. Gorgeous solid wood balcony that wraps around 3 sides, plus theres two box seats sections in the balcony, complete with dark curtains! The stage was very well lit. [We attended a school Christmas/Holiday Concert.] This venue holds several annual events & many one time events, like a local school play or concert. Apparently, it is available for rentals, therefore, the options are pretty endless as to what sort of events people could have here (though Im certain theres a Restrictions clause!).Ive lived in the general area my entire life but somehow I had never been to the Newport Opera House in my previous 45 years, so it was exciting to see it for the 1st time & I was pleasantly surprised at how clean & shiny, and I was definitely impressed by the whole experience. Oh, I almost forgot -- the exterior of this quintessential New England village building is perfect: Solid red brick with an enormous clock tower for all the villagers to see! Just a perfect building in a perfect spot.
