Since 1972, the Environmental Nature Center has provided people of all ages with a visual and interactive learning experience. The 3.5-acre site features 15 different plant environments consisting of plants native to the state.On-site, you’ll find several nature trails passing through various habitats and ecosystems, including desert, marshlands, oak woodlands, and redwood forest. A butterfly habitat and Nature Museum are also on site.

I went to camp here my entire childhood during summer and then volunteered for a few years too. Its a beautiful place with great people who really care about the camp and those who visit. My passion for biology and love of nature definitely started here. Great for summer camp or just a little walk through the trails. My young cousins really liked coming here too.

Myself and my kids ages 6 to 12 loved it. Lovely forest area with stream (my kids could have spent all day saying pooh sticks or any other game) and mini museum with lots of little thing yo learn. Plus the butterfly farm, also small but with sweet butterfly coming to greet you. So happy we went yo thus hidden paradise.

This is a fabulous hidden gem for all ages! The trails are well preserved and feature native flora and fauna from ferns to worms and everything in between. A large flock of hawks can be spotted throughout the day as well as squirrels, rabbits, and insects galore! I highly recommend the various plant sales that differ depending on the season. If you have little ones in need of a hands-on experience engaging with nature, check out the camp opportunities, starting as early as age 3

Attending an Early Childhood conference. Beautiful location but can be a bit echo-y and loud in sound competition when there are guests nearby. Not that that is bad, just a challenge at times. Catered continental breakfast and salad/sandwich lunch was nice but basic. There is also a clear commitment to compostable/recyclable/reusable playes and cups! Im curious about the upcoming preschool being built too. Keep it up ENC!

This is a hidden gem in Newport Beach. In just a few acres, theyve created a sanctuary that offers desert, woodlands, and forest environment. There are trails, picnic tables, a butterfly enclosure and a small amphitheater. The ENC is a great place to go to relax and take your mind off lifes difficulties.
