Ive been living in this area for over 60 years and I have admire the tree for its history and what it has seen in over 300 years. Im disappointed the poor care or no care given by Newburgh to keep it alive..conserving history has always been at the bottom of Newburghs priorities...very unfortunate.

Small monument but if you drive around River road, Grand St and Susan dr you can see why Balmville is so beautiful . And think about how majestic the Balmville tree stood at one time in these picturesque settings.
