Great hike. Trails well maintained and parking was adequate in the lots. Good day to be outside social distancing!

Beautiful park. But I thought to leave a comment after seeing a shady looking man, just standing there by himself, as I was going for a walk. I saw him from afar and he saw me. I felt eery but kept going. I was thinking maybe he was standing there looking out at deer or a creek. When I walked passed him, I noticed there was nothing there; he was just standing there. After walking only about 5 feet passed him I turned around before I got deeper into the woods. I would most certainly go back to this beautiful park, but only with my boyfriend.

Middle Run Valley Nature Area holds a great deal of adventures for everyone to enjoy. The trails are well mapped on several Apps. Hiking fhd the trails would lead to a fun morning adventure. The ideal adventure at Middle Run is to Mountain Bike the trails. They have MTB trails setup for all levels of riders. In the Area, they have a small MTB course with banked and jumps built into the course. Over all the, the Middle Run Valley Natural Area is a must see and explore adventure location.

Had a beautiful time. I took the snow goose trail.they do have a big board at the entrance that shows the different trails ; how long they are etc. Went on my lunch break with my lil dog. Got a nice lil recording of baby birds. Which you could hear though out the hike at different places. That was really neat because i never heard baby birds sound like that. I only did half the trail . there is no parking fee. I do have a yearly pass to get into the state parks any way.

Great for mountain biking and hiking/running but very busy during the weekends. Not great for birding because of all the activity. The mountain bikers were all very respectful and polite, matter of fact, the best place Ive been for giving you a heads up they are coming and how many in the party. The trails are marked on the board at the trail head, but not very well marked on the trails. The birding trail is not marked at all on the board, and not on the City of Newark parks website map. You can find the birding map on Delaware nature society website in their brochure. Its a shame we missed the birding trail the first time because of this.

I throughly enjoyed my walk at Middle Run Valley Natural Area. There is obviously a determined effort to preserve this habitat! The trails were well marked - both in the forest as well as out in the fields - the small bridges aided in crossing the creek, and the dirt bike riders had what seemed to be an obstacle course of sorts. Upon exiting the forest, I found an array of wildflowers and honeysuckle and had the pleasure of meeting a couple of hawks.

While Im not a fan of the narrow residential road to get to the park, nor the long gravel road to get to the parking area, the park itself is great. We go running on the trails (Lenape to Mill Race to Snow Goose to Mountain Goat to Corkscrew), and the hills are great, the views are great, and there are lots of opportunities to do some extra movements and exercises. In addition, there is no hunting at this park, so its safe all winter. There are lots of trails and connectors available, so you can go a variety of routes.

Beautiful spot for hiking with dogs, BUT all of that beauty and fun wasnt worth it in the end for us. Every time Ive gone here Ive left with ticks on myself and my dog (who is on a preventative). Beware and be prepared/treat your clothing before coming here. It is really fun and pretty but BUGGY

Great place to go for a nice hike and enjoy nature. Just a heads up, be alert many bicyclist are in the path. They were all kind, but can sneak up on you. Also had to refer to All Trails app to make sure we stayed on the right path. We came across several others who got lost on the the trail. Not always clearly marked.

Remarkable, especially for the price (FREE). This is primarily mountain biking although there are some nice hikes. - There are some nasty biking climbs, terrain as whole in intermediate to advanced. -- I still think Fair Hill is the best place for mountain biking in the area, but I enjoy the trails here a lot.

Nice place with lots of bike/walk/run trails I think it’s part of White Clay Creek state park and if you want a a better trail map just download a bike app like Trailforks or something. There’s a bunch of smoothish single track trails not to many steep hills and even a skills park and pump track which you can find with Trailforks or leave a comment asking me and I’ll try and explain where to go.
