Quiet park located near the University of Delaware which lays kind of concealed from travelers. There are tennis courts, a small playground, a skating area and a few walking trails. All this make for a good place for an evening walk. Would recommend this place to people in and around the area.

This park is really high in biodiversity, including both plant and animal biodiveristy. I love it for birdwatching, and I have also used it as a seed source for ecological restoration projects, and inspiration for my plant website, bplant.org. There is an extensive wetland as well as several sections of mature floodplain forest. The park also spans two different soil types, and it is fascinating to see the differences in flora in the different areas of the park.

Great little skatepark and running/parcourse trail by the train tracks and UofD. Skatepark was fun but small without many street features.

I grew up in Newark and went to that park for about 4 years. I visited recently again after 10 years and its still just as beautiful.

The skatepark, tennis courts, playground, and basketball courts are great and there used to be so many people there every night. Besides the fact that the city of newark took away the picnic table, trash can, and the timer for the lights is constantly messed up its a great park

A great first park. Two small play structures are just routine, but it also has a section with some sculptures to climb on (porpoise, turtle, and some more abstract ones), a boardwalk over the wetland that is astonshingly beautiful at some times of year, and another bridge over a creek that frequently has frogs to view. Closer to the parking lot theres a small path thru the woods with some short bridges, plus tennis courts, basketball courts, skate parks, and a port-o-potty.

Nice trails around the park, and plenty of places to run. However, there is really only one playground structure for kids to play on. They do have a covered area and picnic tables nearby though.
