Amazing organization! Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, they work so very hard to bring the Jewish community together!

They said it! Awesome environment, so many people come to their weekly events, hundreds per year and thousands of people join - from different parts of the world. MJE is truly a melting part of what NY is all about in relation to Judaism and an epitome of the Jewish Community of the Upper West Side - very welcoming and spiritual home for everyone. The rabbis and their lectures are outstanding.

Really warm, welcoming Jewish community. Its a very open-minded modern orthodox Jewish community that is reaching out to unaffiliated Jews from all Jewish or with little or no Jewish background. There are all levels of observance and knowledge about Jewish rituals, customs and history. There are classes or learners services just about every day of the week. Just as important as the offerings, Rabbi Mark Wildes and his wife Jill have created a community that at its core is open to and welcoming to newcomers and those with much less Jewish connection - a city like NYC its tough to find actual community...

These guys are the greatest explainers of spiritual mysteries of life from a jewish perspective. And if you are from the right demographic and looking for a sincere spiritual person of the opposite gender it is a place to be.

MJE is an amazing community for Jewish people, and a great way to meet other Jewish people in a big city. Being someone who recently graduated college, I feel right at home here. The classes are super insightful and the shabbat meals are very welcoming. I would definitely recommend MJE :)

MJE has been a warm and friendly place to go to since my move to NYC. One of the things I love about it is that theres a no judgment feel to the place and there is always something fun and someone new to meet coming through their doors. Whether its one of their dinners, classes or happy hours(my personal favorite) or awesome trips out of town(I just went to their spring retreat in the beautiful Berkshires and had a blast), MJE has something for everyone as well as for people of all different levels of Jewish observance. Im truly glad I found this place since moving to the city on your own can be a bit overwhelming if you dont have some place warm and welcoming to go to like MJE
