Its a great place to visit. A nice young man was playing some John Lennon songs wonderful experience.
Didnt even notice it.Not even sure why people would even care about him.But everyone has their likes that differ from mine and I am fine with that.
John Lennon was a wonderful man with great musical talent. What happened to him was heartbreaking even after all these years. Visiting this memorial is a tribute to a great man in a great city by a lovely Strawberry Field, Central Park. Join us at the memorial and feel the freedom to dance, mourn, cry or sing.
There is always something to see here. Musicians perform, flowers are arranged, kids play, lovers canoodle ... it is worth a walk-through for the photo op.
Lovely area of central park that is not always seen. Great wooded walking trail from here to the north
I love john lennon but why isnt there a george harrison memorial because george was cooler
So nice out today great time
Dude beat his wife. In terms of the actual memorial itself, it had a lot of people and was a bit disappointing to my friend who liked to Beatles, and I agree too.
This memorial was really beautiful. It was packed with people when I went and it was so lovely to see that decades later John Lennon, and his belief in humanity, is still making an impact in people’s lives. There was someone playing a pretty bad rendition of “Imagine” while we were there, that was pretty upsetting—specially because it’s supposed to be a quiet area—other than that, everything else was really special.
Imagine, if was truly, the I knew as a kidEsp. NYC
Definitely a must see on any tour of NYC.
Very nice and serene place.
Cool chick named Cindy playing
A beautiful, historic memorial located in Central Park that you should see if you have extra time. A tragic event but one we shouldnt forget.
Beautiful park section.
Live music and lively people
Nice little memorial area. Lots of people around. A bit anticlimactic, to be honest. Worth a look for any Beatles or John Lennon fan though.
Great place

Very serene.
Learned a lot
Very touching and sadness
Very very crowded and lacking the requisite reverence. Also, of all the well developed gardens in central park, poor John Lennon got none of this. It is a simple tile mosaic on the ground with absolutely no strawberry fields or any other kind of fields for that matter. Also there was debris and fallen leaves scattered every where. Please please clean up this park attraction.
It was beautiful
A lot of people smoke weed
It is such a beautiful place, I remember I waited for some friends there and there was this man playing a few Beatles songs and when he played Imagine people around the place started to sing with him, it was such a beautiful experience that I would never forget, it felt so paceful and a momebt where we all were equal
Beautiful part of the park. Can be crowded, we went early at 830am and it was fine.
Interesting, peaceful, special place where people go to think, relax, or listen to others singing or playing the guitar. I only gave it 3 stars, though, because I found the mosaic to be very ordinary and not what I expected. Something less sullen-looking with a little more life and color would do a better job, in my opinion.
Located on the west side of Central Park, this is a beautiful and peaceful place. Its hard to imagine John Lennon was killed on west 72nd right in front of that wonderful old apartment building, the Dakota thirty-seven years ago now. The Imagine monument in the park is a very must place ti visit and sit.
Nice
A Beautiful Memorial !!!!
Memorable!
Love it
From my experience, its very difficult to get close or a good picture without other people being in the photo, but people were very kind and respective taking turns. I would suggest to sit on one of the surrounding benches and just people watch and listen to all the different languages being spoken. From what I understand, theres always someone around playing guitar and singing and there was a guy doing that while we were there. It makes it interesting and brings people together by singing.
Beautiful
There was barely anyone when I went to visit the John Lennon Memorial. The area felt very peaceful and quiet. I plan on bringing my family here soon.
Fantastic
Is a place to stay. Relaxing... Historic...
Great tribute to a great man
It was beautiful
Awesome memorial of John,,,, very crowded but I was able to get my pic of my foot,,, I was hoping there was more to see though,,,thank you!
It was neat to see but it wasn’t as magical as I’d thought it would be. If anything it made me sad, it reminded me that John was murdered. Love ya John
As many sights in NYC, it was packed with people pointing their cameras and trying to get their friends into the circle to snap a few shots...It is had to imagine that most of these people actually think about the significance of what they are taking pictures of...
A little crowded but a must for anyone that loves John and the Beatles.
A must visit, when in Central Park!! Across the street is the Dakota building, where John Lenon was kill. This walk must make us think about all the violence that surround us and the impact in our life, we dont want to live with Terri otro be afraid, we all want to live free and in peace. We are all the same and must help each other!! This the Lenon message, embrace it!
It’s a sad place to visit knowing what took place at the building but the imagine Mosaic is beautiful.
Simple memorial in beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately a large number of people were completely inconsiderate and did not treat it with the respect due - standing on and walking over the memorial, pushing others or being inappropriately loud.
If you liked John Lennon and the Beatles, its a nice place to see. Lots of people all the times, people playing imagine 24/24!!
Worth seeing 100%
A must-visit place if youre a Beatles fan. The atmosphere in the place is indescriptible, such a special place.
Beautiful park to walk and this space to rest and think .
RIP
Lots of people paying their respect. Some even hanging out playing Beatles songs on guitar!
I found this to be quite moving being a Beatles fan!
The scene at this mosaic is truly priceless.
If you are a the Beatles fan youll love it
This place can be very busy during tourist time (sunny weekends) but still worth checking out.
