Peridance is one of my favorite places to dance in the city! They have a lot of charm with nothing super fancy, but they get the job done with what matters and provide excellent dance training in a comfortable environment. Small studio feel with top-notch teachers who seem to really enjoy teaching. There are so many different classes for beginners to professional students, really a great place to dance for everyone. Also love and appreciate that they offer student discounts for college students - really makes classes more accessible for working students! Hope Peridance can start in person open classes soon!

Peridance is my favorite studio to dance at! There are many studios of different sizes and a lot of them are sprung marley floors, which is really good for your feet and jumping.The adult ballet classes are welcoming of all levels and the teachers are knowledgeable and very good at teaching. Everytime I go I learn something new. My favorite class there is Kats pointe classes. She is very good at teaching and is not shy about pointing out what you are doing wrong and how to improve it. The class consists of adults and children of all levels: long time adults looking to continue their craft, adults just starting out, and girls looking to get extra work in before their summer intensive auditions. Sometime, Kat invites male dancers to come and teaching us partnering work that you cant get anywhere else. In those partnering classes, shell teach you everything from how to work better in the center and how to not kick your partner when you do pirouettes. I highly recommend coming to Peridance and, if you are doing pointe, to come to Kats class!

The Global Summer Dance programme run by Peridance Centre has been a great success - of course it’s such a shame that Peridance Summer Intensive this year couldn’t take place in person in New York studios but the online version was very engaging and enabled students to still learn a lot. We are very grateful that Kaja could experience Peridance all the way from London. She loved it and enjoyed exploring such a great variety of dance styles. No doubt it helped her to grow as a dancer. Special thank you and mention goes to Kelly Voelpel, the Programme Co-ordination - Kelly made that experience special and personal, thank you for your support. Hopefully Kaja will have a chance to dance with Peridance in your fabulous studios in the future!!!!

Alison Cook Beatty Dance performed in APAP in 2013 and 2018, as well having our New York Season in both the Fall and Spring of 2018. We were so happy with Peridance we will be having our 2019 New York Fall Season, two weekend run, this November 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th with guest choreographers! We highly recommend the theater. The staff at Peridance is outstanding. The location couldn’t get any better, the lighting plot is absolutely beautiful which aids in a great video production. Our audience members gave wonderful feedback in terms of the comfort of the house and seating. As well as the dancers themselves enjoyed performing on the beautiful stage. We highly recommend renting the theater at Peridance for a performance, and the best thing is the price. For the quality they provide compared to other Manhattan theaters it is a great deal. It is a joy that they provide a space for dancers to perform in this way. Thank you Peridance!

Our son is his tenth year as a dancer. Weve experienced many studios and organizations: none come close to offer the mix of warmth and excellence that Peridance does. Its teachers seek high but realistic standards. They know when/who to push and how to keep the love of learning and dancing at the fore of their classes.

I majored in ballet in Korea, and I took a Peri dance class during my trip to America. The classes were so good in various curriculums that I wanted to study abroad in Peri dance. Thank you for providing me with a good class.I really want to go again.

Its amazing the variety of dance teachers in each dancestyle. one can profit so much and develop his techniques in those great technique-classes they have. also the community is very lovely! i really like going there !

I was able to focus on my studies without distractions. All the students are serious about their studies and the teachers are able to coach ALL levels. With focused study, you can really go from beginner to exceptional skill at Peri.

My go to ballet school when in Manila! I absolutely love the studio space, gives each dancer lots of room to move (especially in waltz and jumps). Teacher Perry is just amazing! She is very passionate as well :)

This is the first dance studio that Ive been to since I moved to New York. They have variety of classes from youth to adult, ballet to hip-hop that taught by talented dancers and artist. I appreciate their proficiency and hard work and highly recommend this place for people really love dance

I feel so lucky to have found Peridance for my daughter. She loves to dance and Peridance is a great school for any kid who has a passion for movement. The School at Peridance takes dance, posture, movement seriously and teaches lots of fundamentals which is great. They get to know each student and make recommendations based upon how to help them grow as dancers. And during the COVID shutdown, Peridance has moved so much to online so that my daughter could continue to connect with her dance community and grow as a dancer.

My daughter started ballet a month before the pandemic. From the beginning, the staff was terrific and very welcoming to my daughter, especially Kelly. Everyone is professional and kind.When we went on quarantine, it was halfway through her session. We emailed Kelly after the email was sent out about the new schedule and precautions, and told us we could get our session refund in classes. She was very kind and gave us lots of info about our options. You can find ballet equipment there at the studio, just in case you forget those ballet shoes at home, and the prices are not very pricey, but just enough. We will most definitely be returning for their classes this fall!

I used to go there twice a week before COVID to take African dance classes. The teachers there are definitely the best ones to follow as they give authentic moves and music. I wish reopen will happen soon!

My daughter dances here going on 6 years now. She started at age 7. She loves it and is still doing it remote during these cover times.

My 7yo daughter loves the classes here from ballet to modern to hip hop. They have done a remarkable job getting classes online and maintaining a sense of continuity, allowing my daughter to keep dancing while in lockdown. The staff always have been amazing and great at communicating.

An excellent studio that provides state of the art teachers & classes in a wide range of dance styles. During COVID-19, they have adapted to provide us classes online through a smooth registration process at an adjusted rate. Peridance is truly a staple for training.

My child was accepted to attend the summer camp there, I paid my money and canceled at the beginning of March well before camp was due to start. When I followed steps to request a refund I was told by Peridance I could not receive a refund due to the pandemic they did not have te funds to give back at this time. Peridance later said they offer online classes, as I told them we wasnt interested because thats not what I was paying for. No one from Peridance have gotten back with me since nor have I received my refund or attended any camp.

Peridance is one of my favorite go to studios in NYC. The facility is beautiful, the classes are diverse, and the teachers are wonderful!

Peridance is a world class dance studio and performance facility, easily accessible in the heart of Manhattan. Great teachers, friendly staff and a wide range of compelling classes make this a gem in the dance ecology of New York City.

Since the lockdown, Peridance hasnt failed to give us back to back virtual classes with professional teachers within/globally. I personally have enjoyed all the classes thoroughly even with little space at home. But I feel very grateful to the Peridance family for such hard work thats been put in and I do really appreciate their work. Also as an international student in their school, they have really taken care of us.

My daughter attended the Peridance Capezio Summer Dance Intensive program in 2019. First time in New York without me and it was a three week program. She stayed in residence and shared a dorm apartment with four other girls. Peridance provided a RA, for trips back and forth to the studio and outings. I was apprehensive at first, but then I spoke with Rachel, from the Peridance facility. She eased my worries and ensured that all the dancers would be well cared for. My daughter left Peridance with a greater level of confidence. She was excited to get back to her home dance studio to start implementing everything she was taught. She came home knowing that she wants to be a dancer, without a doubt. Her experience at Peridance was phenomenal and the personal insights she gained is something that can not be measured. If you have the chance to send your dancer to this summer intensive do it, it is so worth it!

Our 4 year old had a fantastic experience this year, despite COVID interrupting it. She cant wait to get back and get to experience a recital sometime hopefully soon!

I love Peridance and all the teachers I’ve had here have all been so unique and amazing. I’ve gotten so much from this school and they’ve also been really good during quarentine.

Peridance is able to create community and to offer such a various and high level classes. We also all appreciate all the opportunities it is still offering during COVID-19.

The set up of the theater is very convenient for dancers to be able to warm up in a studio and then perform in the theater. The staff they have for shows is second to none! Peridance is superb among dance studios in NYC for professional training. They have a wonderful work study program to learn the background of the dance world, a wide variety of classes starting at 7am and ending late in the evening (even on a Saturday night,) and a warm community of dancers, choreographers, musicians, teachers, students, kids.You’re bound to meet someone new or run into a long time friend in the halls. I highly recommend taking class and studying at Peridance.

Best dance school in NYC!

The Center has something for every age and level of experience. My 2 year old daughter loves going to dance class at Peridance and has learned so much already. She loves to show off her new dance moves and is so proud of herself. Its been a truly wonderful experience for our entire family!

My experience at Peridance is incredible every single time I go. One of my most memorable times was when I volunteered at the 35th Gala and made friends with artist I will be friends with for the rest of my life. As far as the dance education there they have the worlds best teachers training you. Therefore, its only a matter of time before you become one of the greats yourself. My daughter has been taking tap at Peridance since she was 5 and is now 15 in the Core program (ballet, jazz, modern)—she loves her excellent and supportive teachers and fellow dancers. She is looking forward to being back in the studio, of course, but she is still learning and developing as a dancer taking classes over Zoom; her teachers attend to technique, artistry and their students’ emotional lives, which I really appreciate. Peridance is fantastic!

Bad location, no parking. One evening, after my daughters classes ended and we returned to our parked car, some psycho came right up to our car and purposely key scratched the car right in front of our eyes.Like I said - bad location.

My daughter travels from Brooklyn to take ballet and modern classes at Peridance. We love the variety of styles, ages, and diversity among students and faculty. It’s rigorous without being stuffy.

My daughter was in the Senior Youth Ensemble and she experienced tremendous growth as a dancer. Now, she will be in the Blueprint this summer. I also took adult classes in yoga and contemporary. The people are nice and super professional. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I love this place! Great service from the front desk to the instructors! I took a vouging class with the QUEEN MOTHER LEIOMY. She was so helpful, and she made sure my form was on point. I definitely recommend this place!

Peridance has a range of classes all taught by dynamic and energetic teachers. The studios are spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. Mixed level classes provide a great opportunity for less experienced students to learn from their more seasoned peers.

Started learning Ballet here recently and I must say, it has been a great school to learn at, from some of the best teachers in New York. Lot of open classes, great staff, nice classrooms, great facility with changing rooms and a small cafe.
