Iconic theater on the Upper West Side of NYC. I saw Steely Dan here, as well as Joe Bonnamassa. I also attended the Love Rocks NYC benefit show in 2019. There isnt a bad seat in the house, and the theater itself is beautiful! Friendly staff, a great diner on the corner, and close parking make any show at the Beacon a night to remember!

First time going there located in the Upper Westside. Absolutely love the elegant, classy exterior. Very tastefully decorated, three tiered theatre, seats over 2000, the stage is well designed you can get a great view wherever you are sitting. There are concession stands for snacks, soft drinks, bottled water situated in the lobby, Loge and balcony areas. Alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer and spirits available as well.Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Will definitely go back!

Nice place to watch a show. Went for the first time on 7/23/19 to see Godsmack. The theater itself is very aesthetically pleasing. Security was very accommodating and all the staff were nice. We had a tour of the stage and dressing rooms before the show and got to see parts of the venue usually not seen by the general public. Had front row seats which is the only way Ill see a concert anymore. I would go back for sure.

Beautiful theater. The seats are a little tight for wider guys like myself but I still found them comfortable. They also had plenty of beverage stations on each floor to keep the lines short. We saw Seinfeld there and the acoustics were great. I would definitely recommend going just to see the interior. It is a style that would be hard to replicate today.

Just wow. This venue never ceases to amaze me. There is a special experience that comes with seeing performances here. As a life long Jerry Seinfeld fan, I have seen him play shows in this venue countless times. This is a special and intimate place that offers something much different than many larger venues. I believe ultimately this is why Jerry loves this venue, and calls it home.

This theater is very beautiful. The shows are outstanding. A huge social media haven for those who have to share everything because they allow video and photography so long as the talent does not object.Security tries to stop people from going to the front but allows them to go and take pictures here and there. Thankfully not too many people chose to leave their seats and go to the front to take pictures. We saw four shows at this theater. Every show was outstanding! The bathroom was clean and the attendant very polite. They have two bars for people who cant have fun without a drink in hand. They also have popcorn on the lower floor! Its a movie goers haven also I guess.Cant wait to see other shows here.

Beautiful theater on the upper west side of Manhattan. This medium sized theater holds just under 2900 people at mac capacity. It is one of the East Coasts premier music and live entertainment venues. Ample staff were positioned everywhere throughout the theater to assist patrons. Multiple snack and drink bars are located on each floor. The views from all the seats are very good, even in the last rows. The theater is kept very clean and the multi-million renovation of this Greco Roman style theater is evident. If youve never been, you really should see a show in this landmark venue, its bucket list worthy.

The Beacon theatre is a great place to see a show. Almost every seat has a great view of the stage. The loge and balcony seats are close enough to feel a part of the show.Acoustics and lighting in the theatre are excellent. The theatre is a great place to listen to all different styles of music. Ive watched everything from Tori Amos to Elvis Costello with the Charles Mingus orchestra to Def Leppard and most recently Jackson Browne at the theatre. The Govt Mule show at New Years is not to be missed. The theatre decor is lovely and a step back in time to the 1930s with a beautiful color scheme, chandeliers and wall decorations. Review №54

Incredible theater with a Grecian decor and design. Tight seating with very little elbow room and a lot of seats. Historic and amazing, definitely try to see a show here if you can. The only major problem, and it is significant considering the seating capacity, is that there is only 1 mens restroom in the entire theater and its on the 3rd tier seating level. So if youre only the first floor for orchestra seating, during show intermission, you need to go all the way to the top floor and wait in an insanely long line, just to take a piss.... Someone seriously needs to look into the problems with these logistics.

Br
Review №55

Long considered among the top live music venues in New York City, the Beacon Theatre has undergone a number of renovations and management changes over the years, which has mostly resulted in improvements. If youre ticketed in the orchestra section, you will want to make sure you seat is in front of the overhang for optimal sound. Sound in the loge can be a mixed bag because of the compressed space with an overhang above. The balcony sound is usually excellent. If this is a concert where the audience stands, chances are, that will only be happening on the orchestra level, as the loge and balcony tend to be for sitters only. The bathrooms are located in the basement and tend to have lengthy lines at setbreak, so take care of business early!

The Beacon is an absolutely beautiful, old venue in Manhattan. It sounds amazing, as well. Its truly a stunning experience to witness a show here. I wish I could say there isnt a bad seat in the house, but be aware, the upper balcony, and the orchestra behind the soundboard are less than ideal spaces.

Beautiful historic theater with amazing decor, clear sight lines from all seating levels, and solid sound system and natural acoustics - in recent show, the artist did a song with no mic from front of stage and we could hear clearly from front of loge and seemed people in other sections could also. Easy access from subway at 79th street. Restrooms on main floor and third level - theyre a bit cramped, and sorry ladies, usually a line.

What can you say about the Beacon? Its an institution for a reason. Its historic but modern, cozy yet expansive, intimate and massive, and intimidating and inviting. The sight lines are great and the acoustics are amazing. And most importantly, Ive seen 25 or more shows at this venue and not one wished it was somewhere else. A great place to see shows and I cant be more happy when I get a chance to see a band or performer there. Awesome. BTW we love the fact Govt Mule is the regular new years gig at the Beacon. The only reason you spend that $ is to physically see Seinfeld, but almost no one in my area had a clear view of him.
