My seat was great. A lot of the performers seemed to speaking directly to me. Plus, I had room to stretch my legs. The best part was the question and answer period after the show. I have never experienced that type of interaction with a theater cast. Great job being interpersonal and authentic. Please see A Soldiers Play.
We saw A Soldiers Play headlining David Alan Grier and Blair Underwood. Since we came in out of the rain with umbrellas, the theater offered plastic umbrella bags. Check in was easy, and seating was also easy. We were in the upstairs mezzanine (stair and elevator access) in the middle. So we excused ourselves about 21 times to get to our seats. Excellent view of the stage. All actors projected their voices well. The theater seating allows one to be close to the stage to enjoy the facial expressions of each actor.
Its a good theater, if a bit dated. Sat in the middle of an aisle, 16 seats either direction. Dont drink before the show. Acoustics were fine. Good performances....
The theaters seating was good. There was enough knee room. The decor was pleasant. I felt the sound system could have been better.Overall it was a pleasant experience
I saw a Soldiers Play and it was so moving and well acted. So blessed to have been able to be in their presence. I love me some theater.
Lovely theater with a 5th floor penthouse and a lower level lounge. Smaller and more intimate located a 1/2 block from the Port Authority on 42nd street. Near Times Square. We saw A Soldiers Play by the Roundabout Theater. Excellent play, excellent theater. The night we went there was a talk before the play that was very insightful.
First time visiting this theatre and it is quite beautiful. I loved the layout and design. We had seats in the upper right mezzanine but I still felt very comfortable and had a good view. The intricate details along the ceiling were impressive. Staff was courteous and helpful. Bathroom near top floor was only one stall so I think they should remodel to fit more. I had to walk down a couple flights of stairs to get to the bottom level bathrooms. There are elevators but they were too packed.
A Soldiers Play was exceptional!!! Blair, Greer, and other performers did not disappoint... above and beyond my expectations. Would give 10 stars if I could!!! Thank you for a great afternoon in the City.
Saw A Soldiers Play there! It was a great show. Seats are a bit cramped but overall nice theater. The staff was very pleasant.
I went to see Jerry O in Solders play. WONDERFUL! Had a great great time.
Great leg room with the seating, elevators and multiple bathrooms for convenience. And saw a magnificent show to boot!
We purchased tickets for persons with disabilities and the seats were so tight. He was unable to sit for the entire show. THANKFULLY one of the ushers gave him a folding chair and he was able to watch.
Our favorite spot for theater. The most beautiful plays are performed here. Not a bad seat in the house.
I was a student doing a play and this place was great. They had been really nice and helpful. And as students we get to see the rose tattoo for free. This has been a great experience for me.
A Soldiers Play was very moving. Nice theater. Not a bad seat anywhere!
Comfortable seats + good views. And today, an excellent play. A Soldiers Story.
Went to see the Soldier Story at the American Airlines Theatre. It was wonderful. There was an standing ovation for the cast of performers
This theater is a great place to see a show. The seating is comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Guess it depends on the show if you have a good time but the facilities are nice the staff is friendly and the Roundabout does great theater!
Great place for a evening play. Clean bar and light conversation with staff makes the theater easier to enjoy
The show was great from what I saw, but I had a partial view seat. Discounted of course, but it really was an almost no view seat!. I had to stand the whole time to see anything at all. That was very disappointing. I would not have paid for that seat if I knew. I have purchased partial view seats before, but could always see 75% of the stage. I could see nothing from this theatres partial view, and Im tall!
Saw Rose Tattoo there. Play was good. Theatre is small so seats were good. Enjoyed it.
Small theater but we had good seats & the bathroom had more stalls than many theater bathrooms!
This theater was poorly design. Our seats are on the second floor its long narrow rose that can only be entered from each end! Ugh... NIGHTMARE. Also the seats are so close together and theres absolutely no leg room. By the intermission my knees and ankle were in such pain I couldnt wait for the opportunity to stand up straight
Lovely performance space with comfortable seating and great viewing angles and ample, clean womens bathrooms.
Great seating. Actually larger seats & leg room then other stage theatres in NYC.
Soldiers play was phenomenal!Loved this theater
Excellent lighting and sound. Comfortable seats, in a truly glorious setting, reminiscent of the 1920s
The theater was great. Very comfortable and not a bad seat in the house.
Main theater for the Roundabout Theater Company. A classic old Broadway theater home to some of the best theater productions in New York.
Pretty theater. Sat in front row of mezzanine and actually had some leg room.
Cutest little theater ever. The sound was incredible!
Really good play. Comfortable seats.
Went to see A Soldiers Story and it was phenomenal!
This theater showcases some grest plays. Roundabout Theater company mounts their plays here as well as other venues.
Small theater saw The Rose Tattoo with Marisa Tomei - wonderful afternoon - great performance
Great place for theater. Right on The Deuce!
Nice theater. Easy hiking and out. Friendly staff.
Love it the place is clean and the people are friendly and very professional
Pretty theater. Comfortable seating. Good acoustic
Beautiful theater, nice lounge on 5th floor to wait in before the show starts
I enjoyed the play and the work a lot. The ushers were terrific.Having one long very long aisle way I have never liked. And it stops me from coming there as often as Id like. For one thing, God forbid, if theres ever a fire to get through the aisle way would be impossible. Im sure you have something to help with that. But, also every time someone gets up to go to the bathroom they have to go through a really long way and lots of people that have to stand up over and over again. And when people are just being seated and then again at intermission its nonstop up and down to let people go by.I have a bad back and standing up over and over again was ridiculous. But everything else was fine.
Theatre was nice but seemed small compared to others I had been in.
The show was amazing and the restrooms clean and well kept.
A wonderful theater and the staff was friendly, professional, and efficient.
Good visualization from my seat and very convenient location
Amazing theater staging amazing plays. All My Sons was phenomenal.
Easy access for wheelchair and staff were very accomodating!
Loved loved loved the show. Great cast, superb explanation & background chat before the show & powerful play. Thank you Mr Miller & Ms Bening. Perfect evening !
Beautiful theatre with clear views of the stage from nearly every seat in the house.
One of the original legitimate Broadway theaters on 42nd Street. Totally restored. Does many top name Broadway shows.
Every seat is a good seat. Beautiful, small, central location, clean, comfortable.
Saw Bernhardt/Hamlet. Show was AWESOME! The seats were actually comfortable. I used the hearing assistance device. Worked great. Professional, friendly staff. All around a great experience. Im coming back.
Seats were uncomfortable. Need to be upgraded
A Soldiers play was good.
Nice theater but there are bars in every row of the mezzanine. If youre short this is a problem if you sit in the first row.
Saw Book of Mormon here, it was amazing. The stage and theatre is not massive so you can get a really good view. We sat in right orchestra 3rd row, which was awesome. Youre off to the side but its cheaper and you get to see the actors faces.
Good Seating Play great A Soldiers Play
Soldiers Story was a very good play.
A Soldiers Play was great!!
Wow, what a find? Five (5) stories of wonderfulment, yet a lovely, small, and quaint venue. The fifth floor in particular is a great event space, with small bar, where many pre-performance lectures are held. $$ out of $$$$$ using the TixToday (or similar App). I would recommend the American Airlines Theatre.
The largest of the Roundabout Theater Companys three stages, three American Airlines Theatre is a beautifully restored place, and an excellent place to see a play. The sightlines and sound are good, the little lounge upstairs is nice. Maybe a bit better food options would be a plus. Otherwise, all good.
Very quaint theatre. All seats were good and surprisingly roomy.
A beautiful theater. Play was great.
Pretty theater. Clean bathrooms.
Not a bad seat in the house.
Small. All seats are good
Came here for a Roundabout show and was really pleased. I was in the third-to-last row and still had an excellent view – each row is quite a bit higher than the one in front of it so there’s no risk of not being able to see if you’re behind a tall person. The leg room is quite decent too.
Very nice classic theater right in time square. Beautiful high ceilings. Seating is tight but reasonable.
The play, a Soldiers Story was great!
Love this theatre. Every show is a winner.
I just saw Tom Stoppards Travesties here. I thought the place is huge, and we were seated somewhere at the orchestra near the stage. Nice, huge performance space. And I was happy they had the exit doors opened right after the show was over. Were on the street as quickly as possible.
Beautiful theatre. Seats gave an unobstructed view of the stage (as a short person, this was important to me!)
Seats are tight if your over 6 feet no leg room
No surprises. No complaints. Its a big brasserie. Decent food, indifferent staff by necessity. Perfect for apres theater.
Its a Broadway theatre, whats not to like? Its relatively small, and offers a good view of the stage from almost every seat in the house.
Janet Mcterre is the living legendary tragedian actress of 21st century! I am in love with her and if you are not yet, you will be when you see the show!
Besides loving the show, theatre had wonderful place to wait upstairs. Cant wait to return.
Saw Roundabouts production of All My Sons, with Tracy Letts and Annette Benning. Excellent.
