The sound is perfect, just the right size, clean & plentiful bathroom facilities and just an overall great experience! Cant say enough nice things about the staff. From the Box Office, the Security to the Support Staff. All professionals. All polite as can be. Ready to help and assist at any moment.

My only visit here was for the sumo matches and I thought it was a nice facility. Lighting was low and it was a little difficult to find my way around but the seat was comfortable and we had a nice evening. Its located near everything, so it fit well into our plans in the city that night.

PlayStation Theater is a great venue! I like that its tiered so you can see the stage even if youre farther back in the crowd, and they also have TVs set up hanging from the ceiling so you can watch from the seats in the back as well. It was a perfect sized venue for the concert I went to. The drinks are a little pricey, but thats true anywhere you go to a show in my experience, so it didnt put me off the venue. They also sell fresh pizza by the outside bar. The restrooms were super clean as well.

I saw the dirty heads here and it was amazing, of course the music is going to sway me a little but in all honesty this is a beautiful venue and the bars are close to seating so its not a pain to get drinks and the foot traffic getting in and out was tolerable no funneling or absurd crowds. I will definitely be revisiting this venue

I had never been to the PlayStation Theater before to see a concert and I was really looking forward to it. Well I have to say that I will be back to see another concert really soon as it was just flat out incredible to see a concert there. The venue is very modern and layed out perfectly. They serve alcohol as well. The acoustics were amazing and the bands I saw had excellent sound quality and you could hear every note from every instrument. I saw Kamelot and they blew my mind because of the atmosphere and sound quality. You must see a band that you like there if you havent been to the PlayStation Theater yet. You will be amazed.

2100 capacity theater right in Times Square. It is divided into two sections with a large standing room orchestra section and seats in the back. They also have VIP areas that are above the orchestra on both sides. The seats are not reserved so the earlier you get there the better your options will be. There are several bars in the lobby of the theater. Drink prices are on the high side. I think I paid $25 for a double vodka. They also sell pizza which is pretty flavorless but if youre drunk enough its not that bad. I have seen several shows here and always had a good time. Its too bad they are scheduled to close it down after a final show on 12/31/19. Hopefully it will reopen under a new name. It was previously known as the Nokia Theatre Times Square and the Best Buy Theater so hopefully another company will step in and keep this place open.

Saw Sailor Moon Super Live!! I have never been so hyped in my life! The theatre was well organized, clean, very little confusion as to where to go. The show did not allow and photography or videotaping might be different for other shows. The staff were all friendly and helpful. No food in the venue. There is a metal detector you need to pass through to come in.

Came here on the 2nd of November for Sabaton and Hammerfall. I was very confused how lining up worked because they had us entering through the theatre next door, but the issue was quickly resolved. The setup otherwise was quick and easy. The layout of the building was very convenient and easy to figure out, and I loved the hall itself. Wide with two open spaces, it felt roomy even though it was completely packed. I only give three stars just because metal concerts will no longer be held there. I would have loved to return there in the future, I cant see myself returning for anything else.

This is my favorite concert theater in all of NYC. Easy to get to by train. If you like standing and moshing, theres a section for you. If you like just standing, theres a section above/behind the moshing crowd. And if you like sitting down, theres seats in the back above the two other sections. If you need a break, theres tons of room to roam outside the concert area. Big hallways with places to relax, grab food/drink, or go to the bathroom.

Small venue! Which is good for some events, a challenge for others. Actually had difficulty finding the place -- luckily a very kind stranger overheard me trying to ask a street vendor where it was and pointed me in the right direction. If you sit too far back (like I did, seated in the very last row) the ceiling partially obscures the stage. I wont ever buy cheap tickets again...Best part of this place? The staff, actually. I dont know if they work there all the time or are hired-out, but they were fantastic. All in all, fine. Not too many complaints.

Ar
Review №34

The staff at PlayStation Theater are always very nice and efficient with events but my major complaint is the layout of the venue. The venue does not encourage concert goers to stand up because of the layout. People just naturally sit and stay seated, most of which you wouldnt want for any fun concert.

I attended concert here for the first time last month. This is a wonderful place to see a fairly intimate show. I went to the We Are Two Different People Tour with my best friend, and the entire experience was amazing. The show was spectacular, the lighting on point, and there was a glitch. The screen in the back of the stage... glitched and showed a Windows background. The chairs (at least in the front) were fold up chairs though, so it was slightly uncomfortable. The theater was kind of chilly, but otherwise, it was still a great experience.

Had a really great time seeing Sabaton and Hammerfall! Waited outside for a while, had to go through the security. Make sure to read the rules about what to bring (they have rules against certain bags, can’t bring any balloons- if you wanted to tie yourself to be easier to find, just certain things they don’t allow). Not a bad size, wouldn’t mind going there again. Then again, only loved it because of Sabaton and Hammerfall but the place wasn’t bad, bathrooms were clean as well as the entire place. It was a standing concert but there was seats in the back which is nice for those who would like to sit down or can’t stand too long. Parking in NYC isn’t fun, so try to take the train/bus.

Saw zion.t on March 16th. It was a great experience. The performance was very well done and the music had great clarity. However, I was seated in the orchestra area which is completely flat all the way up to the stage Therefore, it was difficult to see because everyones heads in front of me were the same height as mine. Zion.t was blocked most of the time by heads. The picture below was taken before two tall people sat in the seats right in front of me! If youre looking for a better view than this, youll want to splurge a little more for better seats. And the people sitting next to me were so close they hit me with their light stick on multiple occasions. I was sitting towards the back of the orchestra section. Despite not being able to see half the time and being hit on the head, I still enjoyed the show because zion.t sounded wonderful.

Absolutely incredible service. We bought GA tickets for the Day6 show because the tickets came with the opportunity to meet the band afterwards but I have scoliosis and cannot stand for a full 2 hour show. I was worried that having an invisible disability would prevent me from being able to use the accessible seating but Sebastian and Russell were so, so helpful. Sebastian provided me with a chair OUTSIDE the venue so that I could sit before doors opened. Russell was a rockstar. He escorted me to the accessible seating area, got me and my guest chairs, checked on us multiple times throughout the show and even helped us get water when the venue got warm. Ive been to 20+ concerts and have never been treated so well. The venue itself is small but very clean and well-run. Every staff member was warm and courteous. I hope more K-Pop artists play at the PlayStation Theater because I would love to return. Huge thank you to Sebastian and Russel for making what could have been a very painful experience into something comfortable and pleasant!
