We went to Richey Suncoast Theatre to do a ghost hunt with the P.R.O.O.F. team. The thing that freaked me out the most was when my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed on the theatres stage! This is an awesome, beautiful theatre and now I love it even more!

SAGES production about scams was humorous and informative. What a great cast!!! They were all so likable. Youd want to be friends with them all.

I love this place. Melissa and Monica are both so welcome and inviting to everyone. Oh, and the productions! I saw Carrie, The Musical. Now, like it or not, we had this cult classic performed right here in our little town.Last night, I went to see the Lavender Scare and the writer of the book was there and answered questions after. They are very diverse. I believe they are even having a Christian Jazz group soon.FOR PLUS SIZE FOLKS: So, I am a bigger girl and I always worry about seating. The seats are very comfy and the atmosphere of the theatre is amazing. If you are disabled, able bodied, shy, fat, skinny, black, white, gay, straight... I can guarantee that the folks here will do there best so that you may enjoy the theatre and if you have an issue or concern, just call them. They ROCK!!!

Went to go see a friend who performed in a musical called Freaky Friday. It was a great experience! Great play, great theater, nice people! I recommend attending this theater!

We saw Carrie the musical and it was really well done. The quality of acting and singing was excellent and if you buy tickets online, you can skip the line as well as choose your seats. We had a great time.

Great theatre and performers are awesome. So happy this place offers productions and locals really make the place. Shakespeare was great and cant wait till holiday shows begin.

I was disappointed. Our son gave us what was equal to two people, two shows, fo Christmas. As we are snow birds, we had to get two shows quick ly. One day before our first show, we found out it was cancelled As we leave FL first part of April, this year r it looks like we wont get in second show. They would not give us refund, Eve when they cancelled, not us.. As I have served many years on theater board in my home town,, I find this unusual and not fair, or enticing for other seniors to visit a show here.

Quaint little theatre.

As an arts venue, the theatre is well appointed for a small, family owned operation. The talent is usually not bad, if not well known. Ive been three times, one was really good, one was fun, if just ok, and one left something to be desired. Still, NPR is lucky to have an arts venue and it is very much worth supporting.

Was taken there as a birthday gift, and enjoyed it very much. Its a small intimate theater, and a nice diversion in New Port Richey. I wish we had more culture in the area. At least we have the theater!

For such a small theater we honestly did not expect much. But what a great surprise. The story was excellent. The actors were very good. The costumes and stage, etc were very good. If we are ever in the area again I would definitely go back.

We have been here several times, always a great experience. Small but beautiful old theater in downtown New Port Richey, great local talent performing on a volunteer basis. Typical ticket is $20.00 and worth every penny. We highly recommend you attend one of their performances.

If you have allergies, this probably isnt the place for you. Looks nice inside and everything, but it smells funny.

Terrific community theatre. Wonderful building.

I bought 6 tickets to see this performance and I have to say how deeply disappointed we all were.First of all, we had tickets for the 3 in the back row K and 3 in row J because my mother is in a wheelchair. Well, needless to say, we were quite surprised when her chair wasnt level due to the slant of the floor and her wheelchair was pitched forward and she kept sliding out. Whats up with that? Certainly uncomfortable not only for her but all of us since we were concerned about her well being.Secondly, why is it necessary to have the background music so LOUD that it drowns out every performer? That volume was uncalled and unacceptable. I also felt that way about the comedy we saw earlier, If a Man Answers. The background music/sound was actually blaring and impossible to hear what was going on and we were in row C!Thirdly, I was stunned at how bad the RAT PACK performance was especially with all the hype. In fact we disliked it so much we left at intermission. Which, may I say, was a feat in itself especially with a wheelchair! It was impossible to get out of there.Lastly, I dont understand such disorganization at intermission. A total disaster and a safety hazard. People were coming and going, in and out all doors, just a cluster ****. If you would allow people to take drinks or beverages to their seats, maybe there wouldnt be such a mad rush to the lobby. Maybe if they got a beverage before they went in they wouldnt all be trying to get out at the same time and theyd be happy to stay seated.I almost bought season tickets when I arrived but Im glad I waited. I cant express enough how unhappy we all were and embarrassed I was. I treated my family to this event and it was a big let down.

Saw Addams Family here. Really great venue. Be prepared to bring cash if you want to utilize the snack bar.

A historic place to go enjoy a show for a reasonable price. They are usually closed over the summer but there is a great variety of different shows throughout the year.The theater also greatly supports the local community and its youth and is a fantastic anchor for the downtown community.

Wow, my family and I just saw the Adams Family musical and it did not dissapoint. what a beautiful theater. to the guy who left the comment suggesting that place needs cleaning, you are wrong sir. thats how a historical theater is supposed to smell and the place is immaculately clean. I cannot believe that they dont use paid actors, the volunteers are in a league of their own. We met the director, she was so kind to my four year old daughter. this was her first experience seeing a play and being in a historical theater made the experience all the greater. We also met the actors after the play and they were so nice and courteous. I suggest you look at line up for next year, find a few shows youd like to see and support our local theater, alittle culture is never bad for anyone and you will be proud to see our local talent. Dont forget to dress up nice, its not required but come on people it is the theater.

Small but historic theater. Many coming events,I enjoyed a symphonic band concert yesterday for $12.00.

Performing there was a blast clean big backstage so cool and even has dressing rooms and cheap for schools and other things.

I have been performing and watching shows here ever since I was born. Ive really gotten to know every patron who comes to see the plays and musicals and let me tell you, theres such an amazing, family environment. Every person who performs in this theatre volunteered to do so, too. If that doesnt show how amazing this theatre is, then I dont know what will.

This past weekend I saw the production 13 a New Musical. It was a kids summer workshop production and it was fantastic! I only heard about it because my friends son was in it and she posted about it on FaceBook. There was absolutely nothing about it on Richey Suncoast Theaters website nor on their board outside the theater and thats ashame because more people may have know about it if it was marketed better. It was sooo funny, fun, and the kids did a suberb job.
