Beautiful view, but impossible to take in without memories of the loses suffered during hurricane Katrina. Walking along that levy you think of the horror of the past, but also the rebuilding. Even this many years after there were people working all around the area building.

The trails are over grown n theres just like 2 busted up picnic benches/ tables.And there was a train n the way had to walk under it to get to the steps n trails.Also pretty sure I witnessed a drug deal go on here,Dude came to the steps got a phone call, he went into a car that pulled up, then went into his vehicle n sat in it for like 15-20 min. Wasnt really wanting to see him doing his thing. Then before we left he pulled out w/ a quickness

Great platform to see over the levy into the swamp area!

Pleasant little place. Not exactly the Grand Canyon, but its within the city limits.

The area needs a bit of investment to make it what it could be..
