I highly recommend the Palm Court Jazz Cafe. The food has been great and the music wonderful. We actually came twice in the same week and both times we enjoyed it very much. I would keep coming back to try more items from the menu. We had the Cheese Goujons, the Gumbo, Crawfish Pie, Seasonal salad & Bread Pudding. All great!
Food was delicious. Band was awesome. They have Kevin Louis of the Presentation Hall All Stars, the trumpet and coronet player!! Band goes on at 7:30. We made a reservation and had a GREAT table. The musicians are top notch - dont forget to tip the band people!! Very expensive with the whole shebang with apps, drinks, dinner, but made great memories.
Fantastic music. Great service. And good atmosphere.. But food not great and quite pricey, not overly big portions, but this is not a foodie place. This is a great music place that also sells food. If u go with that attitude.. Highly recommended.
We stopped in here one night for dessert after a long day of sightseeing and dinner. It was a much more sophisticated crowd than all of the other clubs in the quarter. The desserts we had were great. They have a great variety of drinks as well. The service was prompt. The Sunday evening band was on point. We enjoyed our time at the Palm Court.
This is the best place in New Orleans. Great music, incredible atmosphere. I had one of the greatest times of my life here.
Very nice ambiance. Jazz is outstanding. You can transport yourself to the Jazz era. Food is very good.
Absolutely wonderful if you appreciate jazz. Kind of new to it myself as an audience member but enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the artists.
Food is good+, music was amazing. One of the best nights of my life. Thanks.
We went to the palm court jazz cafe around 9pm on saturday and were excited to sit down right away at a table for 4. The drinks were decent and the bread pudding was ok. The band was wonderful and played very classic smooth jazz. It was such a great experience and I enthusiastically recommend the jazz court cafe if you want an intimate and sincere jazz experience.
Palm Court Jazz Cafe is SO worth a visit! Great atmosphere! Wonderful service! Delicious food! Fantastic jazz!
Great music. Delicious food. Very good servers
A pleasant surprise! The food and music were fabulous! Id highly recommend and would go back. The pork chop on the menu was out of this world!
Good food, old crowd. They could do better getting people on there.
Visited Wed 15 May. Food ok, service just satisfactory (18% tip!). 5 piece band plus singer played decent music but 30 min on, 30 min off, so, for me, as a musician, not enough. Of the 5 musicians, only 3 (piano, tenor sax and bass) were worth calling musicians. The trombone sounded like a beginner, whilst the drummer overplayed most of the time. Overall, a disappointing evening. Sorry.
Very cozy old fashioned jazz restaurant with decent food. A bit off from the bourbon st but worth the walk.
Wonderful jazz musicians and authentic Cajun cuisine.
A wonderful experience. The food was delicious, atmosphere quiet and elegant and the music was wonderful
Tasty albeit expensive food, mediocre music.
Wonderful place, food, service and music. Loved the turtle soup!
Great jazz supper club. No cover. Traditional New Orleans decor: mahogany bar, white tile floor, white table cloths & napkins. Tasty creole inspired food at modest prices. Great service. Old time very good jazz band. Important supporter of new and elder jazz musicians.
Absolutely superb, great service, amazing music. A must do place to go!
Absolutely what we were looking for!Wonderful classy vibe restaurant and the Resident Jazz Band was spectacular! We recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the real New Orleans Jazz Night.
Warm and friendly welcome. The jazz band were outstanding. Food amazing. Fab time had by all in great surroundings
Fantastic dinner and jazz. Delightful vibe
Great restaurant with stage and live jazz. Unlike some clubs in the French Quarter, this place actually plays jazz. Great atmosphere with white tablecloths and great food.
Wow very traditional jazz cafe. Came in on a Thursday evening and the band was great. A New Orleans night life experience.
Food and music are fantastic
Outstanding food. Great service. Excellent venue. Highly recommend.
Always an excellent experience. It is a flashback jazz experience. Service and food excellent.
Wonderful! Make reservations before you go. Great music great food.
Fabulous in every way!! Hostess, server, THE BAND, guest musicians, other guests..... We cant stop smiling! SWEET 1st night out in NOLA!!
Good food, good music!
Aside from being one of the top places to see the citys best traditional jazz players, there is also a traditional, high quality Louisiana cuisine menu. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly as well.
The atmosphere is nice. The food is just okay (it is hot, but nothing to write home about). The jazz is good - you can hear and see the band, but you can also still hear the person youre with as well as you can hear your own thoughts. Others have complained about the cover charge for the band, but I think its very reasonable at $5, considering its a seven piece band. Where Im from, thats called a steal. The place is good for couples or families, and its wheelchair accessible.Edit: I wrote the previous paragraph while eating my meal. In retrospect, the quality of the dishes really doesnt warrant the cost. If you really want to eat here, stick to dessert.
This is truly our best New Orleans experience so far! A warm, friendly spot, makes you feel right at home whilst enjoying the music from the best musicians in town (guys from preservation hall)@Nina, thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
We thoroughly enjoyed your terrific jazz band Saturday night! And the two surprise Japanese musicians joining the group was delightful. Thank you!My crawfish pie was terrific. My husband had the red beans and rice with garlic chicken, which was tasty, however only had a leg and thigh for chicken. He would’ve preferred a breast or at least an option instead...so he was somewhat disappointed in his meal.We did have a lovely evening & would come again. Thank you!
Good food and music.
Loved the music and food. Chairs are uncomfortable
Great music with outstanding food. Service was a little slow but we were enjoying the band so it was not an issue. Nice spot off of the main tourist drag too. We will certainly return!
Real traditional Jazz - played by the best musicians in that genre. Also good food and bar service. The $5 cover should be way more - one of the best places to listen to Music - and dancing is encouraged when there is room.
Tha food was amazing the band was the best live music I have seen and heard ever.
A little pricey but a great place to hear some smooth, old-school jazz. Like being transported back to the 1950s
Great artists play down here.
Love the atmosphere and the Bartender is wonderful!
Ginger shrimp sauce tasted like catsup, fried oysters are better at Hooters, after the appetizer let down, we did not stick around for the main course. The owner appeared intoxicated and wandered around aimlessly...not rude or anything it was just a little bizarre for the venue. Not the culinary experience I had in mind from a city known for excellent food. The house Jazz band was very good.
Ideal place if you have minors in your group, but want live music. The jazz music was excellent. The food was good. Our favorite was chicken Clemenceau. Be aware there is a $5/person music fee. This was well worth it to us. The atmosphere was so much nicer than jazz bars - it was smoke free, nicely lit, and roomy. We will be back.
This is difficult to rate because the music was fantastic. The food was great, but I have never been treated so rudely by a waiter. He was completely disrespectful and nasty. One of the people in our party asked him to smile and it went down hill from there. The service was slow and it was a bit pricy.
My review does not include any information on the food.My co-worker took me to Palm Court to listen to Jazz. It was fantastic! The band played multiple sets during the night and we stayed for 45 minutes to listen. You pay $5 to listen to the band and then we also got drinks. The staff was friendly and if you come here for your birthday the band acknowledges you and sings to you!The owner was working the floor and dancing the night away. She was amazing. I would definitely come back to have the food :)
Amazing service! So welcoming! Outstanding live music. Great food! I loved this place!
I took my sister here when she came in town. One of a kind experience. We went in wearing very casual clothes, which I actually dont recommend, but they treated us like royalty. We ended up with a front row, 2 top right in front of the action. The food was also excellent. Really excellent.
Nice place for jazz music
We had the best time. If you are expecting true fine dining, white table cloth fancy service and amazing foodie food this may not be for you. But if you want good food, friendly service, and great music then run dont walk. Definitely coming back.
Classy place, beautiful music.
The jazz was amazing, but the food was expensive and really small portions. But the flavor was really good. The service was really kind
Enjoyed the experience of a live band the food was delicious
Food was good, jazz even better, we know why Homer had pecan pie here
Best pork chops in the civilized world. #mrbobby
Good food. Amazing service.
Fantastic place!!
Good music good food
Great food, great music, awesome staff
Great Sunday night jazz show, great food, make a reservation!
Wonderful food. Incredible music. Reasonable prices. Cant beat it.
Great place for dinner and a jazz band
This is a real favorite of mine. Great place for traditional jazz. Good food at reasonable prices.
Wonderful food and music!!
The most incredible place Ive ever had the privilege of dining
Great food and excellent music. I cant imagine going to New Orleans without making a stop here. The Creole Pasta is a must.
Good traditional New Orleans jazz and good service. Nice atmosphere.
If you are looking for great traditional jazz this is the place. Great Cajun cuisine and exceptional service. Call for reservations and you wont be sorry. Thank you Mrs Buck for keeping jazz alive
All good, music, service was super. Food very good!
Fun place for live jazz. A little pricy, as are most places here.
Excellent food, great service and wonderful jazz
Great traditional NOLA experience!
Very nice vibes listening to jazz while we eat.
Good food, good music. But charging automatic 20% gratuity for 4 of us on the bill including the table fee for the music is absurd. Definitely shouldnt be charging that on the music fee.
Good food and fantastic music and service. Sit back and enjoy a cold drink listening to hot jazz.
One of my favorite places in the world to hear New Orleans Jazz!!! They also have really great New Orleans food choices!!!
Wonderful jazz show !!!
Owners were so rude even though we filled half of their restaurant. Jazz was the best part of our night.
Love jazz and amazing Creole, good prices on wine bottles too.
Food was alright, live music was kind of cheesy, but most people enjoyed it.
Good classic jazz. Food very good, great service.
Music was AWESOME & food was good!!!
Great place to hear the finest dixieland jazz.
