This place is one of New Orleans BEST kept secrets! I challenge you to leave the beaten path of bourbon street and Canal Street and visit this place! If you are an art lover, you will be Mesmerize by this artwork and the story behind it! It admission price is VERY reasonable. If you visit at the right time, you may catch the artist there as well. He is a very humble man & will not hesitate to stop to catch with you or take a picture!
Ive seen the exhibit in Algiers and the work is amazing and sadly lost but deserves a revival. But thankfully there is a location on Royal were you can see more amazing work.
One of my favorite places I visited in New Orleans. Great place to visit! The art is real and brings a lot of emotions as you tour the space. You gain a deep love for the people of New Orleans. It’s great to see young black artists making a impactful experience to the people. If you are looking for a beautiful experience this is the place you must add to your list when visiting!
If you want to learn New Orleans history from the locals this is the place to go. My people are so creative. We literally have the ability to make something out of nothing. This is what we did during slavery, Jim Crow, and now still in 2020. Making art from whatever you scrapes you give up. That’s how dope these New Orleans artist are out here
Studio Be is astounding. Should it be called an art gallery, and immersive experience, a multimedia installation? Whatever you call it, Studio Be is great in size and great in depth. Its great also in artistic ambition... and in artistic achievement. It tells a story that will change you. Everyone should go. We spent an afternoon there and will never forget it.
Dope art social justice theme
Really powerful! I hadnt heard of it before going, but I really enjoyed it. Lots of open space and lots of art to contemplate. Its not very expensive, and seeing everything can be quick if thats desirable. Highly recommend!
Loved this place . If youre in the area make time for a lil studio Be.
Studio Be is a large and open gallery that tells an array of stories via its art. A very unique gallery. I plan on returning and do recommend Studio Be as a place to visit if you are into art and stories.
Powerful art.The facility is large, so plenty of room to walk around and appreciate the size of the murals (theyre massive!) The pieces touch on a lot of issues affecting the black community today, as well as tributes to prominent civil rights leaders both nationally and locally. Would recommend a visit for anyone visiting New Orleans.
Amazing! Beautiful Black Art.A must see when visiting New Orleans
This was my first time visiting a warehouse exhibit. I didnt know what to expect. I am pleased to say this place has set the bar high! Each exhibit was thought provoking. I love the detail. I kept looking for more. I spent hours inside and it felt like minutes. There was even an area that asked you to leave words for someone else. The Katrina portion brought tears to my eyes. Cant wait to see what else this artist has in store. I definitely recommend you visit this space.
Amazing art and experience. Was hoping it would be a little bigger of an exhibit. But the kids loved it too!
Go here. Take the time away from booze, parades, and food to appreciate and commune with large-scale thought-provoking representational art done almost entirely in spray paint.
Art (black culture) as a way of life is greatly expressed in this phenomenal location. This is where you will definitely meet and greet the legend himself, @bmike2c
What an amazingly powerful place. Very big, with thought-provoking installations. Please note that if it rains, there will be water on the ground in some places but what’s most interesting about this is how it contributes to the installations in room. Also loved the Eternal Crowns wall with artwork by children and teens that is also for purchase.$10 for entry cash or card. We got there around 2:30-:45 on Saturday and there was no wait and not a big crowd, so you’re able to really digest the art without much interferenceBefore you go, walk across the track and visit the spot of the arrest of Homer Plessy which eventually led to the Plessy vs. Ferguson case and the “separate but equal” doctrine that made segregation federally legal in America.
Stunning art with a socially relevant story for America.
Such a cool experience to go here. So much to learn and appreciate. Well worth it.
I love the rotating street art that is on display here. There’s also some mixed media incorporated into some of the exhibits. I forget which day of the week it is but they do have a designated day were locals and college students can access the gallery for free. I’m not sure what the standard admission fee is.
Smart artistic creations by black people. Amazimg!
What an amazing and powerful experience just walking through the beautiful black art. As a African American I was really attached emotionally to the art work. Please take your time really looking at the art because there is so much detail inside the art on a small scale and then when you back away there is more. I highly recommend coming to experience this mind blowing place.
A beautifully emotional experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be going back.
This was a very powerful experience. His artwork is very anointed and beautiful. The subject matter is educational yet does not invoke anger and gives the solution of love. Amazing talented man. A must see!!!
One of the best places in the world!
The perfect place to spend the day. If you want to be inspired by local artist, then this is the place. They offer discounts for students as well. Please come support the studio if you are ever in New Orleans.
Really great place! It looks closed when you arrive. Just open the blue door next to the blue girl graffiti on the red wall. Enjoy !
The art was absolutely beautiful and meaningful. The only downside was that it was so hot in there but it was worth it to see the art. And they did provide little hand fans and a free BLM bracelet so all in all I had a great experience there.
I was really impressed with not only the artist who is responsible for studio Be, but also the exhibits inside. He passionately spoke on most of the pieces and shared background on what inspired them. A must see!
To be honest I didn’t have to privilege of going into the studio, but can to explore the murals. That alone, WORTH IT! Very beautiful and awesome to see in person!

Powerful. So worth the visit.
Political and poetry vibe in the place. Gotta pass by to see the mural or better to visit the exposition.

Amazing art gallery space in the the Bywater area. Defintiely a visceral experience. Worth the visit.
Just go! The art is amazing. There is no a/c so prepare yourself in the summer but well worth the experience. The staff was also friendly.
This place is super dope. Everyone should visit this place. Words cant express how I felt once inside. Beware it is hot inside, but this place is so aspiring.
Really unique art gallery with thought provoking larger than life pieces. Worth the trip if you want to go off the beaten path while in New Orleans.
Wow. Unique experience. Awesome art,v esp the pieces inspired by Katrina.
A place to truly appreciate art.
I felt a sense of self in that art warehouse. I felt every emotion the artist displayed through his work. Please visit and pray for New Orleans during this hurricane season
Awesome, a must see. Very deep, and thought provoking.
A little empty but had great art. Very interesting place and was very inspirational.
I was so excited to find out about Studio Be after watching Ashley @letdatgirlcook on YouTube. I went by the studio last Thursday - 6/27/2019 and they were closed for the day.I was able to peek inside and see some of the art work; and it is amazing! If you love art, this is the place for you. Just make sure to call or email before going to ensure that they are open.
Went here with my sons 2nd grade class...great art...the tour could have been better and a little more organized but the Artist came and had a great session with the kids...idk how much it is because the chaperones were free but check this place out!! Katrina water room #goreallastamp
Must visit if in NOLA. you will be moved and inspired. I promise!
Best Art in Town.$10 per person. You will experience love, equality, freedom & magic. From Malcom X to Katrina. It will make you feel all the emotions. When you finish the tour you will renew your mentality. We all are one. And love is the answer to EVERYTHING.
This art gallery was amazing. Its even more than I expected because my son is apart of the Craftletes program and he gets to create and have input on some of their amazing exhibits
One of the coolest and authentically beautiful spaces Ive ever had the pleasure to be in. It is a MUST SEE!
Beautiful Place ! Only thing is I thought there would be a tour guide or a illustrator to explain some of the exhibits. As a out of towner I did not understand everything but I still loved the art regardless !!Great Job B Mike && Friends !
An impressive, caverous temple to creativity. B. Mike offers an utterly unique art gallery-museum-event space in Bywater. Inside, youll find mural-sized paintings, sculptures and installations.Be aware: Entry is by admission on most days. Cool air is piped in to the old warehouse through a network of coils which rest on the floor and a few fans.
Amazing art studio in the New Orleans area. If you want to learn more about NOLA and Black culture, then go to Studio Be!!!
Amazing gallery, heartfelt powerful pieces.
BMike and his crew do a phenomenal job of connecting with the community via art. StudioBe houses powerful collections created by local artists.

I enjoyed this awesome experience. It was so amazing to see all of the phenomenal art pieces and to feel welcomed when walking through the door. I would recommend it to anyone who visits New Orleans.
Powerful black art. Lots to think, lots to reflect.
A good place to meditate and appreciate a local artist. Challenging but appropriate for all ages.
Amazing. Must see before it closes!
A must-see if you are in New Orleans. B-Mike is an extraordinary artist who pushes the audience to take up space and interact with the art. The magnitude of this studio was both overwhelming and inspiring. I had the pleasure of viewing alongside a school trip of mostly Black young women and it brought me to tears to see them engaging with the exhibits. Bring your students, bring your family, buy them souvenirs and prints! Support Black Art! #BlackLivesMatter
Must see! Great art, great message, great experience. Support local art!

Creative artist breath new into space. Telling a story with spray paint.
One of the best example of street art in NOLA, must see
Exquisite, incredibly unique art studio. Studio Be acutely captures civil rights and racial justice in an eye-opening way that leaves you thinking, feeling, and not wanting to leave. I would highly recommend Studio Be to anyone interested in moving art, and an educational experience.
This place is #Dope! The story of how it formed and the content of the studio are extremely inspirational! I was having all the feelings and almost cried a few times!
Highly impactful pieces that provokes intentional thought and course of action...
An absolute must. Its one of the best art installations Ive ever seen. Its thought provoking, powerful, and interactive. What a treasure for the community and in such a perfect spot right across from the Plessy v. Ferguson plaque.
Beautiful art.
Dope experience for someone who knows little about NOLA. I walked away with an awareness of the Cities real inhabitants and the blight that surrounds them. Black art is best presented by black artists, and this is an experience for everyone to learn a little, laugh, and cry. Well done!
The truth and level of talent displayed at Studio Be is unparalleled. Studio Be is a must see.
Beautiful place!!! Highly recommend checking it out.
Honestly, I dont even know what to say about this place. I will leave it at I was totally moved. And inspired in a way I never expected to be.It was raining when I visited...to hear the raindrops on the roof as I walked around the large open space. PricelessThanks Studio Be.
