This place is the best! I especially love the abandoned vibe that the owners gave it to make it look creepy and spooky! Theres even live alligators! The park owners also took good measures to implement social distancing. This park has got to be the best attraction in Louisiana! Super nice employees, too! NO LINES, FREE FOOD, GOOD FUN!
The roller coaster wasnt moving and i got stung by a wasp would not recommend
Went there the other day, best amusement park and resort ever. Everything is nice and has that run down aesthetic. The COVID rules are nice too. Ot has great social distancing measures that you don’t need to wear a mask. I like the ride called “Climb the Rollercoaster” very fun ride and with a jaw dropping jump, did get a broken bone from it though. The only cons is that there is no food, water, the bathrooms don’t work, and the gators. The ticket admission is weird though, you don’t pay until your trip ends. Staff dressed up as police officers act like they arrest you and you pay the ticket that way.
I just love this place. I went there two days ago. My kids and my wires boyfriend enjoy. I just love the food and the staff. They would put a simile on your face. I love the Spongebob ride with all the graffiti. Its was fun until the cops chased us.
The rollercoasters really felt wobbly like they might actually fall down! Props to the owners for the abandoned vibe they made! The game stands weren’t manned well, that is my only problem with the experience, but would definitely return and recommend to others!!!
Great for the kids. We love going to the top of the rollercoaster and doing backflips off. When we scrap up the ones that survive we go fed the alligators singular kernels of corn. Only lines there are the ones we cant talk about. Would go again.... just need have another kid for the next trip. (For legal reasons this is a joke)
I just went yesterday. I love how theyve implemented social distancing. Its like we were all alone.
Six Flags New Orleans was a great park because they have great rides, parking, food and nice staff. It opened 20 years ago and it operated for 5 years until Hurricane Katrina came to hit New Orleans and flood the entire park. Since after the hurricane hit New Orleans the park never reopen and its been like this for 15 years now without rebuild.
This is permanently closed August 2005. There are dangers. Supposedly New Orleans Police patrol this 24/7.
Can I give this place 2005 stars? Staff are the nicest people Ive ever met.Bonus fun because the lineups are pretty empty for a Six Flags park!
In trying to change the status from Temporarily closed to Permanently closed, I had to mark it as Open first. It is not open. Do not go there. This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here.
To everyone thinking this is still open, STOP POSTING REVIEWS OF THIS PARK! This park has been closed since Hurricane Katrina and never reopened and may be demolished.
Theres no lines which is awesome but the rides dont work. But theres this police chase stunt show thats very realistic, its almost like they were real cops! Theres also a gator zoo and a pool!Would definitely come here again!
This place is so empty! Youll never find this level of its almost like I have the park all to myself at any other six flags. The staff are so well trained at not interfering with your day that its like theyre not even there. I must have picked a bad day though because all the rides I wanted to go on were out of order.
Will you people please stop saying that this place is still open, just stop its gone and its not going to be open again.
I did not think this would ever reopen again because of all the damage and destruction of the park do the hurricanes that moved the park to closing for good I thought okay its going to be okay and that the park would have to take possession ones again and the new owners would have to agree to take ownership of the park again Im so glad its reopened its doors again thank god for that
Great abandoned amusement park. Great for pictures. Risky and Illegal to get in. Dont know why the mayor hates it so much. She wants to destroy a part of history and its a disgrace. She must hate revenue and tourists. SAVE JAZZLAND
Friday’s are the best days to go!!!! Went no one in line was so happy all the rides where super fun one ride didn’t move so was little afraid of that one alagtor came out of nowhere and but me so five stars!!!!! Also Jenny was the best ride operator and James is the best foodservice atendent
I really enjoy the new Six Flags New Orleans Waterpark! Its a lot of fun to ride down a rollercoaster then be flung underwater out of nowhere. It is a little difficult to get there, but the rides make up for it!
Me and my friends had a great time, their were no lines and they let us on all the rides free. Even better, they let us in without paying admission fees! Now me, my friends, and my new Police buddies are going to jail for trespassing! What a great day!
I don’t understand why they still have security posted, if the park isn’t operational, and how are they still paying for security with no profit?...... That’s very interesting, what are they guarding?
Closed down since 2005. Why Google still shows it as operational is just silly. Been shut down 15 years, get with it. Was a cool place to spend summer days around 18 years ago though, right before it switched from Jazzland to Six Flags.
Omg I loved this theme park there was no line and the rides are very safe, the foods are so good and the employees are better than the ones at Disneyland, there was also police chase stunt that felt very real, more real than the stunts at universal studios, overall I loved everything about this park.
I went to this wonderland and I immediately saw a guy get eaten by a gator near a food stand. Besides that, there was no lines in any ride which makes visiting here worth it. Unfortunately I got arrested (again) and I was forcefully dragged outside. I would recommend to go here, just watch out for the gators
This place is AMAZING!Pros: Gators try to kill youCons: Rides dont workTheres also a lot of colors in the tunnels with offensive writing. Its amazing!1000000000000000000000000000000000/10 DEFINITELY would go againOther AMAZING things: Got tetanusNow have stage 5 skin cancer from being here for 90 hours (The park never closes!!)They offer VERY friendly snakes which sometimes accidentally bit me and almost killed me and now Im on probation and arrested for 80 days for some reason
Great attractions!free!almost no lines!make new friends (police)!get tendinitis!get eaten by an alligator!no reason not to go
I visited this place when it was abandoned..it was all messed up but i bet it would look pretty neat if it wasnt destroyed by all the water damage and all. But Id give it a ten star rate
The police chase stunt was epic. and the spongebob 4d ride was epic, better than that honey i shrunk the audience thing at disney. oh and is near new orleans, so if you want a very epic vacation, come here
This place is amazing!Pros: no lines, no people, decent weather!Cons:cops try to arrest you, no food water or electricity, and everything is super rusty and overgrown.otherwise its a great place for splinters, and make sure you have a tetanusshot!
Never underestimate hurricane tortilla
Do u know you have to call a security to get in the amusement park
Man, I must of gone on an amazing day!, There were no lines and i even got to experience a climb to the top, Alli was the best ride operator in the world but dont get him in a bad mood. Food service took forever tough
It was Perfect There was no employees no Lines I could do what I want but there were homeless people there
I like how they went with the creepy, haunted atmosphere and make you feel like at any point in time you will be visited by a spirit past and are just generally creeped out. Its like you are the only one here, oh no, theres someone over there! Well, its just the faceless old lady who secretly lives in your home who has followed you here for a days amusement. Have fun! Enjoy the rides! Have a funnel cake and a deep fried armadillo. How wonderful.
Its the best no lines fast service but the rides take forever
This place is closed. The park was closed the day before hurricane katrina collided with the gulf states. The day after hurricane Katrina, six flags owners gave the park to the city of New Orleans, happily shedding one of their losers of their financial portfolio. The park is used for movie sets and has been off limits to the public., the Parks name is Jazzland.
Just filmed a movie here. The road could be better lit up to get in from the interstate.
Parking’s Vast, Food’s Cheap, Rides Fun, and no lines! 10/10
I liked it but the staff kept getting angry at me and trying to arrest me. It’s a decent water park.
THIS PARK HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR 15 YEARS.
Pretty decent all around. went here on holiday, no body there so i dont have to wait around to get on rides, there were food shops but they were not selling food? dont know what the deal is with that and it was abit cold. but i do recommend going here to go on the rides.
Its amazing how theres no lines but their is no electricity and everything is Rusty
Never went but will not re open sorry
In amazing shape for its age! No lines or anything cant wait to go back!
Most fun Ive ever had !
The police chase attraction is very realistic! Would recomend!
FUN Zaza za, worth seeing now .
I loved how it was abandoned and I almost got arrested for sneaking in. But I remember when it was active and I would go to the ice cream shop and get chocolate. But if u try to sneak in be safe and there are police cars all around even if u don’t see them and do not do an over night... this place is cool if u can get in and then if u don’t just go to charity hospital it will help
This theme park brought me mega joy man
Great food, gator and human is great.
The year is 2008. im at six flags, its going swimmingly. the weather is alright, you know what im saying? i was waiting for my favorite ride, pirates 4d which i didnt realize was ACTUALLY spongebob squarepants: The Ride because i havent been there since 1983. So, anyways, back to the story. im in line, and all of a sudden, hurricane katrina hit. oh. my. GOD. let me tell you sis, the water? un frickin believable. this is the best review ill ever because gotdamn, i had the time of my life getting so wet from katrina. honestly? the wind was the best part.
I love this place its so fun
I love the big coaster and the nice people
Today was the best day ever going to Six Flags New Orleans! Nobody was there and I didnt have to wait in line, like in Texas. The only thing is is that there was no electricity, so the rides stayed put. Otherwise, the experience was amazing, and I got to ride the different rides at the top speed of 0MPH.
Absolutely ZERO wait in ANY of the lines!
Good theme park
Its got so much plants and rides and water and no lines and animals like alligators
Coolest place on Earth. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. Definitely recommended trying to get into the park if you still can. You will never see anything like this again. Its been abandoned since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. They have even filmed several movies there since its closing.
At least there arent any stupid kids here to be loud.
The rides didn’t work. The only one that did was the gator ride. But one of the alligators ate my friend so that’s inconvenient.
Theres no lines but the rides dont move
When I was really young I went there and I loved it
Use to be a great theme park
I would rather be in 7 foot hurricane water than to go to this place again!
I lost 1 leg to an alligator, the other to a snake bite, lost one arm from a ride, and the other arm from a rusty spike. No lines and I got a ride to the hospital!
Best broken park I know!
Ive been sitting here for 6 years now, and this ride hasnt moved once. Zero stars if I could.
PERMANENTLY CLOSED
The lines were empty, theyre were no workers, and no electricity. It was the best thing ever.
This amusement park has been closed since August 21, 2005.
I remember hearing this place and thinking wow no one will be there, so I wont have to deal with long lines and limited parking... book me up! So I drove 11 hours to get here and I was right. No lines, and no people only me and this homeless goon holding me at gun point. I Recomend this park to anyone who likes going on 0mph ride that leave you up 100 ft on a track..
We know the real reason you are securing this place, you are hiding gator people in the underground tunnels. You cant hide it from us for long, new orleans,we will find out!
Nice lie this is permanently closed
When I arrived here, I saw no cars in the parking lot. I thought to myself I have the whole park to myself- boy was I right! No one! Riding the rides by myself- if there was electricity. Heavily recommend this if you like a sub par theme park ran by Six Flags, a sub par company.
Permanently closed due to damage from hurricane Katrina
I saw a hunter bash a gator with a shovel only to get arrested by 2 cops nearby
So much fun I got to ride every ride in a 5 min span. It’s just hard to get around
Wait this six flags is open again because on Google it says it open I would think there would be some type of video about that.
No lines is good but there be no food :(
This place had been closed since Hurricane Katrina.
This is absolutely abandoned really
Because it was fun there just like worlds of fun
The family had funny at the park
This place is permanently closed
It then shut down for about 15 years
Better than Nuka World
Its not open
Man I miss them days... Park was so full of life! Fun times..
Best day at six flags no lines plenty of parking rides went 0 mph have to be carefull of security guards it is amazing how hurricane Katrina destroyed this
Best day at six flags plenty of parking no lines and i rode the rides at 0mph it is basiclly abandoned from hurricane katrina and security guards driving around
Place is closed, with security driving around --- a place of rapes and muggings. But a great photo opp. Guard told me they found a dead body recrntly
I like the alligator rides
Nobodys there
