Artist & Craftsman Supply New Haven

Patient and kind sales staff. Knowledgeable about alternatives when you need affordable options. Be careful because it is a fun and inviting space where everything on display is all about fun colors and creativity.

They have so many things! Good variety and price. Very helpful staff :)

I have made this place my second home, right after my favorite local comic books and collectibles store Alternate Universe. The service, the staff, the atmosphere, everything about it makes it worth your while. Please take the time to stop by, walk in and I promised you that you wont regret it. You will be surprised!!!

I had to take 2 stars off because I don’t like how every single employee says “Hi can I help you?” Like how many times do I have to say no to you people? do you really think your other three co-workers haven’t asked me for help by now? Everyone knows that creative types tend to be eccentric, and my personal eccentricity is that I’m irritated by redundancy, if you’ll believe that. So I had to take 2 stars off because I don’t like how every single employee says “Hi can I help you?”

People are very helpful and they have great stock. Love this place and keep continuing my visit in future.

Very nice customer service and great prices! Never going to a chain store again for my arts and crafts needs. Support local business!

This is a great place for art supplies, gifts and novelties. Very pleasant and helpful staff as well!

Cheapest prices in town, friendly staff, and great organization. Theres also a student discount you can ask for that is a great help. They also have a service where you can send your syllabus in, and they do all the art class shopping for you. Very helpful.

Vast well-organized selection and a friendly knowledgeable staff

Wonderful shop, well-stocked with a wide variety of craft tools. The staff are very knowledgeable, super helpful and very friendly. Love going there for my art supplies.

They have everything an artist or craftsperson needs. The help is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place!

Workers very polite, nice and clean place and You can find almost everything related to art

This is my go to art store I have been going there since it has opened. The prices are amazing especially for students who get the discount. I enjoy the wide variety of art supplies, the labeling of sections, and the reliable customer service. When I’ve had problems with some materials, the staff has always been helpful with their opinions, and remember majority of them are Visual Artists. This art store has everything to fulfill my artistic dreams.

I love this place, best spot to get screen printing supplies and all of the staff Ive met here have been really friendly and helpful. Frequent sales. Its an awesome spot to buy interesting gifts as well. Sometimes I find the layout a little confusing, but it hasnt been a problem since there is always a nearby employee to help point me in the right direction. A+ would geek around in again.

As cheap as online, friendly staff, and great variety.

Awesome store packed with anything and everything you need for any project. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great downtown location. My favorite place to buy art supplies in New Haven.

Came in looking for some minimal, high quality cards and envelopes. Received some great recommendations from a delightful staff, and the product is terrific.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Look out for their clearance rack! Really great deals at a fraction of the original price

Love this place. Great products, service and overall best prices around the area.

The employees are very helpful and the store is great for artists.

Check it out! Good for serious artists, crafters, people who like to color (astounding array of pens), unique jigsaw puzzles, unusual toys...they even had an Edward Gorey coloring book.

Loveeeeeeee this place everything I need is right here why spend all kinds of money if youre trying to make money... this place is affordable....helpful artistic list goes on... love it here

Great variety of specialized parts and tools for virtually any craft project!

Wonderful selection of art supplies

Hugh variety of art and crafts..

My first time visiting, and the staff was very helpful.

The employees are always helpful. You can find every specialty art supply you need here

Ive passed by this store so many times & decided to go in one day .I was impressed with the amount of craft items they had. Seems like they have just about everything an artist would need & more.

It has everything/all art supplies you can think of ! Great store! But pricey $$$

Lowest prices in town. I buy all my art supply’s from here.

My husband and I stumbled upon here when walking around New Haven and instantly loved it here! As artists ourselves, we felt ashamed we hadnt known about it sooner! It has everything and anything you could want as an artist! Oil paints, spray paints, watercolors, color pencils, note books, sketchbooks, canvas of any size, AND ALL IN LARGE QUANTITIES!! And the prices arent bad either! I usually go to a local Michaels for some stuff and I feel like Ive been robbed because this place has some of the stuff I get from Michaels and stuff I wish Michaels carried and/or cheaper!

Very friendly, and helpful. They always have what l need, and have good prices. I love this store. It is right downtown in New Haven.

The storefront is unassuming, but this store is amazing. I am so sorry for not stopping in long ago! This shop is well-sticked with everything you need to make art — from paints and canvas to popsicle sticks for craft projects with little ones: jewelry findings, magic markers, drawing pads, stickers, kits…If you can think of it, it is probably there. Also puzzles, games, gifts, and high-end greeting cards. Friendly staff is really to guide you to what you need or to leave you alone if you wish to browse. Prices are very reasonable. If you are in downtown New Haven you have to check this place out!

Very Good Store..!! They have Everything..!!

I had cash in hand I wanted to buy some frames just now and absolutely no one wanted to help me so I walked out. Im going to hulls for friendly professional help.

Great place lovely people good vibes

Love this place! They have everything you could possibly imagine for expressing yourself artistically.

7000 Square feet of art supplies. Fully loaded for professionals and beginners alike.

They are amazing people real helpful have your true interest at heart not pushing upsales on people like some most places downtown

My favorite art store in new haven. Great people great prices. Completely blows hulls out of the water in every aspect

I love the variety of prisma markers that they have in stock and I also like the gel pens they have

Great selection, helpful staff. Love shopping here!

Staff is friendly and very useful. Always have sales and many kinds of art supples for different art media.

Everything you could possibly need to make art and the staff is knowledgeable too

Although this store has a great variety of items, the prices are really terrible. Some items are two or even three TIMES the price theyre normally sold at by comparable stores. Just one example that pops into my head, Faber-Castell artist Pitt Brush pens, I got them for $10, at this store theyre close to $18. And although the staff are friendly enough, most arent really knowledgable about the items theyre selling- so be sure you know what you want and bring three times the amount of money you think the item will cost if your going to buy your art supplies here. Or try Hulls up the street, theyre 1/3 the size of Artist and Craftsman, but theyve got decent prices and are very knowledgable about everything they sell.

Great selection, best prices in town, and really friendly/helpful folks. Thanks!

An extensive supply of everything arts-related, plus a knowledgable and friendly staff.

They have tools for almost any trade. Make sure to call to check stock before parking in downtown new haven and hauling all the way to the store.
