Loved this water park so much! We were there on a busy summer weekend day, but it didnt seem ridiculously packed. It seemed clean, bathrooms were aplenty. The staff were helpful. We rented a cabana and were so spoiled with great food service and the shade and place to rest was totally worth the money for our large group. We would be back often if it were a little less pricey, but it was a great once trip for us.

This Waterpark has lot to offer with variety of activities for various age. We have been to this park many times and one of our family gathering had rented private Cabana which was a good experience. River water and Rides in and around river makes it a unique water park compare to traditional water parks. I certainly recommend this place. Also there are many activities near by so you can make family outing in this area for 2 days getaway.

So I dont normally write reviews but at this point I am out of patience and out of options. I unfortunately have had the worst experience I have ever had with customer service in regards to a refund. I have explain my situation to multiple people and have been waiting for an answer since June. At this point an entire season has gone by with no answer on the status of my refund. I got told just recently that my reason for a refund was never put in, when I clearly know I explained it again multiple times. So now that my reason was added i have been told it could take another 2 months for upper management to get me an answer. At this point we have wasted a lot of money and missed an entire season because people cannot give an answer. If you decided to purchase tickets to this place you best hope nothing happens that changes your plans because you will waste your time and money on an answer.

WARNING: make sure your CONFIRMATION has an ATTACHMENT of the ticket before you go. This review is strictly in regards to the corporate service. The reservation system upon inception had extremely high traffic, that was apparent in the fact that it took me 6 hours to complete 4 reservations. 6 hours folks. Upon further inspection of my reservations one of my confirmations did not have tickets attached. When calling today to make sure the tickets could be sent, we were informed that pass holders can only come once a week, which is something you cannot find the information for anywhere on their website. I had a reservation for the next day, and after spending over 1 hour on the phone trying to find this reservation I have a confirmation number for, their suggestion was they could call me after 2pm(mind you, they close at 6pm) so if there are any no shows we could come that day and they would gladly cancel my next day confirmation. They advised me that a confirmation number means nothing, so I hope you are all checking your passes because I cant be the only one that didnt get that attachment. Thank you Gabrielle for telling me you understand how upset that I am that after spending 6 hours of my life trying to make a reservation for a water park that I get a confirmation number for is not legitimate. Im glad to know that you too would be upset. Appreciate that. Tammy was glad to confirm every other reservation I had, and both of them happily advised me of a policy that is NOT stipulated anywhere in the reservation process. I hope to never have to communicate with you guys again on a level outside of a concession stand, because I cant imagine having to waste any more of my time with your half hearted sentiment.

We are originally from Houston so we usually go to the Galveston Schlitterbahn location, but come to find out this New Braunfels location is about 5 times the size and fun! We parked and shuttled to the waterpark and while the line to get our bands was a little long, it didn’t take longer than expected.Everyone knows that the pricing for lockers at these waterparks are pretty scammy, so if possible just try to bring as least as possible! We just brought towels and sunscreen. You are allowed to bring your own food/cooler which could save you some money too.My family just loved the variety of rides here and the lazy river has strong currents and cooler entrances than most other parks. The looped wave pool is outrageously fun (waves are huge) though recommended for experienced swimmers only! There is an adequate amount of water areas/slides for kids who are too little to swim. Some lines were long but went pretty fast. The park is large so expect a lot of walking. You can easily spend a whole day here and everyone will be wiped out at the end. Stay hydrated and lotioned up. Tons of fun!

Previously would have given 5 stars but since covid-19 ruined all things for everybody, knocked this place down to 2 stars. This is how it went for our family. Take from it what you will.Purchased tickets online and reserved time to enter park. Arrived and were required to have our temps taken inside a white tent, 2 at a time.Went through security checks and then got our tickets scanned and were given wristbands. Very simple and quick procedure. The reason for the 2 star rating is because you are required to wear a mask unless you are on a ride or in the water, only a handful of rides are operating, and the old part of the park that the tram takes you to and from is entirely shut down. So you pay the same high price for a fraction of the rides and the shortened operating hours. Ugh. Not worth it.

I stayed at the condos. Lovely nice condos very clean. Beautiful layout love the wood interior. The park was closed due to it being winter so I couldnt truly enjoy the full functions of the park. A bit creepy but thats ok. My big problem is the lack of safety. The doors only have a lock thats controlled by a key card. Theres no locks on the inside. It doesnt feel very safe. On top of that theres no security cameras I could find around the condo areas. Itd be nice if the park had exterior cameras. Anyways the condo itself is good

This is the best water park ever and I go with my family every year. Although, this year was pretty disappointing due to covid 19. Instead of posting on their website that the main water park was closed we had to figure that out ourselves. The two parks that are open are the slides, lazy river, and wave pool. If we had knew this we wouldnt have paid so much to do so little. Theyre only allowing a certain amount of people in the pool because of social distancing. Please dont be upset with the employees and try to understand what theyre going through. Dont forget to wear a mask. Hopefully next year else will be open. Thank you Schlitterbahn!

This place is HUGE - so you should definitely reserve multiple days in order to hit everything they have to offer. My family and I always have a blast here. Especially for kids, they have got two different places, where they can go with different rides. For us, the worst part was we couldnt Master Blaster ride as it was closed due to technical failure. As a word of caution, it has got rides to have fun but they arent comparable to Six Flags. Hope this helps!! Cheers!!

Fun experience overall. While Some of the waits were so long that even if the ride was fun it wasnt something I could do again due to the wait. The lines actually werent too bad but can get a little lengthy staff did good to keep it moving some of the rides and attractions were a little grimy but they were still fun and enjoyable. The temperature of the water was good for the day . there was a lack of signs guiding you to certain areas or entrances of rides.some rides had an overabundance amount of tubes available while other rides had no tubes available. The convenient ride to the other part of the Park was easy to find and had a good amount of buses running to where you really didnt have to wait long overall its a good fun family place to go on a hot day

Just went today after they reopened. Very poor experience. Only one side is open. There are way too many people there. Why make a reservation if you have to wait 20-30 minutes just to get into the wave pool every time you want to get in. On top of that, there was 0 social distance in the lines . Everyone was on top of each other. Limit the reservations to 100 per day max and things will flow smoother . Only giving 2 stars because they did do temperature checks at the entrance and staff did clean tables after people left .

The season pass is very misleading because during the pandemic we’re asked to make reservations (understandable) and when you go to the reservations page it has availability however once you purchase the tickets the available slots disappear. So it makes it seem like you can buy tickets and book the day that you want when in reality it isn’t available and your stuck with very expensive tickets that you cannot use on your preferred dates. I tried calling to which most of the time I was sent to voicemail. I left messages and never got a call back. When I finally called in and got a representative I was told that I would get a call back shortly. It’s been two days. I’ve yet to receive a call back. Furthermore, I have to go the new braunfels location to get my season pass prior to using it in Galveston since it’s a two park pass. But you cannot get into new braunfels without a reservation and of course there’s no availability on the only day that I can go. So I’m now stuck with season passes that I paid $320 for and cannot use. I miss the old schlitterbahn.

I was told by some of the employees they were short on staff because most were returning back to school. I also tried to buy tickets online for discount but site was down and was told my lady at ticket window that it happens sometimes. So long story short, I paid full price for half operated rides. First I wanted to say that I love the park so much and have been going for over 15 years. I love the lazy rivers and slides but the most of all I love just relaxing in one of the pools throughout the parks especially the secluded pool in the Blastenhoff picnic area. My friend and I have driven from Houston just to hangout in that pool thats it. Might be far for some people to drive just to hang out at ONE pool for the whole day but that is how much I love Schlitterbahn. Covid has put a damper on operations throughout all amusement parks. So I do understand that not everything could be open due to social distancing. Our expectations this weekend was the most disappointed Ive ever experience. We would have love to see signage on what is open and what is not.. Maybe there was and I didnt see it. We stayed in the pools at Surfenburg. We werent able to do the lazy river nor the wave pool at Blastenhoff because of capacity issues. Yes we could have waited to do both but our thoughts were already negative with the disappointment of everything we wanted to do was closed. We went and tried it out but was not too happy with the prices we paid. My argument that bothers me the most was the price we paid for the tickets. I think if the prices could be more reasonable with what attractions are operating would set a better expectation for the guests who love visiting the park. I was going to wait until next year or whenever the pandemic is over. We decided to try it out and experience the park because me personally have not missed going at least once throughout the 15 years. I will not be one of those people who i read that will not go back again. Those people are petty. Still have love for the park and will continue going for years to come. I just had to share my thoughts and the frustration I had. Peace and Love

Overall a fun place, I highly recommend going on an off day. Weekends and holidays are overcrowded. They are not very handicap friendly imo. My son is capable of riding everything but he has really still joints so all the stairs are very difficult for him and exhausting. Then you have the people who will have a child or two get in line while someone else brings the floats and just like that another 3 or 4 people in front of you. That becomes annoying especially when youve been in line over 30min. Once the park is crowded, good luck getting floats to the lazy river or wave pool. No one wants to get off and there is no system for getting them from the people getting off. People literally walk up the river to grab them from people. We waited an hour and managed to grab 1 float. Lastly you would think with this Texas heat and all the money they make by now they would have canopies or something over the line while waiting for the buses to take you to the other side. We do love this place and come yearly but from now on only on off days.

During our resort stay our BMW key fell in a uncovered pole apart of a stair railing. We contacted the office and they sent maintenance employees to help us pull the car remote out from the 6 foot pole that was partially in the concrete. After a full night of using vacuums, long sticks, metal hangers, magnets etc, we decided to quit and try in the morning. The next day my kids wanted to go to the water park until they found out they needed to renew the wrist bands, but unfortunately our new wrist bands were stuck in the BMW, which was locked. So for two complete hours my kids were stuck inside, waiting for maintenance to take out the key. I then suggested that we weld the pole open to retrieve the car remote at the bottom, and thankfully the main man in charge allowed us too. We tried that and the key was too far down in the concrete, so we tried pouring water in it and unfortunately it didn’t float.Right before we decided to give up, a new maintenance employee arrived and was determined to help my vulnerable family. He sat there for approximately 30 minutes and spun the key up to the surface using a metal hanger and the assistance of water. His name was EDDIE, and he saved our entire trip and day.I’m giving this water park 4 starts because of EDDIES amazing personality and determination, and I’m taking a star away because the office couldn’t give my kids a temporary wrist band until we were able to unlock the car and get them.THANK YOU EDDIE!!

However, as someone whos only been twice now, I find it really, frustratingly difficult to find my way around. Its so compact and multi-layered. So much spins off from the main building, but you cant always get there from here. There are multiple stairways. Some lead to rides. Some lead to other levels and more stairs. We just wanted to find the entrance to The Cliffhanger! (Head down, toward the river... somehow.) Also, youd better like your water shockingly refreshing, because thats your option. Well, the adorably-lame wave pool is quite warm, go there to thaw.

Loved it here! Will be looking into buying a seasons pass, as well as a potential overnight stay next year. The cabana was totally worth it, and the east park is great. We were able to get on most rides in a timely manner and the number of casual attractions they have are great. Would definitely recommend whether you are local or just visiting!

My family and I had a great time! We got there pretty early paid for the preferred parking (worth it) and waited a few minutes for the doors to open and got right in. We went straight to find a table and buy a locker (worth it) and put on sun screen and got ready to go in the water rides. We got to ride the first four or five pretty quickly and they were fun.

Schlitterbahn has been my favorite waterpark for years! My parents brought me as a child every summer, and now I bring my family every summer too! My kids are 12 and 18. They still love it! All of the rides are worth the wait. Its worth staying at the resort for early ride time since you can get some of the most popular rides done before the day visitors arrive. There are 3 different parks, the main one is my favorite, but the 2 other parks have great rides too!
