Dirty and dated condos, neglected grounds, everything in disrepair. This is not a resort, feels more like a rundown community on its last leg. Never again. New Bern is a great little town, but find somewhere else to stay.
Great room at a nice resort. Pretty quiet place though but great for relaxing. New Bern is a fun place to visit and just down the road from Fairfield Harbour. Check out Beer Army Burgers for a super burger and good craft beer. Overall we had a great time!
The people were nice and tried to accommodate but u spent I first day of my only 2 days here messing with maintenance and people in office. I had to make them do their job to move me or fix the phone in my room. I had no wifi and no home phone in the condo. They did move me into another condo after I pushed them all day long. Wasted time. Its very outdated and has roaches, hence they have roach spray in each condo. I do believe windjammer might be more updated. Im a little appalled about the ficus tree and dirt on each condo. Cant be healthy and can draw bugs inside. Just a little info if you are squeamish of bugs or green carpet and hard beds. It does have alot of room. Just needs updated badly. Its a little out on the boonies. Its just not for me. I would have liked a little more modern feel and look and a better mattress.
Nice place but its organized poorly.
Typically expect accommodations to be better than at home- not the case.
For a couple reasons. One the last unit we stayed in was infested with roaches!!Secondly we stayed there for three years getting moved every five months.September was our last month.Thats when we had the hurricane. We were told to leave and were promised a refund for the month since they had us leave. We were supposed to get 1,000 back.Well it took them weeks and when they did it was only 100!! We were very good tenants and were told that If its wasnt for us some months they didnt have any money coming in and thats what we get!100 bucks!!!
Never got to stay there place was closed and i could not get an ansewer at the door phone or any thing. Why did expedia send us to a hotel that was closed. My wife son and myself had to sleep in our car which. Was dangerous for my son who has to have a cpap machine.i will not use expedia nor recommend it a gain.
We arrived but it was closed. We came all the way from California with reservation but no one contact us due to hurricane damages
Currently staying here now.Upon arrival the following concerns were present:Some of the provided dishes, Pyrex, and flatware had food stains, caked on food, and some if not most provided with had a hint or obvious hard water stain somewhere on it.The water when turning on the hot water smelled of sulfur (?) they sent out their maintenance to fix the issue.(Let hot water water run out in the sink closest to the front door of the place. For approximately 5-10 minutes.)Told to give a call back if the hot water still smells.Later upon my return from coming back going out thought I smell sulfur still...Next morning noticed sulfur in the saltwater my wife made for me to gargle (sore throat)...Upon verification when the dishes and flatware were replaced I asked about the air filter being if cleaned or not as well. The air filter was clean but the initial cover was dusty itself. (Someone replaces the air filter but not clean the cover of the dust? Makes me ask if they clean the airways next if they cut already so many corners)I am wondering if it is worth me trying to barter with the manager here about the downfall or they just apologize and say hope everything works out better next time.Reading previous review about cockroaches infestation I cannot say I have seen any.But then again my questions remain...Is this really a “profitable” location?Such questions reside at these questions:1. When have or will these units be renovated with 1970-1980s jet jacuzzi tub?2. What is up with “not” being able to fill the entire jacuzzi with hot water? Before it turned Halfway or competently filled the water gets cold... seriously? Granted it said in the guide comes with in the unit to use both hot and cold water. ( but why if it is a jacuzzi... isn’t that the point of a jacuzzi to be toasty?) Did I mention obvious hard water stains on the tubes pushing out the water and drain?3. There is no direct Guidance on how many or what type of cups, plates, silverware, or etc... provided in the guide provided or what they should look like “clean or dirty”.4. There was a couple broken pieces or “not perfect condition” furniture/wall marks inside the unit to include a clothes dresser drawer not opening or closing very easily.Majority of the observations I have seen was mentioned but not everything.5. Why should someone staying in a “resort” type location need to bother with so much hassles and stress?6. Did I mention my question about why there isn’t a water softener?Upon my complete stay of this “resort” my plan is to relay all my concerns listed in this post repeat copy and paste them ask why this is listed with the partners, associates, or club of whoever associated this as an adequate “resort” pending any change of heart or improvements I see.If this place is concerned about their impact for others to stay there it must currently have an overwhelming low worry. If they are actually concerned maybe they are on the brink of “bankruptcy” and can’t afford better accommodations and or more effective management of maintenance and upgrades.Maybe I am wrong and it is due to overwhelming incompetence of proper actions and proper communication for expectations I had for my stay from the current designated management.Am I willing to post a secondary if offered another stay for a fraction or none of my current cost I am paying now? Depends...But at the end of my post maybe I am just obsessively compulsively distressed (OCD) about everything I had expected to “not” need seeing or experiencing...
The location is isolated. Rooms are outdated but nice enough. We are having a nice time. Access to many lovely towns.
Its was musty smelling and dead bugs on the floor and in the sofa bed
Dated. Thought it would have been updated in the last 25 years.
Great place to take the family. Many things to do and good size pool outside, small indoor pool.
Very nice resort. Condo was spacious and clean. Very nice for our family visit.
Stayed at a timeshare. Functional, nice. Decor a bit dated.
Ceiling leaked, out dated, but has a comfort of home vibe to it.
Great resort - peaceful and clean.
Never been there
Loved it
