My family received incredibly poor service. I was listing 2 properties in the same community that Bill resides in and focuses his sales within.I chose to list 1 property with Bill and not the other which seemed to have created a sense of resentment towards my husband and I. This was noted in subsequent personal insults in one of his many insulting written communications to us.After some time passed with our listing, we noticed no activity, no showings or open houses. I simply and politely asked him some very reasonable questions that a seller would naturally ask about this.He was very late to respond and when he did reply his rapport was incredibly unprofessional. He sent me a series of unprovoked, aggressive and insulting personal attacks via text and email.I understand that the home sales have dropped in our community and that Bill expressed to us that he sees himself as the exclusive realtor in our community. However, despite frustrations, the consumer bringing you business and the listing deserves to be treated in a respectful manner, especially when they have been polite to the realtor.His arrogance and belittling demeanor are inexcusable.I do not recommend this agent. He does not appreciate and respect his clients. He will leave you feeling that you should be honored to have retained his services, that you should allow him to handle things as he pleases without your input. We believe, based on his written responses, that his expectation is that you are to be subservient and silent about your property.He may respond and say that we “were difficult sellers” as I have seen him respond in a review to another client, however it is Bill Sontag that is difficult.
