Knoch Knolls is a great place to go for a run, bike or walk. A one mile paved trail with gentle hills connects the nature center with the sports complex. Another paved trail takes you to 95th. Some dirt trails wind around the park, including wide trails and some pretty technical single track. Youll see deer at times. Very picturesque in the fall. Sometimes busy but never crowded. Parking lot can fill up on nice days / weekends.

One of Napervilles finest parks. A lot of different trails from mulch, dirt, asphalt. A little heavy in traffic, but once you are out of main area is gets quiet. Beautiful scenery surrounded by different branches of the river.

Migrating from Florida had me thinking—I’m leaving behind Abundance of Nature parks waterfront parks & trails, but Naperville proved me wrong.I’m so glad to be able to locate multiple parks in here for the city being a Park District, it’s highly likely I’ll stay close to mother nature.Today, I stumbled upon Knoch Knolls Nature Center/Park, a perfectly warm day for a visit to a place such as this. It’s a gigantic public setting offering— Multiple Trails, Picnic areas; some include fire pit & other rest areas, Kayaking, Playground for kids alongside engaging exhibits, keeping them busy for hours. My kiddo simply didn’t wanna return home. Need I say more?P.S— Ample Parking Spots, Accessible Parking available too!I found this park to be pretty Accessible for ECV & Strollers.#Nature #Park

I go here primarily for the disc golf course, but have used the trail a couple times. Its very nice and full of life. The disc golf course is geared toward mid to high level players. Advanced players would probably not be challenged by it. It does flood easily on hole 2, 5, 8 and 17. Theyre all in this valley next to the river and if theres a lot of rain then there will be a lot of mosquitos.

The new frolf course sucks now. I can only recommend five holes on it and two of those five are basically unchanged from the old one. All the new holes are either straight ahead boring holes or they are designed for left handed throws. The designer ruined a good course with this uninspired dribble. Take the effort drive to Shorewood or Joliet to see how a good course looks.

BE CAREFUL OF THE CURRENTS ON A TUBE!!!Yesterday - June 27th, my buddy and I were tubing down a river, where we were suddenly caught off guard, flipped, and lost our phones, wallets, and car keys to the current. After navigating our way off the river, we began our long trek in one direction until we found somewhere that we could ask for help. After 3 hours in the 90 degree sun, in nothing but swim trunks and Cut up bare feet, we arrived at this complex. After walking into to other stores next to subway, and being denied entry due to no masks, we approached the subway with low hopes. We walked in and expressed our situation to the workers, and with no hesitation, they pulled out their phones and Ubered us to the nearest AT&T so that I could buy a new phone to get home. While we waited they gave us cups of water and rehydrated us. I truly appreciate this subway and the crew that was working at 4:30 PM on June 27th. But more importantly, don’t take the river for granted.

Was only able to get to #5 because the mosquitoes were so bad it was overwhelming the fun of disk golfing. i went July 10th of the year so bring plenty of bug spray if you want to attempt this course. I did how ever like the hooks on each post where you start. and like how it tells you where to find the next hole

Id heard of this park from my wife, who raved about it. I actually had never visited and thought it was just a, well, regular park. What I saw was a really, really wonderful place with trails, a river, play areas, bike path and walking paths. So I looked around the place. This place is magnificent. Sure, Im not a nature guy, but I was impressed. I looked for litter all over and found a single ear bud cushion. Yeah. The single piece of litter I could find was obviously dropped accidentally. Does Monk run this place? Im impressed. And it was just down the road. Wow.

Great open course that has a few long holes that allow you to really let loose. Not too many holes that you have to worry about underbrush/trees. Course is very well maintained, but can get pretty wet on some holes during spring/early summer. Some holes do play next to the river so bring bug spray.

Knoch knolls is a gorgeous park, the baskets and tees are in great shape, and all holes have a sign with no graffiti. At every basket there is a stone in the ground pointing toward the next tee so its easily navigated. Plus the holes provide a good mix of 100ft + shots, to 300ft + giving players of all levels a chance to birdie.Lastly its in a very nice part of town, so its really well cared for.The back half of the course even stretches along a public road giving you a more inclusive vibe. Its like having an audience watching you tee off. Ive been told the park district building does sell discs, but Im not sure. Never been inside.

I enjoy this park a lot. You have numerous outdoor activities going on there. You can do disc golf, nature walks along the river, deep wood walks or even pavement and prairie walks. They have a kayak and canoe launch site as well. All trails are also open for mountain biking and the park features some nice single track trails. On the other end are other athletic facilities including baseball diamonds, tennis courts and a roller hockey or ice rink depending on the season.

We go walking and biking here all the time. Ive posted a million pictures to google maps of this park, including fall and winter photographs. There are paved bike/walk trails and unpaved walking trails. There is plenty of parking here, but its not that far to bike as we often do. The park has a skate hockey rink, a couple of basketball courts, a couple of baseball fields AND a great forest to explore, which is what we do. There is a walking trail entrance about 20 feet along the bike trail from the parking lot near Royce Rd that is a great start to a 3 mile round trip walk. The walk is mostly in the shade of trees. Theres the DuPage river to the north and west and south. This area is almost an island as the river is on 3 sides. The elevation gain is not too bad. The paved paths can be used by wheelchairs. This is just an all around great place for everyone to experience. Its pretty cool that a place as forested as this is so close to home.

This is a great park. I came here with my two nieces (3 &1). There is a great indoor area with a large aquarium and other animals, like turtles and snakes. The outdoor play ground was also good for my nieces. There were swings, slides and other sections appropriate for young children. We also played in the large open fields nearby which were great for running as fast as possible.

Not an incredibly extensive or diverse trail network for real hiking but a really great place to take small kids to introduce them to hiking and outdoor activities. There are decent views of the river from trails along the bank that are a little spoiled, if youre looking for strictly nature views that is, by the very affluent homes built across the river. The picnic area adjacent to the nature center is very nice with large old shade trees. A fun place for not-to-demanding trail runs or mountain biking after work in the evenings if youre close by.
