Great wine and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We are not wine drinkers and never did a tasting before. The lady walked us through everything and was very helpful and a great experience!

I recently took a group of 12 girls for my daughters bachlorette party. My tour company booked the last stop with this winery and all I can say it that the staff was the most unprofessional group of employees gathered in one place at one time.They sent our whole group of tipsy girls down a staircase to sit away from the rest of the customers and proceeded to tell the customers how they had gotten rid of our kind. One of our girls actually heard this come out of the mouth of the manager of the winery. When confronted, she did not back down, stating that she didnt know we were a bachlorette party or we would not have been booked at all. But that was not true, because we actually had a drink with the bride of another bachlorette party in the same winery as we got there. She was in a beautiful glass room inside the winery, while we were exiled to the back yard to sit by ourselves as if we were lepers. Maybe we just were a little too ethnic for this winery.So if your planning a wine tour, I suggest you skip this winery! I would hate for anyone else to have to go through this type of discrimination.

This was such a lovely and personal experience! We were helped by Hannah, the manager, to understand what we were drinking. She took our personal tastes into account and even poured us a couple extra wines that she thought we might like based on our conversation. My favorite was the Noria and Tarpon (sp?) wines we had. Hannahs help during our visit really made the difference between Silenus and other tasting rooms, she was so lovely and helpful and not at all judgmental of our wine expertise (or lack therof)!The only (and I mean ONLY) thing that marred our trip was a very loud, inconsiderate group of women (might have been a bachelorette party because one woman was wearing a sash, but we thought it said MILF on it so maybe not. Whoever thought that was appropriate for the Napa Valley is beyond me...). They were hooting and hollering up a storm and actually left the bathroom a papery mess. I can appreciate the value of an open door and Silenus welcoming spirit, but I do wish some people would learn how to behave in a place of business, let alone a really nice winery like this one. If you cant behave like an adult when theres wine nearby, maybe you should stay on the bus.

Nice experience. Not a stand out. They allow other wine makers to make wine here so the tasting includes Silenus wines as well as a rotation of wines from other wine makers. Of the 4 wines I tried one was something I would buy and the other were not stand out.Tasting room was very busy when we came even though its by appointment only. Felt like a more commercial experience.

Very nice hostess and the facility is clean. We just didnt enjoy the wine selection that much.

Scot is a fabulous host. Very knowledgable and entertaining. This is our first exposure to an artisan Vintner. It is a great concept. It is a sunny day and the grounds are beautiful.

I love this place and always have a great experience here. A hidden gem in the Valley which features excellent wines, beautiful setting, a lovely tasting room and staff that are very friendly and knowledgeable! You really get a great deal here because this is a custom crush winery so not only can you taste and purchase the wonderful Silenus brand wines, you also get the opportunity to sample a wide variety of great wines from other Napa Valley vintners on their rotating menu. This is a great place to stop for those looking for something a little off the beaten path, and why waste your day rushing around trying to visit a bunch of wineries in one day when you can experience the same amount of variety under one roof?

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff; 5 out of the 6 wines on the regular tasting list were fantastic, and we ended up purchasing 2 of them. Definitely make this a stop on your Napa Valley wine tour!

Super nice people, loved the small feel to the place and wine, coming from wine country myself, this winery has high quality in small quantity which was the best we had in our visit to Napa. Highly recommended !!! Hanna our host was knowledgeable and sweat, made our stay enjoyable and fun.
