One of the wineries in the duckhorn family that focuses on red blends. Really enjoyed the vibe here, relatively low key with both inside and outside here.Wine tasting came with cheese and crackers, and you can get more ;). Always nice as you can get a sense of the wine by itself or with food. The blends were nice, coming from either the valley or mountain ranges. They are not overpowering and very easy to drink.
Paraduxx never disappoints, the Duckhorn family is wonderful! See Samm if you got, shes an amazing wine educator.
Started with a basic tasting reservation and branched well outside of that before the leaving. Our host was excellent and walked us through the various wines available and options for joining a club. We ended up trying roughly 10 wines over the morning. Our tasting had started early so we had our choice of seats outside, we chose to sit right next to the vineyard at one of the tables just on the other side of the pavilion. I do recommend that. One of us ended up joining a club before we left.
I have to echo others sentiments that the level of service was very bad. We had booked a wine and cheese tasting. We were handed a few measely chunks of cheese, given a 20 second intro to the wine and were left to ourselves. No one talked through the wine or the cheese. Meanwhile the staff was standing chatting amongst themselves inside with nothing to do.This was a really disappointing experience and I do not recommend it.
Scheduled a 10:30am tasting last weekend and had the MOST incredible time with our host, Amanda. She was every inch of what customer service is. Her knowledge, humor and ability to show care for our experience at Paraduxx set the bar so high for our family’s time in Napa. She got to know us and found out what types of wines we were into and brought them out on top of the tasting. We ended up leaving with 10 bottles solely because of the experience she set for us. Definitely returning to Paraduxx and look forward to sipping more there!
Sammi is the best!Thank you for a memorable day!!!
Love it Sam was the best the wine supurb!! Love the duckhorn family !!
We loved doing wine tasting at Paraduxx Winery!! They have great modern blend red wines, all of them tasted so delicious. Their service is very personalized, server sits down with you and explains you each blend and each grape hay contains each wine. The history of the winery and the Duckhorn family. We would definitely come back to Paraduxx. They sell candles made with wine essence that smell very intense and fresh.
Scheduled a 10a tasting this past weekend and it was an amazing experience. Casual, modern, and relaxed. Our wine guide was Miguel; if you get a chance, request his expertise. He is passionate, knowledgable, and has an easy manner that I highly recommend. The wine was amazing, and Miguel was great; you could tell he understood wine at a deep level having grown up in the valley, and was so happy to share his interpretation (but in a very friendly, engaging, and casual way). Thanks again for the amazing morning. Had we not had a second reservation down the road, we would have stayed all day! Will be back again. Id recommend the Proprietary White :)
Casual, wine tasting was very nice. I appreciated the blends they had. Staff was very helpful, kind, knowledgeableand personable. The Parking lot was close to entrance. Parking was free. Wine tasting had crackers and cheese with 4 red blend tasting when we went. They had information on each wine below. I enjoyed the vaulted ceilings inside. This is a dog friendly place on leashes, they offer leashes to use if you forgot yours. Venue was clean. They had seating indoor and outdoor. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Also, had an electric car charging station. Plus, a small gift store inside.
Wow did we love it here! Having been to Duckhorn before, my boyfriend and I really wanted to taste the blends this location had to offer. In my opinion, worth the 40 bucks to taste their blends. Lana was super friendly and helped explain what we were tasting. Ordered a few bottles and the shipping here was only five bucks. If in the area, treat yourself and stop by.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My husband and I did the blending experience and it was fantastic. Miguel was our guide and he was awesome. Super knowledgeable, funny, easy to talk to, and passionate. We started with a short tour of the grounds while we enjoyed two different Paraduxx wines. Then we were taken to a large, shaded table out back where we had 4 pours of wine and 3 barrel samples. First we worked with the barrel samples, blending them in different proportions to create differing flavors. It was really interesting! Then we sampled 4 of the Paraduxx blends. Needless to say, Paraduxx is better at blending than we were lol. The grounds were beautiful and every staff member we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be part of this company. We wound up taking several bottles with us. Cant wait to come back!
One of the best wine tasting experiences in Napa! Knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious wines, beautiful tasting area.
Joe-el made our experience amazing! We loved all the wine and the winery is dog friendly! We became members and cant wait to visit again! Highly reccomend!
This place is awesome! My friend had previously visited just two weeks ago and insisted we come back to this place. We had an outdoor cabana to do our tasting in and we got so many extra free tastings even after finishing the regular tasting. I love that they bring all of them on a tray for you, plus excellent cheese and crackers, so you’re not in a rush to finish every tasting and can go back to the ones you like. After we left and went to another winery we were disappointed that we didn’t end up at this place and spend the rest of the afternoon here. Will be back for sure!
Visited Paraduxx for the first time today with my pup. Amanda was our host, and she was fantastic. Paraduxx specializes in red blends—my faves were the block 4 and x squared. The basic tasting is 40 and comes with delicious cheese and crackers. You’ll enjoy their relaxing outdoor tasting yard.
Beautiful winery and great wine; however, my experience with their service was very poor and for this reason I would not recommend this winery.
Very interesting place. Almost all the wines are blends. They focus on this making tasting a more exciting adventure. Ambiance is more modern and the pairings were also creative. Great place to experiment and branch out of your comfort zone.
Had a really fun experience here with a wine tasting on the expansive back patio. Staff was very friendly and even customize your last tasting option based on your preferences!
A phenomenal wine experience with Miguel and Oscar. Worth the visit if you’re in Napa and looking for something high quality and non traditional.
Wines are good but the outdoor space and friendly staff set this place apart.
Very family unfriendly, no kids allowed, staff just shunned us out
We visited yesterday after Caymus winery tasting, paraduxxit was very poor! Very impersonal and too expensive per person for what you get. The young man spent only 5 mins with us and zipped through 5 different wines, didnt wait for us to really enjoy each wine. No wine glass ($40 per person) to take with us, sitting in the back yard was sparse, patio sets were unorganized, there was nothing positive to take from this place. Would never recommend this winery to all my family or friends...not worth the stop with so many more experience d winerys to choose from Martha Peoples.
Great wine and service! Amazingly accommodating and friendly.
Beautiful property and great tasting experience. These wines were of the best we tasted in Napa. Fantastic blends. Winemaker Don LaBorde is doing amazing things here.
Excellent Excellent. Great afternoon with Eric Alex and Miguel. Great wine great company and great service
This is our favorite vineyard in Napa to visit. The wine is insane and the staff is always extremely warm and welcoming. We love chatting it up with our tasting host and enjoying a seat outside when the weather permits. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of upscale and comfortable, very well done. Definitely a Napa Valley must!!
The grounds were cool, its a very relaxed chill vibe. The tasting was a good price and they included a little plate of delicious cheeses to pair with the wine. We thought the tasting of 4 wines all kind of blended together. Our guide was super chatty and knowledgeable of Paraduxx but instead of going through and explaining each wine as we go he did it all at once before we sampled so the info was never retained.
I highly recommend the blending experience at Paraduxx. We were with a mixed crowd and it was such an entertaining adventure. Not sure what to expect, I realized that everyone can learn something from this experience, whether you are a novice or a verified wino :) I must add that the service and the outdoor seating area at Paraduxx also took our amazing visit to an outstanding level.
Great wine and outdoor lounge. Paraduxx captured a genuine California wine experience. Sitting outside enjoying the perfect weather, sipping amazing wine, snacking on cheese and crackers. Exploring Rector creek and the architecture of their buildings that absorb the natural light coming in. Paradox is my favorite winery in Napa.
Great wines with a wonderful outdoor tasting area. Great cheese plate. Very casual vibe.
Great time! Great wines! John was a hoot!
Customer service was amazing! Great wine
One of our favorites when in Napa...Augustino is superb with his intouch of clientele...we will definitely be back next year...
Great service, beautiful setting and fabulous wine!!!
Its a wonderful place to visit, taste one of the best wines in Napa Valley and be relax enjoying the nature.
I love this Winery!
Of the four wineries we visited during our trip to Napa, Paraduxx certainly provided the nicest facilities, with large areas for sitting both inside and out, it was an excellent place to sit back and relax with some nice wines and enjoy the company of others.Of course, this also comes at a cost - the most expensive of our trip, regardless of the $20 or $30 tastings. I thought the free cheese pairing that came with the wine was a nice idea, but the singular cracker per person was a little stingy, regardless of if it was intended as an accompaniment for the cheese or to be used as a palette cleanser.
If I could leave six stars I absolutely would. Cannot say enough good things about this vineyard and it’s amazing staff not to mention the awesome wines. My wife and I live on the East Coast and look forward to coming to Napa to really get away and relax when we are able. Every time we are in Napa without fail we visit Paraduxx at least twice as well as Duckhorn. Johnny Bond, Augustine (sorry I know I misspelled), and the rest of the wonderful crew help to make Paraduxx what it is consistently and without fail. Nice laid-back vibe with zero pretentiousness and always a lot of fun. Great people who truly love the wine and what they do and always a huge pleasure to be there and visit with them. Can’t wait to be back later this year. You guys rock please don’t ever change!
Good wines and great views. Very cool guys pouring, so theyll easily extend a standard tasting by 3-4 more wines easy.
Love this place perfect outdoor setting for amazing wine
We were sent here by Victor at duckhorn. (we LOVED our tasting at duckhorn and left with some bottles of wine). We felt like the staff at Paraduxx were abrasive and condescending. We did not enjoy our experience. If we did not have such an enjoyable experience at duckhorn this review would have been lower, and we never leave reviews let alone bad ones. This winery left a sour taste on our day...
One of my favorite wineries to visit. Their tasting room/ porch is a great place to enjoy friends, enjoy wine, and enjoy the scenery.
One of my favorite wineries in Napa. Very comfortable outdoor seating where you can sit back and relax with a few glasses of wine. Part of the Duckhorn wine family, Paraduxx is unique in that theyre known for their blends.
Pricey tasting experience, but well worth it. Beautiful and dog friendly outdoor setting.
Great wine, great staff, great atmosphere!
Great experience by Josh!
Nice spot, nice blends, nice service. Id go back for sure.
Their wine bar tender is rude and not nice. Place is so so ... you can try much better wineries to go to.
After a great visit at Duckhorn last year we decided to give this winery a try and were equally pleased. Our tasting guide had a great sense of humor and guided us through the focus of Paraduxxs wines paired with a great education about the area. The $30 tasting fee was more than reasonable considering many more modest wineries charge almost as much for 3-4 tastes while this winery gave us five (from bottles retailing $45-$95) plus two additional samples from sister wineries (Duckhorn and Goldeneye) to expose us to their other offerings. Did I mention the beautiful patio? Great value, personable tour, and amazing wine.
We had a really great experience here! it was our last winery (we went to cakebread and peju) and by far my favorite. One of the reason is the atmosphere. It is definitely not your traditional tasting. We pay up front $25 and get 6 tastings plus a side plate with cheese.Once you pay, you go out back and find a spot in back. There are tons of comfy chairs and tables where we were able to relax and hang out during our tasting. We also brought our own crackers and cheese out to eat. After a few minutes, our tasting guide brought out our wines and explained each one of them. After he left, we were able to drink at our leisure. This is a place to go if you like Zinfandel blends. The Rose was pretty good as well as the Reflection. The 2006 paraduxx was pretty good as well. The cheapest bottle was about $23 and the go quickly up after that for about $60 for the 2006 paraduxx.
Delicious wine selection, very relaxed environment, and extremely pleasant and engaging staff. A must stop for a relaxing afternoon.
Great people. Wonderful atmosphere.
Very good
