The Nantucket Hotel & Resort

The Nantucket Hotel was one of the nicest, most romantic stays weve ever had. The service was fantastic, with everyone helping to assure a wonderful experience at every turn. The rooms were beautiful, with fantastic views and access to downtown Nantucket via quaint cobblestone streets. The perfect spot to stay to enjoy Nantucket and explore the island via bike. They even provided pick up and drop off service to the ferry which was convenient.

Fantastic Hotel. Wonderful staff and amazing accommodations. I only had the pleasure of staying one night, but it was one of the best hotel experiences Ive ever had. Short walk or drive from the ferry and there is a nice small beach within a five minute walk that is an excellent place to watch the sun rise. Make sure you get back for breakfast, you wont regret it.

Great find. White Elephant who? Place kills the white elephant, except for the water view, but for about a third the price, no discussion. Far better work out room than WE, 2 pools, classic veranda for cocktails, perfect location.

I attended a wedding recently in Nantucket and stayed at The Nantucket Hotel. I booked the suite called The Point which has some very nice views of the ocean. Service was excellent. The van acted as our uber around town to the various events for the wedding. Room was very nice. Great water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was good. I did not eat a la carte so cant comment on that. I think the only downside to this hotel was that there was no room service and if you are looking for a late night snack you need to go outside the hotel to get something. Other than that, a great place to stay.

Perfect selection on nantucket. The staff is accommodating to each and every need. The food and atmosphere are one of the best on the island. A must see.

Superb Resort really good place to stay with your family, the location is perfect amazing location great place for a relaxed vacation.. I stayed here for five days with my family and really enjoyed here, They provide superb customer services you get really good place for parking. The staff is really good they really friendly and helpful, The rooms were really well cleaned. The housekeeping service is really good they are there in time. The pool is really amazing itss an outdoor pool has really great view outside, enjoyed really good time in the pool. 5 stars!!!

We stayed at the Nantucket Hotel during Daffodil weekend and for my nieces wedding. It was a fantastic 4 days. We cannot say one bad thing about our experience. The GM, Jamie, and all staff members were so hands on and so gracious, and generous they made you feel so special. By day 3 we knew everyones name and we were treated like family. If I go back to Nantucket I will definitely be staying at this hotel.

This place is great. Their restaurant serves good food and is a good place for events, or to relax. Their staff are all kind and courteous. One of the coolest things are the vintage vehicles out front. One is a 1937 school bus, and it works! The hotel will take you anywhere, and you can request the ride is in the bus. The rooms are quite nice, I like how they did the layout of the bathroom and shower. Very well done.

Hands down the absolute number 1 accommodations my husband & I have ever stayed at. The staff are above and beyond committed to customer service, Greg the manager beyond kind and out performed his job more than any person in his position has ever served, I literally asked him if he owned the hotel & resort because he is the kind & committed. Pam & Mel were awesome. Bill & Damian @ the bar above & beyond. The morning staff for breakfast were sooo unreal nice I can’t explain it. This hotel & resort is above and beyond. Can we talk about there pick up service & drop off service? Omg! They pick you up and drop off w/out question. The fitness gentleman was sooo awesome & fit. I wanted to do a massage but didn’t have time but if you were going to do a massage I can’t imagine the service you would receive. This place is just over the top above and beyond! If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

This beautiful hotel is absolutely beautiful,inside and out. The owners, Mark and Gwen, really care about their guests and made my son and I feel like we were the most important people there. The room was so clean and is exactly what Nantucket is all about. There food was also incredible. Every single staff member we came across is top notch, they are so lucky to have found such a dedicated staff. We had such a good time at the New Years party, we will definitely try to do it again. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

This hotel is a much needed competitor to the NANTUCKET market. It’s clean and modern and reasonably priced. Service is fantastic!

This is a very kid friendly hotel. The staff is kind, helpful and very accommodating to families. They have thought of it all from chocolate chip cookies to adorable whales for the kids baths!

If you do make reservations with the Nantucket, be sure to pay for their extortive insurance policy. Our family suffered a tragic, sudden loss a month before we were to stay here. My wife reached out to them weeks ahead of the stay and they told us that, because we didnt pay their insurance, our stay was entirely non-refundable. Instead, they gave us a credit that could only be used during their slow season. Enjoy your $1,600, Nantucket. This will be the last time we buy local knowing that larger businesses are more understanding.

The hotel is lovely, the staff is wonderful. We were contacted before our arrival to help with dinner and or other arrangements during our stay. We were warmly greeted on arrival and all of the staff have been extremely helpful, friendly and caring. Breakfasts are perfect. Coffee is phenomenal (sorry Starbucks - you have been replaced by Jims). This is the perfect place to escape to for needed pampering and relaxation.

High class accommodations and a superior menu! The rooms are very cozy and modern with a beautiful bathroom! The beds are soooo comfortable it makes it hard to want to get out of bed in the morning. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

I never write reviews but my husband and I just returned from spending New Years weekend at The Nantucket Hotel and I feel compelled to share my experience.We have been going to Nantucket for the past 25 years, and always stay at our favorite hotel, which was not open at this time of year. Hesitantly, we decided to take a chance and try The Nantucket Hotel. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were absolutely blown away by the outstanding level of customer service. From the lovely person who picked us up at the ferry to Greg at the front desk, who was so happy to accommodate our request for an upgraded room, to the waitstaff in the restaurant who served us (more than once) even though the kitchen was closed.We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the hotel, Mark, who is very personable and eager to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all guests to enjoy. Its obvious that he has instilled his ethic to each and every employee on his staff.Our room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. A nice touch is the complimentary continental breakfast .Were going to have a tough choice next summer!Shelby AldNYC

What a beautiful blend of historical and modern.We had a wonderful experience this weekend as we had never been to Nantucket Island. We couldnt stop taking pictures of every aspect of our stay, from the beautifully decorated room and lobby, to the delicious food, and even relaxing by the fire on the front porch Saturday evening.Your staff went above and beyond in every way to make us feel comfortable and cared for, including coming over and offering to take our picture so that we could preserve the experience and memory.And another thing we couldnt quit saying, was that the hotels location was perfect! We were able to walk back and forth to town for shopping, visiting tourist attractions, and relaxing.We will be telling every single person we know to seriously consider The Nantucket Hotel for their next vacation.Sincerely,Duane and Melesia Ziller

Atmosphere and customer service was fantastic

Very weird vibe at this place. Strange and odd quirky antique fire truck and bus are their mascots for some reason.Tries too hard but falls short.

Friendly staff. Great restaurant. Fitness center is excellent. Parking is great, and limited at other hotels on the island. Great treatment for special occasions, like an anniversary. Had champaign on ice and chocolates waiting for us upon check in and a nice card from the manager.

Tasteful, warm and friendly. Cheers to Jamie Holmes and his dedicated and professional staff for making our stay a most welcoming and special experience. A most inviting environment. They have already contemplated your every need.

Very attractive and great service

Great service and location. Employees are super attentive. Many facilities in hotel; gym, sauna, yoga, game room, pool, restaurant. Walking distance to downtown.

Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant with family. The service was wonderful and accommodating for 2 small children. My aunt ordered the lobster roll which was huge and looked delicious. I had an appetizer with fig, ricotta, prosciutto, and grilled fennel which was a nice combination of flavors and the lobster risotto with pancetta and English pea puree that was incredible. The property is new as of 2012 but still captures the Nantucket ambiance.

We stayed recently at The Nantucket Hotel, in one of the cottages. Very good food, great amenities (2 pools, gym, fitness program, spa). Staff service is excellent. Immaculate, comfortable, modern, with an old-fashioned feel. Convenient shuttles to beaches, and short walk to Town. Pricey, but worth it. Great place for vacation or destination wedding. Highly recommend it.

Fabulous customer service and accomodations.

My daughter lives in Boston and she took my husband and I to Nantucket for a short visit. We stayed at The Nantucket Hotel and it was wonderful! From the outside it is so charming with wide front steps leading to a beautiful covered porch lined with comfortable seating and outdoor fireplaces. The inside did not disappoint either. The lobby, sitting area, and restaraunt were so tastefully decorated in blues and whites, with touches of a nautical theme. Our 2 bed/2 bath room was so comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were amazing! The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and quick to respond to anything we needed. I have to say I was very sad to leave and wished we could have stayed longer.I have stayed in many hotels but this is truly one of the nicest in every way.

Great place for families with children. Classic Nantucket style with 2 pools and here since 1891 but totally renovated

We didnt stay here but our friends who did loved the place. It seems to be in a good location. We got extra chairs for the Boston pops which was a nice touch.

My now-wife and I elected to elope on the island and wanted a nice place to stay. The property far exceeded all expectations. The property was immaculate, the amenities (complimentary breakfast, gym, pool) were top in class, but the service was what stood out the most.Our wedding party was only three but Nantucket treated us like we sold out the place. From the welcome gift in the room to driving us to the beach in their fire truck, they treated us amazingly. And we know there was another wedding party at the property so it wasnt because they had nothing else to do.If you stay in Nantucket, do yourself a favor and stay at the Nantucket Hotel.

The rooms are lovely. They have great food at their restaurant. The location is a quick walk from the downtown, and the staff is super friendly and informative.

We stayed here on our honeymoon in Nantucket, and had an incredible experience. The hotel staff were extremely nice and even gave us a free room upgrade since it was our honeymoon! The customer service was impeccable: Greg Knapp, guest services manager, took great care of us from check-in to check-out, and even offered us use of the hotels courtesy car to drive to Sconset on our last day. Our room (the Spinnaker Suite) was large, clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the town and the water. Location was perfect (walkable to pretty much everywhere in town). Game room downstairs was fun when the weather didnt cooperate. One of the best hotel experiences weve had; Well definitely be returning here.

Incredible experience. Customer service was top notch--family friendly with plenty of things to do in game room (pool table, legos, monopoly and good coffee served on front porch). Server Wayne was exceptional at onsite restaurant. Will come back next year.

Best Hotel Ever AMAZING

This is our second day. The positive thing is about the staff! For the most part they are very friendly and professional! The rest of my comments arent as positive. Honestly, I am hoping that things get better. We had a choice of The Nantucket or White Elephant as we are accustomed to higher types of establishments. We are from Orange County, CA and use to staying and holding events at the St.Regis, Ritz, or Monarch Beach Club/Resort, We were actually surprised and quite disappointed with out room accommodations, constant noise of people, clanking plates, wild screaming, and running children all during the night after listed hours. These accommodations and our final bill will be quite pricey and that is fine! As long as the level of service, and overall experiences are superior. This is what we are accustomed and use to. My father just arrived after several weather delays and my mother & I are actually quite embarrassed for him to see this. I really hope that things get better and make a 180 degree turn! We love Nantucket but right now we reallay arentsure we would visit the isand again as we always do several times a year..
