Great place on Nantucket, super friendly staff. The steamers were fantastic, the accompanying broth even more so! The deviled eggs were quite good as well. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Food and food prices were good. Staff was helpful. Beer seemed quite over priced at $10 for anything on draft.

Stopped for drinks and appetizers when walking around town. Food and drinks were excellent. Shanon was our server, she was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit the next time we come to Nantucket.

Great service at the bar!! The food however is below average at best. I got the warm lobster roll. It consisted of low quality meat, mostly leg and small portion of claw. They charged $36!! I wont eat here again.

Im not sure if this is a hidden gem of Nantucket or not but, the cocktails and mocktails were incredible! Service and seating were spectacular too. We only got a couple of apps to share but both hit the spot nicely. We will be sure to visit again if we get back to the islands.

We had a quick dinner here before we took the ferry back to the mainland. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was delicious as was the flourless chocolate torte (both pictured). Great selection of beers and cocktails as well.

Unfortunately the staff arent the best. Our waiter forgot part of our order and insited we were wrong and never ordered it (he did not write anything down) we sat drinkless for sometime because the waiter only came to our table to take our order and drop our food and first drink off. I had to get the host in order to inquire about our missing food and to get a water, later we got her again for a beer. The food was OK but the island has great food everywhere. I suggest spending your money elsewhere, most of the island values their customers... this is not one of them

I had the best mouthwatering lobster roll and our service was excellent!!! It was perfect.

It was ok. I had Fish & Chips. I liked the batter, bit the fish was dry. The fries and Coke Slaw were good.

The Rose and Crown is my favorite spot to eat in Nantucket. It is unpretentious, decorated with signs from all the restaurants that no longer exist and has a great menu with plenty of veggie options.

Amazing bar/restaurant that has both inside and outside seating. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and staff is friendly.

Nice casual restaurant and bar. There are a wide variety of items on the menu. The bartender was friendly and made great drinks. The nachos were very cheesy with lots of jalapenos, scallions and tomatoes. I wish I had more time to try lots of items off their menu.

Very nice place, we showed up during the Ferry Rush and found a couple of seats at the bar.The bartender was great, she was attentive to our needs and checked on us often.The beer was cold and the selection included some local beers.The food was very good and the portions bordered on too much. My wife loved her burger and my fish and chips was fresh and tasty.Highly recommend stopping in to anyone visiting the island.

Very comfortable and friendly vibe at this sports pub. We arrived for a late lunch (when other nearby restaurants had already closed) and enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere at this great place. The food was not inexpensive ( meals for four and two drinks were about $100), but definitely worth the price, Id definitely return for another meal here. One of the great bonuses was our super friendly waiter who took time to chat with us about Nantucket and answered all our menu questions. Also he checked on us repeatedly during our meal and made sure we had no unmet needs. The staff had no problems with our special orders and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the multiple options for watching sports (one large screen projection and several large TVs), as the World Cup was on while we ate. This is a great place for groups and families, although it was loud, it was still easy to hold a conversation. The restrooms were clean and well kept up. There is a separate bar area where you can just have drinks if you dont want to sit at a table.

This has been the best place on Nantucket. The restaurant offers fresh food and is just really good. The waiters are so welcoming and friendly (we were served by Brad and he really did a great job). The bar and the music- 5 star. It was an amazing experience. I recommend it to everyone.

Check your bill. Staff arbitrarily assigns prices for the drinks and none of those prices are listed on the menu. Also, the bartender accidentally charged our card more than double what the bill was, but fortunately we caught it.

Good food. Nice entertainment and great atmosphere. The service was fast. We just stopped in to eat in the evening while we visited Nantucket Island for the day.

Do they accommodate large parties? Why yes, yes they do! We had a fantastic time here last month and really enjoyed the amazing food and super-friendly staff that went above and beyond for us. If youre on the island, go here for top notch food, booze and people.

Great fish and chips. French fries were delicious. Kids menu was sufficient, but service was slow around 5:30. Our group of eight was seated immediately, but food arrived about 40 minutes after ordering. Live band was good, but a bit too loud, given the early meal time.

Great spot to come and grab a bite and a drink. Whether waiting for the ferry or just to have a nice friendly spot, always a good spot to stop by!

Great bar....good crowd, affordable, (unlike manyother bars in Nantucket), good casual food, great beer selection.Only suggestion Id make is to carry some better Chardonnay.Fun atmosphere.

If you want to drain all the money on your credit card then eat at this place.

Very nice ambience. The food was great in taste and presentation. I was impressed with the number options for vegetarian dishes.

We went here for lunch and had a great experience. Our waiter Jeff was great. One of the kids in our group of 7 has multiple food allergies and its always a challenge going to a new restaurant. Jeff was extremely attentive to the allergy issue, writing them all down and bringing it to the chef, then coming back with some suggestions. We all really loved our meals and our experience with Jeff. Hes amazing. Be sure to ask for him when you go. You wont be disappointed. On a scale of 1 to 10....food: 10, service: 10+, overall 10... well be back for sure. Thanks Jeff and R&C!!!

My problem is as a selective eater, the menu was too vague for me. I ordered the Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese. Essentially described as a grilled cheese, but instead of cheese, it was Mac and cheese inside. What wasnt listed, and what I didnt know to ask about, was what else was inside. Turns out it had sriracha mayonnaise inside. For me, heat, even mild, and particularly mayonnaise, are absolute deal breakers, so once I got to the middle of the sandwich and hit it, my meal was over.

Not sure about the service. It started out great and then was virtually non existent when we finished our meal and wanted dessert. Business did pick up but I don’t think it was related.I had the taste of Nantucket. I was a little nervous as I am not a chowder fan and being here set the standards high. It was fabulous. The chowder was delicious. The fritters were not what I was expecting but very tasty. The lobster salad was the down side. The liberator was rubbery and over cooked.Hubby had the philly cheese sandwich. It was on the small side.We had the fried cheesecake for dessert. Wonderful. Tip for the kitchen- make it better by using cinnamon ice cream (our local restaurant does and in comparison it wasn’t as good).

Food is great! Atmosphere is great! Employees are great! Just a great place overall!

Atmosphere is fun. Mixed drink came with flat soda, asked for celery for bloody Mary and received 2 sticks so smalls we actually laughed. Med-rare and medium burgers came out very rare, sent them back asked for both medium, just to be safe...came back very well done...we ate them because we had already worked hard enough to get a decent meal. Waitress was fine...someone from back of kitchen did come out to mean mug us a few times. Btw...we never send food back, its embarrassing for us.

One of the Best Burgers on island with their Smoke House Burger! Transforms into a Dance club on Friday and Saturday Night playing top 40 and DJ requests. Thursday night and Sunday night (Sundays only in the summer) is Karaoke Night! Also has one of the biggest screens on island for catching the Sox or Pats games.

Went to the R&C for dinner with a friend from the states. It was his first roast dinner and he absolutely loved it, I devoured my amazing beef roast in just few minutes time! Delish relish! Staff is always welcoming and friendly!

Service is great, however food needs a bit if help. You can tell when eating the food there is some poor planning and exexution. For example ; fries taste like fish from cross cooking food in same oil. I ordered the southern grilled cheese and the pimento spread isnt pimento spread, the bacon was rubbery and bread was more toasted then grilled.

Fun, big bar and restaurant. Food is typically american bar food. Then at night the tables get moved out and the dance party begins. Big, fun tourist bar on popular summer weekends!

Very classy sports bar atmosphere with a great beer selection. If management is reading, the ladies behind the bar have not been nearly as class act as your establishment is.

A bit expensive but hey its Nantucket! I had the Fish and Chips and it was delicious. The Ceasar salad was good too. This place turns into a club at night - Im guessing that due to the huge Bose speakers on the wall and the disco balls on the ceiling. If you have to use the bathroom its near the front door and it is tiny.

We stopped in for happy hour and had a great time. Awesome beer selection and very reasonable oyster prices. Service was iffy, but didnt take away from the experience too much.

I was having a great night until I arrived at the Rose and Crown! The service and food were both as equally bad! Nachos, grilled cheese both dry with no flavor and a very poor wine selection. The staff seems untrained or trained by their very unexperienced, classless Assistant GM (Erikka). I am in the hospitality industry and in no way has this girl had any proper hospitality training. Its such a shame this place has gone downhill! I did at one time enjoy it, but now will advise all my friends and business colleagues to avoid it at all cost. I have never in my life been treated this badly at any other establishment!

This has always been one of our favorites on the island. Their chowder is the best! However, this year we noticed the obvious smaller portions for the same price. Fancy new plates and bowls equals smaller portions. You used to be able to make a meal out of the soup and an appetizer. The soup bowl is now the equivalent of a soup cup. We also ordered shrimp scampi...same size bowl so, we are talking a kids portion. A $5 side salad consisted of a handful of lettuce with a few additions. Sorry to say this is off the list of favorites...........Now just another rip-off.
