Millard’s helped make my wedding day the best. They helped with anything we needed and were on call/text for any details. I appreciated the fluidness of the whole experience with them! I was a little worried (because I rented from out of town) for the shape of the village (it is quite old and some weathered) but on the day of and decorating, you don’t even have time to look around you. I was able to decorate to my liking and have an awesome wedding day!
Great historic village, well worth the visit. For a $4 donation you get to explore the site on your own, we were the only visitors when we were there. Interesting to see how folks lived at the turn of the century in east Texas.
Me and my son had a great time. Would give 5 stars but not all the building were able to seen.
It is a great place to learn about the history of Nacogdoches as well as Texas. Many of the buildings are from Nacogdoches and surrounding areas. Their gift shop has many interesting toys, activities and books. If you want an enriching experience for your children, this is the place to go.
Great place to take a little walk and see some History. Theres 3 old houses, a few cabins, a general store and much more. Its free to walk around and they do have guided tours. It was over 100 degrees today, but some of the buildings are air conditioned so we were able to cool down. The grandkids loved it.
Nice for an historic landmark. A lot of effort went into preserving the buildings and personal effects of the last century. Could use some day in the life stories to give a better context of the people that lived and worked in these structures. Perhaps an audio track would help imagination with the contemporary sounds and smells.
This is by far the best place that I have ever gone. When i went here the first thing I noticed was my country heritage. I immediately remembered everything that happened on the farm. Everything is so old timey, you will forget that you are even in the 2000s! Oh, and bonus: if you pay a little extra you will get to experience all the old timey activities!
Great historic buildings
Mildly interesting walk through old Texas
Beautiful. Had a family wedding there and it was great!
Lovely quaint historical village. Great back drop for photo shoots. They also hold several events open to the public throughout the year. Venue is a perfect setting for parties & weddings. Its just a darling place!
Great place to see preserved history. We were unable to go inside the buildings due to the COVID fiasco, but we were still allowed to walk around and look int the windows (at no charge). Definitely a must see in Nac.
Very nice views. Lots of History here
Beautiful log homes and mid to late 1800s buildings to tour. Really enjoyed the visit. Love the Dogtrot and its authentic decorations!
Nice display of an old town with homes, church, and businesses.
What an awesome location packed with history .. and their was so much that I didnt see !
Such a unique, historic village to be located in Nacogdoches. I has an extremely beautiful atmosphere, and is a great afternoon activity spot. The pictures and video are from The Blueberry Jam, that was held Saturday night after the Blueberry Festival. The band in the video is The Brick Street Blues Band. Fun Fact: My parents had their wedding at the white chapel(pictured) in 1990.
Wonderful, historic village and venue. I highly encourage visitors to attend. Rent it for your birthdays, weddings, graduation parties or musical festivals. Dont forget Pine Knot on the last Friday of most months. Im so thankful we have this gem of a place. Thanks to all who organized the successful, peaceful Blueberry Jam 2019! Yall Mark your calenders for next year; the weather & music was PERFECT family fun.
Such a cool, historic place. They are great about getting kids involved. Great artifacts and things to see.
Great wedding venue!
Beautiful museum and recreated village. Great to have this in Nacogdoches. Really fun to walk around at your own pace.
Absolutely amazing place!! The Halloween party they put on was awesome and it was great for the entire family!! We will definitely be going back next year!!
It was a very nice place to visit, the buildings were each a history lesson of it’s own and very inexpensive and relaxing visit. On the critical side it would be nice to have table clothes on the picnic tables and have the person taking the entrance fee in the nice country store. Will be coming back for another visit.
Spent the afternoon looking the buildings, super fun!
One of my favorite places to go on a beautiful day. So many interactive things to do with the kids as well as educational things. The buildings are so beautiful and very friendly staff. Fun for adults and kids alike. They also put on special events during holidays! If you havent been here, you should definitely take the trip and make a donation (there is no fee to get in).
Im sure its a good educational area, however I was there for an event. A historic house was rented and used for a birthday party. Overall place was lovely and perfect for the quiet event.
Went there to play music, it was my first time there. Had a really good time. Great scenery. They were filming a movie there the same day we were there, a lot of historic buildings from 1800s to early 1900s.
Has made some changes this year and were for the best! It seems there are new owners and have seen more of it in last year than in previous years together. Great Job new owners!
So much history at this place. Cant wait to come back with the children to take a step back in time when life was much simpler.
Amazing window into the past and the way Texans lived. Its a shame they cannot afford better and more Maintenance. Serious deterioration is occurring.
If youre interested in local history, looking for a place to have a wedding or reception, this might be for you.I live on the Sitton farm, where the log cabin came from.
Went to the Christmas event it was nice had a good time.
This place is awesome. Historical
Millards Crossing is like taking a step back in time. It was an amazing thing that was done to preserve the buildings. It is wonderful to see something like this as it is a learning tool any and all who enjoy historical places. I will be going again as the day I went some of the places were closed due to rain.
They always have great events here.
Overall good place for your event. newly renovated barn was cool. kid friendly, could use some work being ADA compliant, but its historic.
It was good, but there use to be guides...only one we really had any help historically from was the blacksmith. But still was really good
This is such an amazing little gem for our town. I even used the chapel for my wedding.
A treat for the eyes and so much history to be learned.
So quiet and so much to see. Rich history!
Homes from when Nac was first founded,A ton of info and great for history geeks like myself!
Attended a wedding here. Very nice setting. The reception dinner was held in the barn. The barn is very nice.
This is my favorite place in NAC.
Very interesting place. Enjoyed our visit very much.
What a great place to go and gander at how people used to live in the USA. This little village has 14 buildings to tour. Many of these buildings were moved from down town locations and now you can take your time looking back in time or you can take a guided tour if you have at least 4 people. You can even learn to weave and do many other hands on activities. Also, this is the place to go during the Christmas season to enjoy the antique decor.
We really enjoyed our tour. So much information shared by our great docent, Rox Couch. We highly recommend spending a couple of hours here, stepping back in time to remember life as it was over a hundred years ago.
Cool village with historic properties. Really enjoyed walking through them and exploring the grounds.
Thanks to all who contribute to this work.... Its a treasure worth showing off to visiting friends.
Nice, clean, quite and romantic place for a wedding. Plenty of space for outside activity as well.
Enjoyed the visit very much. Would love to come back in the fall and help with some cast iron cooking.
A lot of great activities for field trips and all is educational. A lot of wonderful historical artifacts and amazing houses built in the 1800s.
Great Halloween event
Step into a time long past when u visit Millards...they have guided tours and also buildings dedicated to wedding rentals
It was over priced. The historic aspect was neat but for whom? Not somewhere Id take kids more than once. Only thing for kids to do was to ride the four wheeler wagon. A pony ride... One small lap around nothing, and a petting zoo that made me want to go get rabies shots. All in all its neat in the historic idea, but $10 for adults.... Thats not even close. Had there been more entertaining stuff to do for the kids and the adults. $10 would have been fair. But sadly I could have seen the entire village in ten mins.
The buildings were well maintained, and they offer hands on activities for children, including anty over and quill writing.
Great place to visit.
Nice place
Went to a wedding here. Didn’t get to access the village, but it looked beautiful.
We decided to take a couple of days and get out of North Texas. We have already been North, South and West. The next logical choice was the piney woods of East Texas. I wanted to go to Nacogdoches because it seemed to have a lot of historical sites, which I love. The highlight of our trip was Millards Crossing. It is not just one historical house. Its a small city. There are several houses, a church, a school, a blacksmith shop, a doctors office, a corn crib and a caboose. Each place is furnished wirh antiques dating back to the 1830s-1900. The largest house has a little girls bedroom and master bedroom that were amazing. We spent close to 3 hours roaming around. There is also a nice little gift shop with unique older toys and candies to purchase. If you are in the area, make the trip to Millards Crossing. It is so worth the time.
It was nice and historical, but a few of the nice places in there were locked and the visitor center was locked, and the little store had no one in it.
Great host! There are many different old homes, shops and buildings. Hands on old shop and kitchen tools for all to figure out what they do and how to use.
About 20 vintage buildings from the 1800s, each one filled with corresponding items that were used in daily living. Wonderful walk-through experience.
Cool place.
Amazing place! Had my wedding here and it turned out beautiful!
We enjoy the tour.
Genuine step back in time! Surprised to see so many items from my childhood
