This park is right next to the channel. Lots of shade trees, playground equipment, toilets, picnic tables. Be aware you now have to purchase a daily or yearly parking pass. It is a $30 ticket if they catch you without one.
Beautiful shady setting with an abundance of picnic tables. Spectacular views of the channel and boat traffic.
They have a really nice picnic area and access to Lake Michigan. Also they have some nice boardwalk trails in the dunes.
Enjoy walking every time I go visit I enjoy nice atmosphere
Restrooms, tables, shelter with electricity, great location, free parking, well maintained.
As Darth I love meeting people and greeting the boats.
Well maintained park and grills are always cleaned
Watching the boats. Soothing and relaxing atmosphere
Favorite place to be on my bike or walking.
I absolutely love this park! Theres a picnic pavilion, a bath house with toilets, a playground, lots of picnic tables and plenty of parking and shade trees. Youre a quick walk to Pier Marquette Beach, a light house and the Silverside (submarine that can be toured). Walk out to the light house, tour the sub, watch the boats in the channel, or just relax and enjoy the park. Its a great place.
Nice place for a picnic
Beautiful park by Lake Michigan in Muskegon. Green grass, great playground, nice restrooms. Wonderful place for a picnic. Call to reserve if you have a large group.
Beautiful park. Frequent security patrols by friendly rangers. Great family environment.
EXCELLENT WEATHER VERY NICE
My family loves to go to this park its very pleasant and has everything you need for a picnic. We have went here for playtime and picnics often one of our favs!
Our first picnic this year. Watched one lonely boat in the channel, and shared our lunch with a sea gull. Such a pretty day as we enjoyed the gazebo on the channel. Our favorite get away.
Joel Gelders how do u like this place
Very nice park for kids to play and peaceful for adults who just want to be by themselves.
I love the water so I love the park
Ive been bringing my kids here since 2000. Now I can enjoy it with the grandbaby
The park had what we needed today - a clean-ish restroom, equipment for the kids to play on and a shady tree under which to have a picnic. The picnic tables here are pretty shot and need replacing. One of them had a big hole burned into it. The restroom does not have a diaper changing station. Other than that its a nice place to play.
Walk there almost every day
Good place to have a party or hang out with friends, family,or the kids
Very nice, easy access, great park for all
Nice parking. Shady spots
Great place for a walk or a good view.
Great place for a picnic
Nice
Love watching boats come and go with my kids
Nice beach, right on the channel where the big boats come into so its a very cool place to watch that from. Got a restaraunt right on the beach also. We like it here!!
Just a lovely little park. Close to the beach with beautiful views.
Very nice park along the channel. Ample parking, rest rooms. Play area and picnic tables. Bbq grills.
Fun place for kids and families. Nice place for kids to play on slides and swings. Picnic tables and grills onsite. Lake Michigan is yards away.
Our Parks, all rocks, theyre all awesome,, great places to spend some time with family and friends,,
Beautiful little park just northwest of Pere Marquette park. Adjacent to the Muskegon channel. This park has grass, charcoal barbecue grills, playground equipment, bathrooms, picnic tables, and beautiful shade trees. Being adjacent to two lakes (Lake Michigan and Muskegon lake) normally means nice breezes. Free parking is available although sometimes scarce. Weekends tend to be crowded. Close to two beaches, and a seasonal restaurant. The historic Muskegon lighthouse is nearby as well, sometimes open for tours. Just west of the park is the USS Silvers ides submarine Museum (admission required). All in all, a great place for a relaxing day.
Nice place tohave cook outs
Excellent local park perfect for family outings with close access to both beaches within walking distance
Always love the channel at Pere Marquette park... Lake Michigan draws you there.
Wonderful playground at a great park at the ovals on Lake Michigan in Muskegon, Michigan. Loved it!

Near main beach but tree shaded and not as busy with children.
Great for shore fishing

The park is very beautiful. Nice to walk around. The lighthouse tour was awesome.
Beautiful park on the Muskegon Channel has play ground equipment for the little ones. Grills for cooking, picnic tables, shelters and lots of grass to play. It is only a short walk to the beach.
Like watching the boats go thru the harbor
Super clean and nice park.
For those that dont like the nearby Pere Marquette beach, this might be a better place to go. This park has a nice view of the Channel, the passage of water between Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. Here, you can see ships passing between those two lakes. It is also a nice place to go fishing.
