The trail follows the river. Pleasant hike.
Beautiful park in a beautiful location.. This park has multiple trails along running water, it also includes a waterfall, places to sit and reflect.. The walking trail is pet friendly offering cleanup bags not to mention the defibrillator at the begining of the walking trail for emergencies highly recommend checking this one out.. Quiet peaceful spot in the middle of the busy city..
This used to be a good place for walking and even some pretty good birding. Now it is basically a dog park. Expect to find one or more dogs not on a leash (violation of posted ordinance). Also, be prepared to clean dog mess off your shoes, as there are many inconsiderate dog owners there.
One of the nicest trails Ive ever seen on a small scale. Sits in the middle of the suburbia of Mountain Brook, so you know its nice. Theres not a lot of parking because of its location. About three cars will fit comfortably. The trail runs along a branch of the Cahaba. A lot of people use the trail for running and walking. Its dog friendly and I saw two golden retrievers jump into the water to cool off before rejoining their humans. There is ruins of the Civil War about 1/2mile in. Its fenced in, so you cant get a great look at it. Overall, its worth a visit.
My favorite place to walk. A nice wide walking trail through a wooded area with a stream running beside it and rich with local history. A place to walk your dog, the trail has small hills and flat areas for good exercise.
Its really convenient to Mountain Brook & a nice trail to take your mind off things. Youre likely to encounter other people, primairly with dogs.
Well kept and quiet. One of our go-to spots for a stroll through the woods. There is a creek and the area is very dog friendly.
Easy walk. 1.3 miles from end to end. Somewhat peaceful, but expect nice folks with nice pups.
Nice place for a walk along the stream. Friendly people.
It was calm and quiet. I really enjoyed the short trail.
An incredible place to walk an easy mile. Our dog absolutely loves the creek that runs along the trail.
Great little scenic walking/jogging trail. Has some interesting history dating to the civil war. The far end dumps you out onto a private drive, but its still a pleasure to double back and take the time to explore the beauty of this creekside path. Dogs are allowed, and there are plenty of benches and other spots to rest. Being among the fireflies at dusk was truly refreshing. Cheers.
Great place to walk a dog, or bring your child. Not a long walk, and pretty easy path.
Clean peaceful trail
Great place to walk, with or without furry friends !
Gorgeous. Peaceful.
This trail is a hidden gem.
