Had a great time and a great experience going here with my friends. Definitely the best bar to go into first when you turn 21.

We went for lunch and found the place to not be crowded mid-day on a Tuesday. The female bartender was lovely, taking pictures for us and giving us all the time in the world to chat, order and eat. The menu was very extensive and the prices were quite reasonable. The place is huge with an up and downstairs and I would guess is quite lively on the weekends.

Had a great afternoon out with friends. Attentive staff. Never felt rushed. Got cool after sundown, but they said they are bringing in heaters.

I just wanted to share my experience there last night. I was eating outside under the tent. I big thunderstorm came through with lots of heavy rain and wind. The employees were amazing! Despite getting soaked they continued to deliver food as best they could, made the patrons feel comfortable did what they could to help them all the while taking it in stride and keeping up good spirits. once the weather cleared they dried off the table and chairs. My food came out not as hot as i would have liked. I just asked to have it heated up and they ended up making a new nacho order. They really went above and beyond of what would be expected. Thank you so much!

I want to start out by saying EVERY server, Tim, John, Alex, EXCELLENT; so kind and attentive. HOWEVER, Chrissy was rude and kicked us out of our table. She specifically said “the host said they have people waiting and need the table”. We had a large check, and it’s not like we weren’t continuously drinking; we were! Every time one of the gentlemen servers came over we ordered a round. They were attentive and very timely. Chrissy, however, was lackluster.We went to talk to the host after paying the bill which Chrissy hastily made us pay, and the host said she has plenty of tables and there was no need to move. I found Chrissy’s service rude and pushy, definitely not the kind of person meant to be working in this industry. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied in her attempt to make us feel like welcomed guests as we have been here many times before.

I had yesterday lunch with my husband and I can tell the place looks sooo cool! I wonder how it looks on weekends! I’ll give a try for sure .We’ve got fish and chips, which were amazing and a platter with chicken and spicy sauce(unfortunately I don’t remember the name). The platter wasn’t that good to be onest, the texture of the chicken was kinda hard. We told our server about this and she was sooo nice that she took it off our bill!! The service was excellent!!!We’ll be back for sure!!!

Amazing service and good/affordable cocktails and huge food portions. All of the bartenders were incredibly attentive and nice. Tim did a great job taking care of us and we will definitely be back! Thank you!

The onion rings are great, but the chicken fingers are very large pieces -- too large to be fingers and very chewy. Not whats expected when ordering chicken fingers. I wouldve returned these had I eaten at the restaurant. Enjoy the onion rings!

Grasshopper is always a good time on a Friday or Saturday. I like how its a good mix of college students and older patrons. The drinks are good and well-priced. They always play great music upstairs or have good live music. Its a good place to dance (with space!) or you can get there early and chat with the bartenders. With a chill party vibe and usually 2 open floors, its my go-to bar on the weekend, especially to start the night off right with friends.

Young crowd of college kids at night. That is good if you like the noisy, party scene. If not, its a quiet place in the day to grab lunch or dinner in a nice Irish pub setting.

Cozy, atmospheric, with great food, and often surprisingly fast service.My favorite is the shepherd’s pie served in a crock, with lightly toasted fringes on the mashed potato topping and tasty mix of meat and veggies. (Careful, though — that crock is hot!) Im also partial to the French dip and the open-face turkey or roast beef sandwiches.One nice option is that if I prefer to skip the fries, Ive been able to request some wonderfully-seasoned mixed veggies instead.On weekends, the upper floor is open for extra dinner seating.A nice extra: theres wi-fi! :)

I meet friends in this lovely place from time to time! This is my favorite place to to have a good dinner. I go to this spot frequently. The cooking is of high quality, the workers are helpful and the prices are good. I like meeting in this place over a good lunch.

Stopped in for lunch and some sports at the bar last Sunday. Best burger (The Grasshopper Burger) out that Ive had in a long time. Perfect amount of fries, very well presented and delicious. If youre looking for the perfect lunch in the pub with a friendly staff and patrons, no one does it better.

Ive only been here on Friday or Saturday nights, so I cant speak to the food, but the night scene here is great! They always have a good cover band lined up, the bartenders are quick and friendly, and the security staff keep everything tight. A great place to dance the night away! Always a good mix of older folks, young adults, and college kids to keep it interesting. Drink prices are reasonable for the area.

Went in with a tank top on and they wouldnt serve me. It was a 90 degree day and I was out walking so I wanted to be comfortable. There were probably 3 people at the bar. Oh well the place down the street took my and their food was really good.

I am working in the Wine and Spirits industry and know most of the Bars and Restaurants in NJ and Morristown since I live there.The Grasshopper off the Green is from far the worst place to go out.The employee are disrespectful, people with high qualified jobs who have an attitude taking themselves for the masters of the universe. Yes indeed, they work in a dark bad smelling place where the food is awful and the bar selection very limited. The bartenders are steeling from the house and from the customers (offereing free drinks to their friends in exchange of a higher tip, charging you for water or trying to steel from drunk people).In few words the worst place to go out in Morristown. There are so many other nice places to go out so dont waste your time.Personally I will never go back there again and spend my money there.

Great place. Drinks can be expensive. They wont let drunk people in and they know if youve been drinking. I know because everytime my cousin bar hops and goes in drunk, they tell him he cant go in. They check ID right as soon as you enter the door. They dont tolerate drunk people. Great live music and amazing food. Sandwiches were delicious and drinks are just right. Lots of younger crowds. Can get crowded and hard to move around at times but overall, a fun place to relax and chill at. I recommend it.

Cornbeef and cabbage wasnt that good chewey. The atmosphere was great just not happy with my meal.

Flew into town for a couple of work meetings and went to the Grasshopper on the Green for drinks prior to dinner. Great Atmosphere, good vibe, and plenty of good drinks. Would love to go next time on a weekend to hang out or catch a game on one of the many TVs.

Nice pub. Food was solid. We had a big crew and enjoyed a range of staples from the menu, fish and chips, burgers, apps. Very good all around and good value. Service was very attentive.

Great Irish food!We went on a week night and it wasnt busy so we got seated and got our food vary quickly. The staff were vary friendly and the prices were vary good as were the portions of food.*we did have to park in public parking (you can use a credit or debit card to pay) and walk to the restaurants, it wasnt to far up the road.

Football Sunday with the Giants on, instead of putting the sound of the game on they decide to play Christmas songs and Taylor swift. This is the last time I go there for football.

Decent bar, not my type of scene. if you’re just looking for a bar with nice music this is your place. if you’re looking for a club like place try Iron Bar, not far away from this bar.

Good food and beer selection in a pub style atmosphere.

We were here for a party, which was great. However, what transpired afterwards was completely unacceptable. The bouncers were overtly aggressive and looking to start a fight. They put one guest in a chokehold without cause and carried him out of the bar by the neck. When attempting to discuss with the owner, Brian, he stated that he was “busy” due to Sunday football and would get back to us on Wednesday. Overall, poorly handled.

The hopper as its affectionately known by locals, is an authentic Irish pub where you can find a proper Irish breakfast available daily, rugby on the TVs weekends, and even Irish dancers on St. Patricks Day. Honestly, a truly fun spot and great for the young and young at heart.

This is my go to bar for watching big sports games. They get a good turnout and atmosphere for big games. The food is pub food and middling at best. The libations are on point and what you would expect for an Irish pub. Only complaint is that the room is pretty small.

The blue moon was so stail. It tasted aweful as if they didnt clean their lines. I love Irish pubs Im from England myself and spend a lot of time in Ireland. 5 stars for authenticity in the pub but 0 stars for the drink quality. Apologies for the bad review as the staff were nice but the beer was aweful.

I was kicked out for standing by arcade machine, waiting for a friend and they claim i was dry heaving. I was completely sober so do feel singled out. Not sure how they got to the conclusion since I was literally standing there do absolutely nothing. This was the most ridiculous experience Ive ever had

Great neighborhood bar to catch a drink - not so much something to eat.

If you were to ask me, I would say I have never experienced racism in my life; but, tonight I was at a loss for words. Blatant racism from the bartender. I walked outside and was smacked in the head by another bar patron when defending my views to the security on what happened when the bartender denied me service and then requested for me to be removed because of my color or nose shape. I have never in my life experienced something like this I thought racism was dead. Going to file a police report in the morning. Just can’t believe that this had happened to me. My white friend asked the police to take the license of the kid who hit me in the head but they didn’t and told him to move away because he was annoying them. Now I have to go to the police station to get the police report which doesn’t even include all the information that it should have included. Just in disbelief. Insane that a place such as this is still in business with the people they employ.

Good selection of beers, nice ambience

Great atmosphere, 20 oz draft beers, clean, dart boards, the bartender Crissy knows most people by name, Im not from Morristown but this Irish bar made me feel welcome.

First time visit, had really good ratings and reviews. Beer was nice and cold, service was great. Had the fish and chips, not in the top 10 of good ones. Batter was hard and chewy. Fries were cooked until they were crunchy. Thank God they had the malted viniger. Have it a 3 because the service was so good

Absolutely a trash establishment. If youre going for the bars dont bother the bouncers are a joke of people. Id rather go to a street corner in Paterson than that bar.

Inexpensive. Would not classify as a high end bar. But its fun and well kept. Will get crazy one weekends

Good beer selection. Our waitress was great and there was quick service. But, we went on a Friday night and man was it loud! I know Im an old guy (39) but we literally couldnt yell loud enough to talk. (This is at 11pm ish). The thing is, the place was half empty, it wasnt this crazy club with dancing and standing room only, it was AC/DC concert level for a quarter full bar of people trying to talk (Id say the average age was probably 35 or so). I know, they were probably trying to kick all of us old folks out, but there was no waiting line of 20 year olds on there way in.... We left a half empty bar at probably midnight because we could no longer hear each other.

Me and my family come here for the burgers, they are absolutely delicious, some of the best ive ever had. The facility itself is very clean and pleasant to sit it as for there are two levels in which you can sit. The service is also great, our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to pub/restaurant to everyone.

Consistently the best bartenders in Morristown. Great atmosphere for sports or weekend nights. Big fan of the Roast Beef Club on Rye.

Big space! Great for groups. There is a bar downstairs and more seating upstairs. There are a few vegan options. The veggie burger is black bean based and its delicious. Highly recommended!

Be careful using your credit card, my niece was charged a 100.00 tip on a 13.00 bill...I called to inquiry and all I was told was well we have the receipt, she signed it..CLearly a college student cant afford to give a tip let alone a 100.00.The worst part management could care less.. Again I was told she signed the receipt..Be Careful. .

The owner of this establishment pays for reviews. If you see this be happy you saw it before they paid to thave it removed. Horrible just horrible

The food is usually pretty good, but hey who goes to the bar for food? Drinks are always good and although the place gets packed they always manage to keep it together and provide decent service.

Food is good! The sheperd pie was really delicious. The added bonus is that for holiday season, if you spend more than $10 you can go to the Santa house at Morristown green and get a free santa photo for your kid!

Very good atmosphere

Great Irish pub atmosphere, good food, decent amount of beer on tap. Went from 0-60 once Notre Dame started playing, but to be expected.

The bathroom upstairs is labeled unisex and i got yelled at by the bouncer for going in there because above the unisex sign is a womens sign which i did not notice maybe you should put the correct signs on the correct doors instead of assuming my gender

A little disappointed. Food was okay. I am new to the area and I went to watch a Notre Dame football game. I figured an Irish bar would be the place to go. There were lots of people but no one interested in ND football. A couple watching Wake Forest and few watching Premier League Soccer. I left at half time.

I give it five stars because of those frign sliders....they are banging......I ate so many I didnt eat for a week after.....looked clean no dirty smell...I would go back just for the sliders

Drinks are super cheap plus the live bands make it even better
