This place was nice. My daughter’s face lit up when she saw the horses. It was a pleasant surprise for her. We happened to drive by after hours, so there wasn’t a lot of activity, but the place was still open to the public. The horses were friendly, they walked right up to us as we stood outside the fence, and gave my daughter a warm greeting. I’d definitely go back to this place and I especially look forward to checking it out when it’s actually open. If you’re in the area, I’d check it out if I were you.
Amazing whether you have children or not. Beautiful grounds, fabulous historic house & lovely farm animals. A mist go to visit!
Beautiful farm; lovingly ran by helpful, sweet and informative staff. The animals are docile and make great photo subjects. The farm backs up to many nature trails including Patriots path which runs the length of the town. Definitely worth a visit! I will be returning anytime I’m in the area.
I had such a great time at this living farm. Ali, head of the education program, was so informative and was able to give so much detail about the Fosters and the farms history. The exhibits are awesome and the animals are great. It is a lot of fun for any age and a great walking workout. I will definitely go again.
A one of a kind farm and historical experience that is fascinating for kids and adults alike. The staff are wonderful without exception. It is wonderful in all seasons but my personal favorite activities are ice cutting from the pond in winter and maple tree syrup tapping in the spring.
Really cool place. My younger kids had a good time on our walk in here.
Beautiful living farm. Take a tour of the main house, The Willows. Its beautiful and the tour guide is very informative. The people who work the farm are also very informative and friendly. Bring a lunch as there is no food to buy.
Was here for fall wine festival from the moment we got there the guys who were directing us where to park to the cleanliness of the grounds were fantastic...only problem...were the greedy people who just thought of them selfs to stand in front of wine tasting tables and not care about the other people waiting to taste...
Very beautiful farm. Went for a Wine Festival. There were over a dozen different vineyards there sharing samples of their wines. The band was very good and the few food vendors were good selections. I would suggest you take a chair and a umbrella if its sunny.
Great place to see how a farm from the last century was run. Beautiful hour museum and plenty for the kids to see.
Beautiful and mind blowing place. I go there with my dog and we spend good time in summer.
One of the best days at one of the greatest farms in NJ.
A wonderful place. Beautiful to walk around and look at the animals and scenery
Kids loved it they really like seeing all of the animals
Historic property well preserved. Numerous events all year round. Well worth the visit.
It is a nice place.
Awesome annual Fall Wine Festival!!
A great place to learn about how a family farm was run at the turn of the nineteenth century. It is good for group tours.A large picnic shelter and a big tent for rental. It has a fine visitor center. Staff members are well informed .
What a beautiful setting country esque peaceful
Great living history farm
Been there multiple times, kids love it. Very well maintained and staff are incredibly nice
A wonderful education institution, a living history farm that provides a total experience. The place, the people and animals. Learn how the Foster Family lived and worked.
Fantastic. We went for the Irish immigrant day and had such a great time. The weather was not the best, despite the forecast calling for sun, but you could spend as much time as you wanted indoors or under shelter as you spent time with all the animals and did all of the actitivies. We started out with traditional music in the guest reception and went on to the piglets, lambs (one only 3 days old, adorable), horse, cows, a calf, and various poultry, including the most gorgeous black and white turkey. We went into the kitchen and various other farm buildings and helped with the chores for spring cleaning, My nephew, who is 11, got a real taste of life 100 years ago. We got to plant seeds, try Irish dancing, and even make a scarecrow. We also got to see fly tying for fishing from a master of the art. The staff and volunteers were all so friendly, we loved it. We would have stayed all day but lunch beckoned. We also had a short ride around the farm in the hay wagon and had a tour of the owner of the farms cottage and garden. If you want something fun, educational and all natural, this is the perfect place to visit.
Takes you back in history!
Great just amazing but it was hard to figure out the hours for when its open but the kids ️It so much
Cool place to bring the kids
What a beautiful historical farm. The staff is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about the Foster family on this working farm.
Working farm, on a small scale. Kids love it. Hours shown here are in season. Park is closed from late October until early April.
Great family day.
What a fun place. See everything how it worked in the old days, great knowledgable tour guides.
Lived around the corner for years and never knew this was here, its an amazing property
I didnt even get to go in. I brought my fully trained anxiety dog. Not prescribed. He is recognized by the ADA as a fully trained service animal. Hes passed all his tests. My aunt even used to work there for many years and came wiyh. The lady at the front told me that emotional support animals are not allowed then proceeded to hand me a paper that said If the dog was trained to handle the anxiety (like my dog) they were allowed, I proceeded to tell her my dog was trained and considered to be service, not emotional support and her only reply was He is not allowed in, Im not gonna argue. Its not my job to interpret the paper. she would not listen or even attempt to.. This place is Bs and there asking to be sued..
