We have not purchased a home through american homes, but we reside in their lot. I wouldnt recommend any of their mobile home communities to anyone. They do the bear minimum to maintain the park but do everything in their power to fine you if your house doesnt look like it isnt lived in. Our neighbor got a notice today about her childs ball being on her porch, thats it, nothing else. We got one about our neighbors car being parked in between the two trailers, on the street. They are non responsive to tenant complaints. You get charged $15 for every notice. Lovely place to live. STAY AWAY

We had a great experience buying our home at American Homes. When we met Eddie De Rosa, we knew we had met the guy who could put us in our perfect forever home. He was very patient and detailed. He always called us back to answer our questions. Also a big shout out for the secretary for helping me pick out my colors. Fantastic experience!!

Not worth your business they did our church wrong so if they will do a church wrong imagine what they will do to a common customer. The service outside of the sales man is extremely lacking of respect and caring for the customer. They only look for a way around of actually working and standing behind their work.

Very knowledgeable about the homes and set up. We were able to move walls and customize the home to our own needs. EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. No messing around when it came to set up of the home either. We were given guidance on getting utilities, foundation, and porches. Overall, an informative and stress free process. We purchased a house in June and Mr. Eddie DeRosa is the consultant that assisted us through the buying process. Eddie was very helpful in every step leading to the purchase: he was very respectful, knowledgeable and always patiently there to answer our questions and assist us with the customization of the house we had chosen. Worth to mention is also Mrs. Judy Wise, the person in charge of scheduling and organizing all the steps necessary to complete the house; she is has also been always respectful, knowledgeable and patient with all the questions about the steps and the timing of having the final product ready. In general, so far we had a great experience with American Homes.

I worked with Holly on finding and designing the home that I wanted. She explained the process and helped me every step of the way. I did not end up purchasing a home with them, but I would still recommend anyone with land to build a home on to consider American Homes and working with Holly and her team.

Jim Gauden is the most knowledgeable and customer oriented person in the business. He goes above and beyond and doesn’t stop until every detail is on point to exactly what the customer wants! My only choice!!

Terrible experience.My wife and I went on a Saturday and met Jim. After a brief discussion Jim told us to go check out a couple houses on the lot. When we came back we told him we were interested in the “Winchester”. He said that model would be slightly out of our price range because to order it would cost $105,000, but if we buy the one on the lot we could make it work because he could take $15,000 off the price and sell it for $90,000. We were interested. After talking with Jim for a little while he advised that he would be in touch the following Monday, and we could put a $500 deposit down by credit card on Monday. We shook his hand and left.Monday came, nothing from Jim. Tuesday came, nothing from Jim. Wednesday came, nothing from Jim. On Thursday my wife finally reached out to him and asked what’s going on. I have texts to prove it. He apologized and said Thursday was his day off, but he would get back to us Friday. That did not happen either because it snowed. Finally on Saturday I got an email basically saying that the “Winchester” on the lot isn’t for sale until summer, but he could give me a price on something else. At that point I knew something was up.My wife then contacted Holly who is Jims supervisor. Holly informed my wife that the prices Jim gave for the “Winchester” is actually the price of a different home. So instead of him just admitting a mistake he choose to ignore us and hope we go away. When my wife contacted him he decided to make up a story about not being able to sell the house until summer. The only thing Holly offered was an apology.He ignored us and then made up a story to try and cover his mistake. He’s also very unprofessional using the “F” word throughout his conversation. His email looks like a second grader typed it. I have that as well.

My partner and I stopped by and talked with young Patrick. He was quick to assist us and answer our questions. He was well put together and easy on the eyes. American Homes is lucky to have an asset on staff like him. Cheers!

Knowledgeable, friendly staff. The prices seemed to be a little on the high end but it includes all delivery and setup also these were some of the nicer new and used models weve seen in the area. If you looking into buying a mobile home youd do yourself a disservice not to at least check em out.

Patrick Slider at American Homes is absolutely amazing to work with. Extremely professional, thorough and doesnt miss a beat. I am most impressed with his communication. He does what he says he will do and communicates back quickly. We are tough clients to please.

They do not care about there customers after they get there money. You will be on your own with any problems you have.

This review is based on renting a storage unit from them located in Uniontown pa at the holiday self storage units...when Im done with my unit Never Again will I rent from them...... when I first got the unit back in April i had to sweep it out before I could put anything in it since it was dirty. A few months later I made a pmt over the phone before the unit pmt was due. came out of my bank acct, ok... A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail saying I was late and needed to make a pmt before I got locked out. When I called they said their system didnt update properly n it took them a min to find my pmt. So I started paying cash n getting paper receipts. This past Nov i made my pmt got my receipt like normal. When I went back in Dec. It was a few days late but not enough for a lock out. Didnt matter i was locked out. No letter or nothing. I called n they couldnt find nov pmt n my stuff was scheduled to be auctioned. It was applied to a diff unit! they had me not paying on mine two months! They said they would unlock it that day since I clearly made my pmts. Went back a week or so later still locked out. Went back today still locked out! Absolutely terrible! ....................... Response to owners response: it says in my review the storage units located in PA. U guys own those units just like u are the ones who sell the homes in the park. Same ppl who take pmts out of my bank acct for storage pmts. Smh

I had a chance to work with Mr. Slider, I found him to be extremely friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable . He seemed to be genuinely concerned about my needs. I would highly recommend him.

Service? Where? The only thing they respond to is ways to overcharge and make false promises.

When our family found it necessary to move my elderly mother into a smaller residence due to her declining health, we found newer model manufactured home for sale at Canyon Village just outside of Morgantown, WV. The sales person who facilitated the purchase of this home was kind, courteous, and detail oriented, and the entire process went more smoothly and quickly than we thought possible.Even better, we have found the management, maintenance, safety and cleanliness of Canyon Village to be superb. I live in an American home sold to us by Big Jim and it is absolutely amazing and will definitely be buying another one when the time comes!

Mountaineer Village (American Homes property) is a nice place, and sure, residents should keep their lawns up. But to charge people (highly inconsistently, the person’s lawn I’m talking about has been 2 times worse over spans of several days, and no fine) $55 for a 7 minute lawn mowing on a riding mower is greedy and absurd. Warnings are not given, even if you’ve never been fined before. Shady practice for sure, especially in October, when it is supposed to snow in 1-2 weeks.
