Riverbottom Park

Just the facts. This is a community park in my hometown. I have always loved the park and the work that has been done to develop the activities available is awesome. Its free entertainment for the whole family. Some of the equipment you need to do some of the activities cost what it costs its life. I always enjoy my visits to the park and the trails offer great scenery and several levels of difficulty which lets all fitness levels enjoy trails. The water sports part I cant make first hand comments on but I love watching everyone practice and show their stuff. The work out stations on the main trail are well maintained, bring sanitizer with you, COVID and lots of other viruses and germs can live on surfaces. Its your job to Sanitize before you use it. Keep up the good work Montrose parks and recreation you do a great job keeping things clean and safe, while a few in the community seem to do everything they can to make your jobs harder and cost the community money to fix things.

Nice park also has free wifi.Good place to take the kidos.Also have kayak and surf entrances to the river. They also have baseball fields and a trail to walk on..

Well we love to river bottom park. We used to live there and we came back for a visit and theyve really updated it its very nice you can tube down the creek and they have little surfing area rock climbing lots of shade clean bathrooms horseshoes swing sets a little stream kids can float little paper boats down where you really enjoyed it.

It was amazing and cold. I still enjoy the outside

Nice place to bring your dog and kids..It has a skate park water park and baseball fields all free.. Nice picnic areas as well with hiking trails.. A nice day in the sun

This is a peaceful place to go, with various trails to hike, or bike, and listen to the river. There are benches at various spots, and access to the river for fishing or kayaking. There is a park area and benches. Horse shoe pits, and plenty of space to just relax. They also have a skateboard park for those talented enough.

Great place to take the kids to get out. Can walk or ride. Can be crowded. Still a great little area!

Great place for everyone. My kid spends a lot of time at the skate park. I use the trails often and theres even stuff for those who dig water sport. Awesome place, usually quite clean.

Didnt expect this little gem! Great stop to stretch your legs if youre passing through. Wish I had a shorty cause one of the rapids is totally surfable.

Beautiful, but water fountains were not working for dogs.

A lot of trash cans and very clean. However it could use more security. Dont come after dark.

A visit to Riverbottom Park in Montrose, CO is enjoyable. Locals of many age groups are there to take advantage of the structures built up such as the skateboard ramps, swings and climbing apparatus. The river offers a cool escape to develop your white water skills upon. The river walk provides a nice family friendly paved path for walking, jogging or biking. Bathroom and picnic facilities are provided. If you are lucky to be there at the right time, then those new to driving will demonstrate the acceleration capabilities of their cars. Quite a show as they come across the parking lot.

This place is amazing. I feel blessed to live here in Montrose.

It was okay just like any other park with a small dirty pond. The grass was nice and the tall shade trees are nice.

Great place to spend the afternoon

One of the our favorite places to frequent! Great for picnics, BBQs, good little kid park, very good skater park area (check it out!!), the bike path cuts right through the park and is a very pleasurable walk(dogs too!), completely new restroom facilities, a frisbee golf course, a large pond on one side and a little bit bit smaller pond on the other with a fun gazebo where weve spent many holidays. The river even runs along side allowing for a water park to practice kayaking or river rafting.on either end of the park you will find baseball fields including some tennis courts. Now I ask you, what more can you ask for?!?!

Love River bottom been a favorite of mine since I was a kid here.

Its just serene clean and beautiful! What more can you ask? Great job Montrose! I hope you continue to be creative and innovative in the development of this town.(esp. The fishing )

Very nice park with a water park, dog park, picnic areas, soccer fields. I had trouble finding which way to go to find the trail to Colona. More signage would be nice.

Great place for the family. Fun for all ages. Great places to take family pictures, hike, play ball/frisbee etc.

Had a family BBQ. Was under a pavilion. We shared it with another family. I used the grill located at the park. Was extremely clean and a great time.

Was a great park for the family. Offered water sports, great playground for the little kids and a cement skate park. Only downfall was the methhead riding horses threw the park. His horse did not appreciate him, and acted out the entire 2+ hours around familys. After a while u could see parents moving their kids farther away from him, he was a mess!

Great town park! Something for everyone; walking dogs, jogging, childrens play areas, baseball and more. Right on the river with concrete walk ways. Doggie Park over at Cerise Park which ties into Riverbottom.

Close by for my evening walks. Lets my mind unwind.

Awesome park. It is beautiful with lots of places for activities to include skateboarding, basketball, hockey, hiking, a playground for the kids, and even a challenging and fun disc golf course.

This park is a gem of Montrose, because of the water-sports park! River surfing/rafting/kayaking... learn how to enjoy the whitewater right here in town. Wednesday evenings in the summer you can usually demo a watercraft for free!
