Baldridge Park

Expansive park with lots of mature trees for shade. Activities include picnicking, walking the dog, feeding the ducks near the pond, chucking horseshoes, playing disc golf, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiding, hiking, swinging, sliding, and skateboarding. Ive probably forgotten a few, but you get the idea.

This park has had a very nice makeover. It has tubing and a place to surf. Plenty of picnic areas with shade covers. Also if you drive around theres a zip line for the children lots of playground equipment. Clean restrooms we enjoyed the whole day there. Theres a bicycle park.

I recently moved to Montrose and I love this park. It is well-maintained and theres lots to do. I havent tried the wave park yet but plan to soon. Theres also trails for walking/biking, a skate park, duck pond, playground, covered patio and lots of space to just hang out and enjoy the place. I visit often and never get bored with it!

Large, spread out with a great white water park, skate park, playgrounds, disc golf course, and so much more!!!

Nice park in town. We stopped during road trip, took a quick dip and the got back on road. There are port-a-potties across the river at visitor center.

Very nice park only issue is the kids that come over drifting in cars at 40mph all day long in a 10 mph parking lot.

Disc Golf Course ReviewIf theres 18 baskets I wouldnt know. The course starts out on the other side of the bridge with a baby 190 first hole. From there you hike to top of the town (you can actually see all of Montrose and surrounding its gorgeous)...and for me everything fell apart on 7 because I shanked it into oblivion and happened upon tee pad ten after. Played a couple more and then after 14 the course is just lost on me.Tee pads have been reused and therefore labeled on the cement wrong, none of the baskets are marked with hole numbers and many of the tee pad maps are missing. If I had someone to show me this course all the way Im sure Id love it bunches....two of five stars otherwise.

Awesome water sports park and facilities. Walked a few holes of the disc golf course. I recommend playing it in the morning or evening in the summer as there is not a lot of shade and lot of elevation change. Bring lots of water and pace yourself.

Super city park in Montrose. Skate park. kid park, water sports or trails this place has it.The park is family friendly and welled maintained.

This is a great city park with so much to do. There are basketball courts, a great playground for small and older children, open green spaces, climbing walls, a river to play in and a great picnic area. Highly recommend this place for locals and travelers alike.

Was walking thru good scenery and quiet

The new additions to the river are great for my kids and make us eager to return as often as possible.

The water park has one of the best waves in the state and the park is clean and well cared for.

A visit to Baldridge Park in Montrose, CO is enjoyable. Locals of many age groups are there to take advantage of the structures built up such as the skateboard ramps, swings and climbing apparatus. The river offers a cool escape to develop your white water skills upon. The river walk provides a nice family friendly paved path for walking, jogging or biking. Bathroom and picnic facilities are provided. If you are lucky to be there at the right time, then those new to driving will demonstrate the acceleration capabilities of their cars. Quite a show as they come across the parking lot.

Best known as River bottom Park!!! They have made some bigger changes at this park including on the river with the rapids for all the fun water sports.

Its always fun at this park where you can picnic, hike, raft, and bring your dogs plus a cool playground.

Great park, lots of features like a water sports park, a huge gazebo for events, large duck pond, skate park, littles climbing wall, lots of trails, and the disc golf course.

The Func Fest and the water park have added such a fun dynamic to this part of town! Good job Montrose. They even provided free rental equipment available for anyone wanting to jump on in. With so many life guards in kyaks it allowed people of all ages to enjoy the water.

My review is solely based on the skatepark.Riding surface is rough, concrete is in poor condition. Chunks missing mid transition on quarter pipes, and throughout other areas of the park. This park is better styled for BMX over skateboarding.

Very need place lots to do.

A lot of family activity. Dads, moms, all outside enjoying the perfect atmosphere for literally 100 and one activities.

Fabulous park! They have everything! Kayaking, frizbee golf, playgrounds, paviluons, clean bathrooms, and nice trees!

In the mornings River Bottom is peaceful. I like to sit and get ready to tackle the days adventures. 970 Sports Rewind does Disc Golf clinics here, river tubes, nature walk groups, skateboard competitions and more throughout the year.

This is a great place to go..but it would be better if the clearly marked their handicapped parking or the local police started giving tickets to those that park in handicapped illegally.

We stopped at this nice Montrose City Park on our way home. Delightful. Full of trees, a small creek and the river nearby. We watched the wave surfers for awhile. Fun relaxing spot

This is a nicely maintained park with lots to do. theyve got the pond with the ducks and lots of picnic tables in a grass and tree area. Theres restrooms here which are okay. Its also a trailhead and some nice trails for walking and bicycling. Of course the river runs right through here. Then the rest of the park has sports fields and plenty of parking for those. Its a huge park and serves the community well.

Always loved this park grew up here so this is where I spent most my time.

Good fishing, hiking/biking trails, disc golf course and kayak/wave park. Playgrounds for the kids....something for everyone!

This is a top quality park. Amenities include cleanish flush toilets, a million picnic tables, a lot of parking, and a nice wide path for biking or running that cross crosses the Uncompaghre River on cute little bridges. As the Aiel would say, here you can find water and shade.

I love going here you can always go to the park with your friends. If you have a child that likes to ride bikes or scooters or something then you can always go to the skatepark. There is also a lot of trails going up hogback or sunset Mesa and their is a large field you can play on or have a picnic.

If you want a fun quick run of the river, this is the place to do it. The park has been updated with nice restrooms and picnic areas.

Great fun watching kayaking and rafting and seeing some folks experiencing ice cold mountain melt water on bare feet.

I love how theyve connected the trails with the rest of town. Its so nice to take the afternoon and just wander. 4 stars because it is a park and there are some sketchy characters that tend to hang out there.

This park is a gem of Montrose, because of the water-sports park! River surfing/rafting/kayaking... learn how to enjoy the whitewater right here in town. Wednesday evenings in the summer you can usually demo a watercraft for free!

Was a great place, kids had hours of fun, and friendly people,.Was visiting family from out of state, and my dad took us here,. We had a great time, walking, climbing the rocks, checking out the water park, kids played for hours on the park equipment, a little construction going on, but a beautiful Park.Colorful Colorado, always lives up to their name

This riverside park is a gem in Montrose Colorado. I go every morning the weather allows for a walk on the paved trail that follows along side the river. Every 50 yards or so, there is outside gym equipment to stop and use. For me, the sounds and sights of the river make my morning walk a real pleasure.

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Trails are well kept and not crowded. Dog friendly, but stay away from the dog park area. It is full of thistle, dog poo, broken glass and has no grass!I would give the park in general 5 stars if they would fix the dog park.***Edited*** I have no given it 5 stars because they got rid of the old dog park and built a beautiful new one. It is closer to Cerise park and it is an amazing g facility.
