Great place for young kids to learn about the cattle industry. Short introductory movie. Nice kid friendly area. Whole thing only takes 30-60 minutes.
Great place to go and learn about the cattle industry in Alabama. Excellent place for kids to learn about it through interactive means and from Mr. Bainbridge!
I really learned a lot. I love that this place is hands on for the kids.
Cute experience. We went with some friends and the staff was very helpful. Youll be able to spend about an hour here but not much more. Found it very interesting and our kids enjoyed dressing up like cattle ranchers.
We came last week and had the best time! Very fun for the kids and we enjoyed ourselves. Its so cool how there are things you didnt realize came from a cow. I nearly didnt give 5 stars because you allow people who arent handicapped to park in your handicapped spot. My son is handicapped and while we used one of the other spots I find it completely sad that someone was so blatantly disrespectful. They could have parked one spot over and left it accessible so that we could easily unload and have access to the ramp. Please do better for your Handicapped visitors.
Interesting place, even for those with no interest in ranching or cows. Well, let’s amend that : it helps to have some interest at least in cows as historical bovine varieties, or have children who like to play dress up as cattlemen, or to want to learn a bit about Alabama’s cattle and cotton history, or agriculture at large. It’s donation-based, so nothing lost, in any case.
This was the best experience for my children. They learned so much and when they see things out, they can related it back to the museum. The staff was very friendly and even made suggestions for farms to visit to get hands on experience. The dress up area was so much fun. My daughter said she enjoyed trying on chaps...who knew. They have a kitchen that is so educational and of course the kids can relate when in public. Highly recommend this FREE museum to past the time. Kids cant wait to return.
Nice little free place to see and learn.
A free museum (donations accepted) that the kids will enjoy. They particularly liked the role playing area where they could dress up as cowgirls and cowboys. Educational for parents as well.
Awesome place to take the family and spend time together.
Three or four stars.. hard to decide. v.vIts a really cool museum.. kind of a funny place somehow.. but its WAY too short.Montgomery REALLY needs more museums.. especially fun, kid-friendly ones.. and this is one of the better ones Montgomery has to offer..I think this museum is better for kids though. I wouldnt come back at my age.
Small museum funded by the cattle Industry, but very well done. Has some history, an interesting video statue, and a dress up area for kids. We enjoyed an hour here and it was free.
Great little museum to take the kids to. It took us about 2 hours to go through, with the kids playing quite a while in the dress up area
We always have a great time there with the kids. We go every year and they really enjoy dressing up and pretending to cook there and the staff is great.
My kids love the Mooseum! Once a visit, now always a visit!
This is a very small museum, but nicely done. If you have a kid thats interested in playing dress-up, and playing in a pretend kitchen, this would be a good 30-minute stop. If youre REALLY interested in the beef industry, and are the type of person that reads EVERYTHING in a museum, you may be able to spend an hour here (thats stretching it). Unfortunately, my two year old was too timid to enjoy much of it (scared of cows??) and Im a vegetarian, so it was lost on me. Haha
Cute place to visit.
So the mooseum was great for kids, as a cow loving vegetarian it was not what I was expecting but I still could appreciate the history.
Fun place for kids ~
It was alright. It is a geared toward very young children. The tour guide seemed disinterested in the tour and that had an effect on the tour itself.
Great place to learn about the cattle industry in Alabama
Im glad its free because its really small and not much to see but my daughter loved the kid area
Not sure how it was because it was closed during normal hours.
